Whether it is beach or backyard, the summer is perhaps the best time to create a family portrait. The days are long. The weather is warm. Everything is lush and beautiful.

MERCY CENTER FOR WOMEN

around serving the needs of women on their journey to recovery. They offer programs in finances, selfesteem, job readiness and other areas in building the “whole� person.

For the past seven years Lorei Portraits has worked closely with The Mercy Center for Women in creating donating portraits for the annual Women Making History event. The Mercy Center for Women established in 1994 enhances the lives of women and children fleeing domestic violence, homelessness and addiction. The Sisters of Mercy wrap the mission

The residents live together in a house filled with opportunity and promise for tomorrow. There are 15 bedrooms which can accommodate up to 15 women and 34 children. The residents take turns cooking, cleaning and helping each other daily. The Mercy Center works with women to become self-sufficient and to secure permanent housing.

Each year the Mercy Center for Women honors outstanding women from our community at their annual event: Women Making History.
