Our charming barista coffee trailer is the perfect addition to our school events, offering something delicious for everyone to enjoy.
Our College Coffee Shop, based in Zanetas Sixth Form Centre is open for parents on a Saturday morning between 8.30am and 11.30am. Drop in for artisan coffees, milkshakes, chilled drinks, pastries, cakes, popcorn and more! Enjoy the space to relax or work - WiFi is available.

Yoga Classes Yoga for Parents & Guardians is run by the talented Shannon Hyde. These are all-ability classes and run Monday evenings 8-9pm and Wednesday evenings 7.30pm-8.30pm, in the Dance Studio, Prideaux.

The Barn The Barn is our state-of-the-art Sport, Fitness, Wellness and Adventure centre, set in the heart of The 1200. Our strength and conditioning space, is open for students. Membership will be available for our parent community in the future. The Barn – Video
There’s something really special about standing on the sidelines, be it with rain dripping from our noses or seeking out cricketing shade, watching the children give their all, win or lose. School fixtures aren’t just about the sport; they’re a chance to share proud and painful moments, chat with other parents, and feel part of the team. Over time, those shared experiences have turned into lasting friendships. It’s a lovely reminder that the school journey is just as meaningful for us as parents as it is for our very lucky children.

The Stern Challenge
Walkers, runners and dog lovers?
Why not sign up for our 100k ultra marathon, The Stern Challenge, in May each year? Don’t panic, you can choose how far you run. An opportunity to meet like-minded parents, staff and pupils who love this challenge. Details will follow.
You are invited to make the most of the 1200 acres, there are many wonderful footpaths to explore. We also organise group dog walks. Parents often join us on a Saturday morning and walk or run the Beckwith route themselves to keep those fitness levels up!

Why not join the LWC Golf Society and enjoy fun, relaxed Golf Days throughout the year? It’s a great way to spend time with the Headmaster, fellow parents and Sternians, while enjoying the LWC community beyond the College. LWCGS Membership is free and all abilities are welcome. v LWC members also benefit from discounted green fees at Alton Golf Club, just 10 minutes from the College. Watching the music, drama, and dance performances at LWC has been one of the most powerful and memorable parts of our time here. Whether it’s your own child on stage or a friend’s, there’s something incredibly moving about seeing the students express themselves and share their talents so openly. These performances are full of powerful moments, moments of courage, creativity and joy, and they bring the school community together in such a meaningful way.

Being involved in school networking events, careers talks, and interviewing Fifth Formers has been a hugely rewarding experience. It’s a chance to give something back and play a small part in helping the next generation gain confidence and insight into the world beyond school. As parents, we bring real-world perspectives that can genuinely inspire and support the students, and it’s a great way to feel connected to the life of the school.

Futures Department Our Futures Department hosts events across the year for our pupils and we welcome support from parents to offer advice and guidance. Events include: Industry Round Tables - We welcome industry experts to join the Sixth Form to share their experiences and invite students to participate in the Q&As. Networking Mornings - These breakfast sessions welcome Sternians, parents and staff to talk about their careers with our young people; offering guidance and insights into their sector. These events also teach students about how to network in a business setting.
Futures Fair Our Futures Departent hosts events across the year for our senior pup and we welcome support This annual event welcomes over 50 stall holders from across a wide range of industries. Sectors represented at the fair have included architecture, microchip design, film makers, renewable energy, British Intelligence Services, banking and investment, management, aviation and many more. LWC Adventurers Society Rooted in Philanthropy, Bound for Adventure The LWC Adventurers Society is an exclusive community of parents, Sternians, former parents and staff who have taken on an LWC-organised challenge in support of the Lord Wandsworth Foundation. More than a fundraising community, the Adventurers Society brings together people with a shared spirit of adventure, courage and generosity. It’s a chance to celebrate achievements, forge lasting friendships and be part of something bigger.
Fundraising challenges The Philanthropy Team run a variety of fundraising challenges and epic adventures in aid of the Lord Wandsworth Foundation. From trekking the sands of the Sahara and the glaciers of Iceland to conquering the Yorkshire 3 Peaks, our Adventurers have embraced some incredible challenges. Next stop: the Camino de Santiago in September 2027. Why not join us! Some parents and members of the wider LWC community also take on their own challenges, such as marathons and longdistance cycle rides, to raise valuable sponsorship for The Foundation. In doing so, they become our Fundraising Legends.

PARENTAL ENGAGEMENT PROGRAMME
... aka how to grow a grown-up
Throughout the year, you'll be invited to take part in a series of events, both online and in person, featuring a diverse range of expert speakers. These sessions cover a broad spectrum of topics, aligned to the PSHEE programme, all aimed at supporting you and your child through every stage of their development. Look out for our pastoral pop-ups during Saturday fixtures this year. Below are a selection of the speakers that form part of our programme. Natasha Devon is an exam stress expert for BBC Bitesize and the author of Yes You Can: Ace Your Exams Without Losing Your Mind. She delivers engaging, practical talks that help students navigate academic pressure, understand stress, and maintain their mental wellbeing during exam season.
Patrick Foster is a motivational speaker, mental health advocate, and founder of GAM-Ed. Using his lived experience of addiction and recovery, Patrick empowers parents to spot hidden struggles, build youth resilience, and create environments where asking for help is an act of strength.
Global generational expert and Independent columnist Chloe Combi uses data-led human research to help world-leading institutions, brands, and governments get future-ready.
Jeffrey Boakye is an author, broadcaster and educator exploring race, masculinity, education and popular culture. A former secondary English teacher, he is a Senior Teaching Fellow at the University of Manchester and author of acclaimed books including Musical Truth, Hold Tight and Black, Listed. He also co-presents BBC Radio 4’s award-winning Add to Playlist.
Alicia Drummond is a BACP-accredited counsellor, parent coach, author, and speaker. For over a decade, she has supported adolescent wellbeing across schools, companies, and the NHS. She is a regular BBC radio guest, author of Why Every Teenager Needs a Parrot, and founder of Teen Tips.
Education speaker and school improvement partner Richard Wheadon leverages 20 years of leadership experience to help schools worldwide cultivate independent, resilient learners. He explores how we develop students’ learning habits.
