Dear Parents and Students From Max Lucado “In the Eye of the Storm”, I offer the following reflection: Jesus Understands Jesus knows how you feel. You’re under the gun at work? Jesus knows how you feel. You’ve got more to do than is humanly possible? So did he. People take more from you than they give? Jesus understands. Your teenagers won’t listen? Your students won’t try? Jesus knows how you feel. You are precious to him. So precious that he became like you so that you would come to him. When you struggle, he listens. When you yearn, he responds. When you question, he hears. He has been there. He took our suffering on him and felt our pain for us. Isaiah 53:4 Jesus, in his humanity weeps with us as we feel profound sadness, loss and grief for the tens of thousands of lives lost and the millions affected by the recent devastation in Japan. We offer our deep compassion and pray for the loving repair of their nation’s spirit. Amen. Our visiting Japanese exchange students from Kanagawa. CONGRATULATIONS TO: Kathryn Roberts (Class of 2010) who has been awarded a Merit Certificate for the 2011 TJ Ryan Memorial Medal in recognition of academic achievements and leadership qualities demonstrated in Year 12. Erin Toohey (Year 11) on her recent success at the Queensland Diving Championships where she won a gold and silver medal. Erin will now be competing at the Australian Titles in Sydney over the Easter holidays. After that, she will also travel to France and Germany for some international diving experience. We wish her every success.
