Volume 23 - 5 August, 2014 Dear Parents and Students This week, I am away in Sydney attending a Loreto Principals’ Retreat with the Loreto Principals from Loreto Normanhurst (NSW), Kirribilli (NSW), Toorak (Vic), Ballarat (Vic), Marryatville (SA), Nedlands (WA) and John XXIII College (WA). Our retreat, the theme of which is “Mary Ward’s three touchstones: freedom, justice and sincerity: centred on relationships and grounded in truth”, is being led by Sr Angela Slattery IBVM. This Loreto community, as with the others, will most assuredly be in our hearts and prayers as we give priority time to reflection, companionable silence and ‘sisterly’ sharing and support. These annual retreat experiences ae both a blessing and a privilege. I thank you for your prayers as we seek to listen to the voice of God in our lives and our work.
REFLECTION The Mystery we call God is all around us. Everywhere. The great lesson of the spiritual life is to drink it in, in all its colours, all its shapes and all its tastes. “O taste and see that the Lord is good”, the Scriptures teach.
