Black leather belt if required on shorts (black is the only colour belt permitted)

Compulsory Accessories
The following accessories are compulsory or permitted as required:
College School Bag – compulsory regulation backpack style (Loreto blue with gold crest)
College Sport Bag - for sport equipment, clothing and co-curricular activity use only Not to be used in place of College School Bag (Navy with gold crest)
College Science / Art Coat – compulsory protective item (Year 7 -10 – navy with gold crest)
Bicycle helmet - compulsory if riding to school
White or navy blue hair ribbons, or Loreto white ribbon (other colours NOT permitted)
The following accessories are permitted for regulated occasions:
Loreto House Colour Ribbons (permitted for House events only)
Year 12 Jumpers (not be worn to or from school at any time)
JEWELLERY - The only permissible jewellery is a watch and a maximum of two sleepers or plain studs in each ear. Due to OHS, no dangling earrings, bracelets, rings or necklaces can be worn, unless for medical reasons. (Please refer to Mobile Device Policy for Smart Watches)
Uniform Expectations
Uniform expectations must be read in conjunction with the Loreto College Uniform Policy.
At Loreto College we expect our students to wear our College uniform with pride and in its entirety. The uniform must be worn at school, when representing our College and when travelling to and from school When students are in College uniform they must wear it correctly.
Wearing a school uniform is essential for many reasons. It promotes: a sense of pride and belonging to our College community; a positive college image; a positive self-image; identification and security within our College and the wider community;
Our uniform also: provides a lower cost to families in the long term by providing economical, serviceable and safe clothing; assists our College in meeting the Sun Smart guidelines; meets Occupational Health and Safety requirements.
Wearing our College uniform helps students to develop a sense of self-discipline, self-respect and responsibility It is the responsibility of parents to provide a uniform for their daughter and all uniform items must be clearly labelled with your child's surname.
Uniform Expectations Cont
College Blazer
The blazer is the outer garment that must be worn to and from school on all days (except on days when the Ballarat temperature is forecast to be 28 degrees or more, as published on SIMON, students are not required to wear the blazer)
The blazer must be worn to all school excursions and functions such as Assembly and Mass
The College Winter Soft Shell Coat must be worn over the College Blazer. It can not be worn to or from school in place of the College Blazer. The coat should not be worn in the classroom.
Uniform Shoes
Black lace-up leather shoes are the only shoes permitted. T-bars, raised heels, decorative colours, "ballet slippers' etc are not permitted
Sport Uniform for Notified Relaxed Uniform Days (such as Interaction and Carnival days)
There are specified dates on the school calendar where students and parents are advised the compulsory Sport Uniform can be worn all day, The compulsory Sport Uniform only is permitted. The Loreto lycra 2XU long skins and Loreto lycra crop shorts are NOT permitted – these specific items are for PE class and competition sport use only The lycra skins are not permitted to be worn to or from school on any occasion, if they are worn to and from school for any specific reason, the Loreto track pants or sport shorts must be worn over the top.
The academic uniform and the sport uniform should not be mixed in any way.
College Uniform Items
Where a specific College uniform item is available, no other generic item is permitted to be worn. This is includes permitted accessories such as winter scarf, winter soft shell coat, lycra skins.
Winter Tights
Navy winter tights are the only tights permitted. Sheer stockings are not permitted

Hairstyles (Cuts, styling and colours), Makeup and General Appearance
Hairstyles (cuts, styling and colours) makeup and general appearance that is clearly not natural and distract from the overall uniform presentation of the student are not permitted. Hair should be tidy and worn away from the face. Long hair (below shoulder length) should be tied up. OH&S requirements may stipulate that hair must be tied up securely for some subjects
Tattoos & Facial Piercings
Tattoos are not encouraged for students at any time. Facial piercings are not permitted.
Infringements
It is the responsibility of all College community members (students, parents and teachers) to ensure the uniform is worn correctly If a student is not in the appropriate uniform, the parent / carer must provide the student with a written note of explanation for that day only. Uniform infringements will incur a penalty. This may include students being sent home or jewellery/items confiscated.

Loreto College uniform is manufactured by Noone (Australia's premier school uniform specialists).
