The last day of Watoto Wa Thamani (WWT) first term was marked with an Easter assembly for the parents. It was well attended and the parents were treated to a simple survey of the Old Testament, from creation to Christ, giving examples of those who lived trusting in God, yet who pointed towards the coming Saviour, the perfect and complete sacrifice for sinners. The children sang choruses, recited Psalm 23 and other verses, held up pictures, acted out various characters and others impacted by the Lord Jesus in His life and ministry. Oh, that their ears might have been open to hear God’s word and their hearts open to receive it. The school assembly was topped off with full term attendance prizes, tea and donuts.
Mama Selina is still patiently waiting for the conclusion of her court case. A lot depends on this ‘final judgement’, as her sister and her own two children also live with Mama Selina. Her sister looks after Daniel, who is nearly 10 months old, so Mama Selina can continue working as an assistant cook at WWT. This arrangement is working well, but if she loses her home, both families will be affected. We’re so glad we can trust the ‘only wise God’ who is in full control yet understands us and is able to ‘sympathise with us in our weaknesses.’
Last month, Baba and Mama Prince’s youngest child, Rightness (almost 6 years old), was admitted to hospital and put on drips for what doctors called ‘dirty blood.’ Clear explanations are rarely given. When we later read the discharge papers, we found Rightness had been treated for sepsis with antibiotics. She also had a diagnosis of severe chronic malnutrition, an autoimmune skin condition, and EEC syndrome (a genetic disorder). Rightness weighs only 11kg, although both parents are small, so this may partly explain her small size. When she was born, Baba Prince was unemployed (he now works at WWT), which likely contributed to her malnutrition. At WWT, Rightness eats small meals, receives daily vitamins, and is generally a happy child. Her condition explains her joined fingers (which were separated four years ago), cleft lip, and patchy hair and skin. We hope to translate the medical reports so the family can understand her condition, which has a 50% chance of being passed on. Their other three children are healthy.
Mama Lorensia and her three children have been faithfully attending gospel meetings for the past 11 weeks. She appears open to the message, and we pray she will soon trust Christ for salvation.
The WWT children are doing well. Recent assessments show clear progress in their learning and development. Sara, trained by Gill, has settled well into her role as assessor and in supporting children with special needs.
The rains have arrived and in plenty. We’ve had some terrific storms, and the forecast remains unchanged for the next few weeks. The grass is loving it, but the makuti roof of the WWT workers’ kitchen isn’t! Stephen and the maintenance team are in the process of
replacing the structure with steel posts and steel roofing sheets to ensure it stands for some time to come.
Amazingly, the rains have abated for each Thursday to date, so the Kids’ Club meetings have continued under the open skies. Attendance at both these and the Friday Kids’ Clubs has been dented due to school session timings, which has affected those able to recite the memory verses for a reward. But those who have succeeded have gone home with a prize and a smile on their faces. It is great to be able to sow the seed of God’s word in young and tender hearts. May God, by His Spirit, give the increase.
There’s good news regarding Gill’s fractured wrist. On advice from the Orthopaedic Consultant, the temporary cast was removed two weeks ago. Gill has now started gentle exercises and is wearing a soft support as a precaution. We thank the Lord for His overruling in this matter.

We would like to ask for prayer for the work being done here in Thailand among the many people from Myanmar who live here.
Recently, a friend called Poonam, has been showing an interest in the gospel. She is from Myanmar and is Buddhist and came here to find work. Poonam speaks some Thai and a little English but cannot read either of these languages. So, the week before last, Nui and I visited our friend and brother Chowkee at the Myanmar Christian Assembly (MCA) here in Bangkok, and we were able to get some tracts and a Bible in the Burmese language for Poonam. She was delighted to receive them. Do pray for her. She is a lovely lady of 45 years old and the mother of a 10-year-old boy who lives with his grandmother in Myanmar. Do pray also for the work among the Myanmar people here in Bangkok. The work was started by brother Chowkee who was brought up in a Christian home in Yangon and moved here to Bangkok to preach the gospel after getting married. The work commenced in an area of Bangkok where many Myanmar people live and today almost 400 attend every Sunday. From last month they have divided into two groups: a group using Burmese language and another group using Nepali. Many of these Myanmar people are actually Nepali but were brought up in Myanmar. It’s a complicated history.
As well as the work here in Bangkok there are another 35 assemblies in Thailand, some still fairly small. We would ask prayer for this work and for brother Chowkee and the wonderful work he is doing among the Myanmar people here in Thailand, many of whom are poor and work hard as factory labourers and domestic helpers. Pray especially for Poonam that she might come to know and trust the Lord Jesus.

As always, I am so thankful to the Lord that I can still live independently at almost 90 years of age and attend my home assembly (Pennsauken Gospel Hall), which meetings are a joy. Lord willing, two weeks of gospel tent meetings are planned for June. We are looking to the Lord for His blessing in the salvation of precious souls, as has been our experience in the past. The Barrington assembly also joins us in this effort.
We are thankful to report that not only have we seen souls saved, but souls have been baptised and received into fellowship. It is a joy to see them growing in grace and in the knowledge of the truth, taking part in all the activity of the assembly, gospel outreach and Sunday School. We frequently have ministry and gospel from visiting speakers throughout the year, which we enjoy. “God is good and doeth good.”
I was saved at the age of 9, baptised and received into fellowship at the age of 12, and have been in the assembly since March 1948! My parents were the first generation in their family to be saved and gathered out, having been religious Presbyterians. My beloved husband, Tommy Thompson, went to be with the Lord over 15 years ago.

BRAZIL Pirassununga
In the 1990’s, Pentecostals were only 9% of the population of Brazil; today they are over 30%, and very aggressive in disseminating their teaching. Please pray that the assemblies in this little part of central Brazil might not “be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ” (2 Corinthians 11:3).
Here in Pirassununga we try to have special ministry meetings over a prolonged weekend (Friday to Sunday) four or five times a year, and a neighbouring assembly has a monthly Bible reading on the second Monday of each month, which believers from the region attend. There are some young men rising up who are interested and gifted. Please pray for these matters.
This past weekend, Elen and I visited an assembly 14 hours’ drive from here. Close to 300 believers gathered. There were 14 meetings from Thursday night to Sunday afternoon. On the Lord’s Day evening we visited another assembly in São Felix, 45 minutes’ drive further in-land, returning home on the Monday.
The literature work continues occupying all available time! During the first three months of this year, we were enabled to reprint 14 volumes of the Ritchie Commentaries and print three new books. We value your prayers for the literature printing and distribution, as we are so aware that it can reach places that we are unable to go.
Thank you for your prayers.

Seed Sower Distribution
From 29th December –2nd January we attended a Seed Sower distribution in the city of Puebla, where Timothy and Jenna Stevenson are labouring in the gospel. More than 78,000 texts were distributed. There were believers from Mexico, USA, Canada and England present. Three couples from the assembly in Cancun were able to attend, along with our coworkers, David and Saly Cadenas. It was an encouraging time for all involved.
Visitors
The assembly enjoyed encouraging visits from a number of believers recently. During January Elton and Karen Krenzler (Fleetwood, British Colombia) spent two Sundays with the assembly at the beginning of the month. Kevin and Patty Flett (Santa Tecla, El Salvador), visited the assembly and brother Kevin helped in several meetings, also giving a missionary report on the work of the Lord in El Salvador. Andrew and Hope Barnhardt (Barrington, NJ) spent a Sunday with the assembly and Andrew preached in the gospel in Spanish. Derek and Judi Hanna and Wade and Maxine Bauld (Calgary, Alberta) were with us for a Sunday.
In February Samuel and Ruth Chesney (Xalapa, Mexico) came for three nights of ministry, which was appreciated by the assembly here. Joel and Rachel Holmes (Toronto, Ontario) spent a Sunday with us and Joel helped in ministry and gospel.
Event with Young People
On Saturday 28th February, the teenagers that attend the Bible class on Sunday enjoyed an outing together. Several of the believers got together and we took them to a soccer field, and then to a pool. We had a meal together and a word in the gospel was shared.

God in His faithfulness continues this wonderful ministry to this day. It is truly by the Lord’s divine grace that the work carries on. Give thanks to the Lord for… “He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ” Philippians 1:6.
The hospital in-patient and out-patient services are going well. There were around 20 leprosy inpatients with us last month. There are also out-patient cases with leprosy and HIV. There have also been many general cases, especially dermatology (skin infections). The Lord in His mercy is healing them.
We are in a need of a doctor. One of our doctors, Dr. Vileena, left this March for further studies and so Dr. Rufus Raj is the only one with us. Please pray for a new doctor in the will of God.
There are currently 110 children staying with us across both the hostels; in the George Muller Home for HIV and Dr. Edward Short’s hostel for the children of HIV and leprosy. Three girls from these hostels became professional nurses and are working at our hospital and also at Narsapur Christian Hospital. Two young boys also recently joined diploma training in Radio-Imaging Technology and Lab Technician courses at KIMS Medical College, Amalapuram. A few of the girls have completed Classes 11 and 12 (Intermediate) medical courses like BIPC, MLT and MPHW. Grade 10 exams are also going on now. Kindly pray for these children that they have a bright future and shine bright for the Glory of the Lord.
Tabitha is doing wonderful and Mounika is able to attend her semester 1 examinations. She is still weak but the Lord in His mercy is strengthening her. Kindly pray for her complete recovery.
On the 20th of March we conducted ‘Home Based Care’, a community care programme for the HIV patients. 18 patients attended and we provided them with medical care and spiritual care as well. It was a blessed day!

COSTA RICA / USA
San Jose / Louisiana
The close of 2025 brought big changes to our family as we felt the Lord’s leading in moving on from the assembly in San Juan de Dios in the capital city of San Jose. By God’s goodness and grace, the assembly has seen significant growth over the last several years and has local elders in place and men apt to teach the word faithfully to continue feeding the flock. We were thankful for the opportunity to be able to assist in a significant construction expansion project on the assembly building over the course of 2025 that allowed for more space as the hall was beginning to lack the space to house all the believers and visitors on a regular basis.
Crawford Family November 2025
Not only was our departure from the assembly in San Juan a significant event, but we also felt the Lord leading us to another part of the harvest field altogether outside of the country of Costa Rica. We saw the Lord very much at work in answering prayers and opening doors and providing the necessary paperwork to move to the south of the state of Louisiana in the USA. We had been involved on a very part time basis in the work of a new Spanish assembly in the area of the city of Hammond over the course of several short visits in the last few years. As a result of these visits and the Lord blessing in the gospel, we saw the Lord’s hand and felt the burden of working in the area and with the new assembly on a full-time basis. While the south of Louisiana is part of the “bible belt” in the USA, there are many in need of the gospel both in English and Spanish and much religious confusion as to the true biblical gospel.
As we are getting settled into life in a new country, we currently are in the process of renovating an older church building that was purchased upon our arrival so that there is a permanent place for the assembly to meet in as well as an established location for outreach opportunities. Prayers are appreciated for the Lord to raise up more local brothers to lead and teach the flock as well as guide in gospel outreach. To God be the glory, great things He hath done!

As ever, the gospel work here on the streets and the prisons is sustained by the faithful prayers of the Lord’s people. It’s a work that is full of ups and downs, highs and lows, encouragements and disappointments.
The streets and prison are full of violence, drugs, alcohol, and death so any encouragement is always welcome. Please pray for Gareth. I have known him for several years both on the street and in prison and I am as sure as I can be that he is a true Christian. On his release from prison, he is always homeless and that means he daily walks a tightrope and easily falls back into his old lifestyle. For the last few months he has been doing much better. I very rarely get involved in housing issues, but I am sure that Gareth truly is one of the Lord’s own sheep and safe accommodation would be a great help to him. I talk so easily and often about evangelism and the Christian life and forget how hard it is for those who come from a different and difficult background. The obstacles of homelessness/prison are huge but “with God nothing shall be impossible” Luke 1:37.
Pray also for George. Recently I was called to his cell. I have known him for many years. He is 50 and has bounced between homelessness on the streets and the prison for all his adult life. The officers were concerned about a change, not only in his physical condition, but in his demeanour. When I arrived, I can only say that George had the look of death about him. Medical attention is sparse inside prison, but I was able to escalate the concern so that an outside doctor was called (a great rarity). I was able to pray with him and left him in the care of the prison staff. When I left, they were considering sending for an emergency ambulance. However, in George’s cell I saw something that delighted my heart. Somehow over the previous few days he had “obtained” a marker pen. On the wall of his cell he had drawn a cross and around it he had written the gospel in the clearest possible terms.
Obviously, I couldn’t take a photograph of the cell wall, but I returned and copied it down word for word before it is painted over. I have used AI to try and reproduce the cell as it appeared to me last week (see picture). I pray that you will be able to share a little of the joy that filled my heart when I saw it. I see George on every visit to the prison. He is getting weaker and weaker every day. On my last visit he recognised me and was able to say my name, but little else. It was the highest privilege on earth to kneel by his bedside and pray for him in his condition.
I continue to be very involved in the distribution of the Seed Sowers John 3:16 texts and we have a full year of events in 2026. Pray especially for the distribution that took place in Dumfries in mid-April and the gospel meetings following.

ZAMBIA / NAMIBIA Loloma
Trip to Namibia
We have seen many encouraging aspects of the work in Namibia which we praise the Lord for, but we have also been discouraged at times. The growth of our dear brother Erickson and his wife Selma in the Word, and their testimony in the community, thrills our hearts. The ability of Selma to reach so many and bring them to the gospel meetings shows us much of her character.
During the month of March in Namibia we were able to check in on those that have shown interest in the gospel. Moses was so willing to receive the gospel, but it seems that as his personal life circumstances have improved, he has fallen by the wayside. It is all too common that when a job comes and family life is going well, God is forgotten.
Selma, (a seventeen-year-old girl that came out to bible studies we had in November) is still interested in the gospel. Her mother is opposed and has still forbidden her to come to bible studies. In our most recent visit, she was able to see us for a few hours in which I was able to convey the gospel to her once again.
Elias has been the neighbour of Erickson for many years, who we have got to know also. He still refuses to become a Christian for the sake of peace in his marriage, but makes sure that his daughter Ann Marie and his son Pineas come to all the meetings. Ann Marie is a smart young lady and came with some friends to bible study. They showed great interest. Erickson has a sister named Paulina who, when we first met her, was against us and would not be a part of anything we were doing. Just in the past year or so everything has changed. She wants to come to the meetings, and she is also bringing work mates.
Children's Meeting
One lady who was new to us during this visit is a neighbour to Selma and Erickson. Her name is Renzia and she came to every single Bible study throughout the month of March and was very disappointed when they came to an end. We do not know what she believes as she doesn’t say much, but along with her diligent attendance she was also seen to continually make notes of what was said.
At the beginning of March we were joined by a group of the believers from West Richmond as well as a few from Scotland. Those who
Bible Study in the House
joined us in Swakopmund distributed nearly all the 10,000 calendars printed for this outreach. The calendars were well received and good conversations were had. After the daily calendar distribution, in the late afternoon we had children’s meetings again in the shanty town called DRC. The children in the area know us well and remember the lessons and songs they have been taught in the past. It is a joy to the heart when, from a distance, you can hear the children sing these Sunday school songs on their own in their homes. We had a gift for those who came on the last day and there were over 140 children present. There was also a special prize for those who said the five memory verses pertaining to the ‘I am’s” of John’s gospel. It was amazing to see how many put the time and effort into that worthwhile challenge.
In the evenings we were able to have bible studies with a gospel focus for those who would come. We took up the book of Galatians which is a much-needed study. With so many leaning on good works for salvation we were able to point conclusively that it is by faith alone that one is saved. It was an encouragement to see many each night come with questions and a willingness to hear the gospel. It was a pleasure to give bibles to ones that didn’t have them either in English or a vernacular.
After we parted ways with those that had flown in to join us in Swakopmund we returned to Otjiwarango and stayed for three nights to have gospel meetings at the CEF building there. It was encouraging to speak with Patricia again and to see some of the faithful ladies in the area attending the meetings.
Gospel Meetings at Otjiwarango
We then headed north for Loloma. Things were a bit complicated in finding the best route home, but thankfully the Lord directed us, and we were able to make it home safely within three days with no complications. We truly do have a remarkable Saviour, and we look and rely on Him for help as we press forward with the gospel in Namibia and Zambia.

CANADA Summerside, PEI
We spent much of February with the assembly in Pugwash Junction, preaching the gospel. The assembly was exercised about having a series of meetings, and the Lord opened the door for Aaron Hubley (of the assembly in Nineveh, Nova Scotia) to be with me. We were thankful to see the Lord work in salvation among those in the surrounding area. Following the meetings, we were able to give teaching on baptism. We trust those who professed to be saved will continue to grow and show the reality of life.
In April, Joey Baker (of the assembly in Jackson, Michigan) and I shared two weeks of gospel meetings with the assembly in Halifax. It was encouraging to see a number of souls attending throughout the weeks we were there. We were thankful to hear of blessing in salvation at the concluding night of the series. For this, we give thanks to God.
We were able to be with the saints in Nineveh for their Easter conference. It was a joy to see so many of the Lord’s people there to hear the Word of God. The following weekend, I flew to Stout, Iowa, with Murray McCandless to be with the assembly for their conference. Again, it was encouraging to see so many attending. Both conferences were a real spiritual blessing.
Lord willing, we’ll be with the assembly in Nipissing Junction, ON, for a couple of weeks of gospel meetings starting on the 19th of April. The Saturday before the meetings begin, the assembly plans to distribute invitations in the area. We trust there will be a good response and that souls will come to hear the gospel. Local brethren will be helping me in preaching the gospel there each night. We look to the Lord for His help.
In May, we plan to join David Hunt for a series of gospel meetings with the assembly meeting at the Victoria Drive Gospel Hall in Vancouver, BC. In January, a Vietnamese couple we’ve been able to connect with moved to Vancouver and now live only five minutes from the Victoria Drive Gospel Hall. They’ve been introduced to some of the saints there, and we hope they’ll be able to attend some of the meetings.
“Brethren, pray for us” (1 Thessalonians 5:25). The prayers of the saints are greatly appreciated.

BRAZIL
Ituiutaba
Although far removed from events in the Middle East, and particularly Iran, the ripple effects are being felt here in Brazil. People are feeling the pinch due to the rise in the price of petrol and of goods at the supermarket. Unrest and fear have ensued, and the Government is concerned about the long-term effects of the war. New political alignments have resulted. There has been news of Chinese military officials cooperating with their Brazillian counterparts. This is still to be confirmed, but President Lula has definite Communist leanings. How good to know that world affairs are being played out according to the Lord’s plans and that our lives are safe in His hands.
Two national Workers commended from our town have returned here for medical attention. The wife of one is suffering from deep depression, but we are glad to report that treatment is delivering results, but at a very slow pace. Her son is also suffering from the same problem, but his case is not so serious. The other sister and her family are recovering in her mother’s home and finding the rest beneficial. The husbands have returned to their field of service. Please pray that the period of separation will be short.
We praise the Lord for strength to carry on the work He has given us to do. Last Sunday was spent visiting the assembly in Santa Vitória. The town is some 80km from Ituiutaba. It is most encouraging to see the progress of the work there. Souls are being saved and members added to the assembly. Brother Elias and his wife, commended workers, are very much involved in the community and do a valiant service for the Lord.
The building of the new hall in the Laranjeiras district of Uberlândia is nearing completion. We hope to have a special opening service later in April D.V.
The members of the original assembly in Uberaba will celebrate the Centenary of the commencement of the work there on the 1st of May D.V. No doubt tributes will be made to the late Mr. Richard Jones and to the late Mr. Willie Maxwell and their wives. Leila Maxwell (Willie’s daughter) still lives in town, as does her son Alexandre and his wife Rosani, both commended workers. It is encouraging to see how they are still having an influence in town.
Please continue to pray for our spiritual input in various areas; the assembly in Bairro Brasil, Bible studies, the monthly Bible study for all the assemblies in town, our visitation program and for Elizabeth’s involvement with the sisters and women.
We continue writing and have reprinted “The Journey of a Soul”, as a help for the newly converted. The next project is to print the first volume of four of our study in Mark’s Gospel.
Our health is much like a roller coaster; however, we do thank the Lord for His sufficient grace that enables us to travel over bumpy roads. We continue to value your prayer support. Eternity will reveal just how important you have been in our ministry.

The exciting and challenging work of street preaching has been ongoing four times each week in local towns here in the north-east for the past 14 years, and I thank the Lord for His faithfulness and care during this period. Historic Durham with its many students, tourists and shoppers continues to generate our most contacts.
DURHAM – February & March
My wife Bitten spoke at length with a young Chinese woman who was studying Religious Studies at the university. During their conversation, Bitten quoted the Lord’s words: “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me,” emphasising that Christ is the only way to God. She then directed the student to the verse printed on the back of the tract she had just accepted – John 3:16. As the student read it, she expressed her amazement: in just a few minutes she was due to attend a lecture in which John 3:16 was going to be considered! She thought this was an extraordinary coincidence. Having read John 3:16 to her, Bitten pressed the point, saying, “This verse demands a response from you. You cannot remain neutral.” We hope we will meet her again.
We engaged for some time with a Spanish Catholic student, Jake. He understood that labels such as ‘Catholic’ or ‘Methodist’ do not guarantee salvation and had some awareness of ‘trusting’ the Saviour, so we explained that true trust involves a total abandoning of oneself to the Lord. We discussed the new birth, and after he accepted my booklet Amazing Grace, I mentioned that the Lord is coming back to Earth. This surprised him, giving me the opportunity to pass on a Prophetic Witness magazine and a New Testament. A few weeks later he returned to tell me he had begun reading the New Testament, enjoying it and underlining verses he found interesting. Although short of time, his return visit was encouraging and highlights the value of doing a regular work in one place.
The board had just been set up and I was about to start preaching when Jacob, an A-Level student, approached to take a tract. David sensed from his body language that he wanted to talk further and we spent 20 minutes with him. He was very much into science and strongly committed to evolution, but he accepted literature.
Inesh, a computing student from Alaska, was keen to talk with David and was very open to the Gospel. Inesh admitted that he believed in a Creator due to the abundant evidence in creation. He left with a handful of literature.
SOUTH SHIELDS – March
About eight months ago, Bitten began tracting on Fridays at the shops near our hall. As a result, three senior citizens have been attending the meetings regularly. Following a Gospel meeting where baptism was mentioned, Carol (76) spoke with us and was given Jack Hay’s booklet A Simple Guide to Baptism. We had the joy of baptising her on 30th March, and after further conversations she asked for fellowship and was received into the assembly on 5th April, much to the encouragement of the saints. David, another contact from local tracting, joined us at the Gospel meeting a month ago and has continued to attend every Sunday. We feel he is a believer.
AnneMarie, a German lady in her 80s brought up in Lutheranism, trusted the Lord following our early encounters on the bridge in Durham. She comes through once a month to share a meal with us, followed by a short Bible study. On the last occasion she asked to look at Romans, where we considered the topic of justification – by blood, by grace, by resurrection, by faith and by God. She was visibly moved and seems to greatly value these sweet times of fellowship. We count it a privilege to be a ‘help’ to her.
I hope there may have been some encouragement from our brief encounters with the lost. ‘Brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may run and be glorified, even as also with you’ 2 Thess 3:1.

Bethany Hospital, Thane
SHILOH (End-of-Life Care Centre): Please pray for the necessary government permissions to begin admitting patients. Although the facility has been ready for over a year, we are waiting on the final green light. SHILOH is dedicated to providing completely free care to the poor and marginalised – a place where God’s love is demonstrated through action.
Bethany Hospital: We are now seeing over 900 outpatients daily. Please pray for wisdom in governance. As our founding leadership team has served for over 25 years, we are specifically praying for a new generation of God-fearing leaders to step into “second line” roles. Additionally, pray for the two mission hospitals we are currently supporting and managing to prevent their closure.
Navigating Change: Many local and central regulations are shifting. We require great wisdom to navigate these changes. While we do not know how long we will have the liberty to function as we do, we trust in God’s precious promises and know our times are in His hands.
NEEV (Centre for Specially Abled Children): The work continues to thrive, but our lead special educator is leaving to be married. Please pray for a suitable replacement. Many of our children come from single-parent homes, which adds an extra layer of challenge to their care.
NIJAAT (Drug and Alcohol Rehab): It is a great encouragement to see so many finding redemption in both body and soul. Please pray for the dedicated team responsible for the daily operations of this growing centre.
JSK (HIV/AIDS Ministry): We are encouraged by the beautiful stories of God’s intervention. While patient numbers have decreased due to better education and free government medication, we continue to focus on rehabilitation. Many former patients are now successfully employed within our hospital and associated establishments.
Personal Request: Please pray for Claire and I. Pray that we remain faithful to the calling and ministry the Lord has set before us. While the path has not always been easy, it is filled with joy. We thank God for His protection, care, and mercy over our 32 years here in Thane, India.

MEXICO
Mexico has changed from a third world country into a developing country. While the title may mean something to the world, it says little about the country itself. In fact, some of the only changes we see are that sin abounds more and more, and the violence has increased over the last few months. Just one month ago the federal government eliminated the leader of the Jalisco cartel. This caused an immediate reaction of blockades all through the metropolitan area of Guadalajara, where we live. These blockades extended to 14 states as the day progressed. Necessity caused the nation to resume “normal activities” within a few days. We are more careful as we travel through the country from place to place.
The assembly in Zapopan had its 17th anniversary in January. Since the pandemic we found it necessary to change the time of our gospel meeting from 7pm to 1:30pm. This made it possible for some who came to the Sunday school to now also stay for the gospel meeting. Within two months, two young people were saved at the gospel meeting. One of those young men has now asked for baptism. Another young man who travels across the city to come on the Lord’s Day has asked for baptism. During the interview he explained to us that he was invited to hear the gospel by a friend. He believed on the Lord Jesus, but soon began to have some doubts. He had opportunity to speak with his Sunday School teacher who explained that salvation was a free gift to be accepted. Since then, he has no doubt that he is saved. We are looking forward to a baptism soon.
The Lord has opened doors for us to serve in other parts of Latin America. For five years we have continued a Bible reading by zoom and are encouraged by believers from at least three different countries who join us. They have expressed their appreciation for this method to be able to learn from the Word of God.
Several times during the year I have the opportunity to share in ministry meetings with brother Sandy Higgins. Within the last year, we have visited the assemblies in Mexico City, Los Arcos, Zapopan, and Cancun. In November we were able to participate in a
Zapopan
conference in Manizales, Colombia. It was my privilege to stand beside my friend and interpret the word into Spanish. It was most encouraging to see the company gathered from 21 different assemblies. The enthusiasm and appreciation of the believers made us very thankful for the opportunity to serve in this way.
In the coming months we hope to participate in the activities of the Zapopan assembly. We also plan to be at the Spanish conference in Welland, Ontario. We are waiting for an order of Seed Sowers texts, since our supply has been depleted. These will be stored and shipped as the need requires for distribution throughout Mexico. We are looking forward to a series of Ministry meetings with brother Higgins in Zapopan. Later in the summer we hope to have our annual children’s meetings. There are believers in the assembly that were reached through the children’s work, so this encourages us to continue with this outreach.

The work the Lord has for us to do seems to be keeping us busy with travel this year. Weeks of gospel meetings and teaching ministry have been interspersed with some conferences, weddings and funerals.
January had us in Ontario, Wisconsin, for a week of meetings on the life of Joseph, while in February, we were happy to work with Dan Shutt in the gospel with the assembly in Sarnia, Ontario. The scope of the Sarnia work includes many children of believers, as well as a very healthy-sized group of immigrants who attend the local college. The believers from surrounding assemblies also help, and from the many who attended, we have heard of at least one, a young lady from Africa, who confessed a clear account of salvation during the meetings.

March and early April had us working in southern Saskatchewan with the assembly in the small town of Oxbow. I was helped by a young brother from Iowa who is involved in gospel work in his local area. The meetings and local visits were encouraging in different ways. As always, we leave the results with the Lord, but it’s hard not to think that some may have had their last opportunity. The believers in that area are well respected by their neighbours, with some of that showing through in door-to-door visitation.

Lord willing, the coming months will have us in Newfoundland again for some ministry at a few smaller assemblies, and then at the conference in Gander. Afterwards, we plan to be in Dunkerton, Iowa, with our brother Brandon Doll. I am very exercised about following up on contacts in that area that were coming to meetings last year when I was there. Please pray for this especially. Lord willing, August will be busy with gospel work in the Bridgewater area of Nova Scotia, helping David Hierlihy there.
There is a small community that we have been praying about visiting with the gospel in the coming months. I have been sending periodical gospel literature to Souris, PEI, for a few years. Last year, there was a response from a local who professes to be a believer. This year, another response from a different source. There are two believers connected with an assembly an hour away, but they work in the school system in Souris, and we have been chatting about looking for opportunities. Earlier this spring, Tim Burton and I did a short visit to the area to follow up on a contact and distribute some tracts. We are looking for definite direction, so please pray for an opening to work in the community in a way that glorifies the Lord.

When the Lord delays us to save a soul!
Writing from Jordan
I would like to share a very moving testimony we experienced in February while participating in the Cairo Book Fair — a testimony that made me stand in awe and humility before the wisdom of God and His wondrous providence for the salvation of a single soul!
After a very long, exhausting day at the fair, we just wanted to reach the Shubra ElKheima area to visit my cousin. We decided to take a taxi to save time, but the driver wanted to exploit us and asked for an exaggerated fare. So, we had to take a microbus –an exhausting journey of two and a half hours! We boarded the microbus – windows open, noise loud and disturbing, the crowding suffocating. I confess I was not happy and was blaming myself inwardly: “Why did I do that? I should have paid for the taxi and rested!” I did not know that Heaven was arranging a divine appointment. We disembarked at Ramses Station, but our Uber car was unexpectantly cancelled. We were wondering “Why are all these delays happening?”
We turned around and found another taxi nearby. I started talking with the driver and opened a conversation with the aim of sharing the Gospel. In the back, three sisters were lifting up fervent, silent prayers throughout the journey. And here the miracle happened! During our conversation, amid Cairo’s crowds and noise, the Holy Spirit touched the heart of this driver. Suddenly, he turned to me with a broken, trembling voice and said: “I am lost!” He began to weep bitterly – the tears of a man weighed down by sin and exhausted by being far from God – and he began to confess his sins with true repentance. When we reached our destination, he stopped the taxi and was in no hurry to leave. And there in his car, he prayed sincerely with tears of repentance and surrendered his life to Christ! Truly, our God seeks sinners in wondrous ways and uses even our weariness and delays to bring about salvation!
Our God opens closed doors!
This great God who arranged the salvation of the driver is the same One who arranged our travel to Egypt to participate in the 14th conference in the city of Hurghada (19th – 23rd March). The challenges were like mountains: repeated flight cancellations and exorbitantly high ticket prices, but the Lord answered prayers and arranged three travel tickets for me, my wife Lina, and sister Agatha.
An abundant harvest at the Hurghada Conference!
We bless the Lord for the abundant spiritual showers He poured out during the conference. Nearly 400 gathered into the tent from about 20 local assemblies. It was an added joy to have our brother Isaiah present from Sudan, and brother Hakim from Algeria. Many endured the hardship of long journeys (7 to 8 hours by bus) from Cairo and from the depths of Upper Egypt. We thank the Lord for His protection over them.
Fruits that gladden the heart and deserve thanksgiving!
The teaching content focused on practical lessons from the life of Elijah the prophet and practical teachings on spiritual growth. We give thanks for:
• New souls won for Christ following the gospel preaching.
• Evident passion for the Word of God.
• The wondrous work of the Holy Spirit: The building manager (a nun) attended all the meetings and was very moved by the Word and the worship.
• Another lady from a liturgical background asked in astonishment about the wondrous harmony between the hymns and the Word without prior arrangement! We told her: “This is the leading of the Holy Spirit!” She was deeply moved.
• We held an exhibition of Emmaus books, and many young people were encouraged to acquire books – a true investment in the minds and hearts of the next generation.
• There was a wonderful time with the 60 youths gathered and many rich discussions.
• Sunday School: About 70 children attended to hear the gospel.

Prayer Requests – We ask that you lift up these requests fervently with us:
• For our region: That the Lord intervenes powerfully in the circumstances of war, calms the storms, and shines the light of His glorious Gospel upon our suffering people.
• Thanksgiving and praise: We thank the Lord with all our hearts that He arranged for us to have the opportunity to participate in the conference at Hurghada and visit the local assemblies.
• For the souls who heard: We pray for every soul that attended the conference. May the Holy Spirit seal the Word in their hearts and may it bear fruit in true salvation.
• For the expansion of the ministry in Egypt: We pray for the growth of the new local assemblies, for the harvest is very plentiful! We remember the labouring brethren and the upcoming conference at the end of July.
• For Sudan and Algeria: That the work of the Lord extends with power and impact in Sudan, despite the fires of war, and for a true revival in Algeria.
• For the refugee ministry in Jordan: We lift up the Bible study groups and discipleship classes, so that the Lord builds leaders for the future.
• For the online ministry and social media: We pray for the dedicated workers, that the Lord uses their labour to reach millions in the Arab world.
• For the publishing ministry: We pray that we complete the required book deposit numbers (100 books) to obtain our own stand at the upcoming Book Fair, to be a platform for spreading the Truth.
• For the persecuted brothers in Yemen: We lift up a heartfelt prayer with tears for our beloved ones who have been imprisoned for their faith. We ask for the Lord’s protection over them, to strengthen their faith, for their swift release, and for the safety of their families.
• For Emmaus courses: We rejoice in the Lord for the graduation of 65 people in Khartoum despite the woes of war! And we pray for the facilitation of printing books there to ensure the continuation of this glorious work.

During last July and August we had three weeks of gospel meetings with the Prestwick Road assembly, Ayr. Brother Alan Lockhart of the Kinross assembly gave valuable help for two of the three weeks in the door-to-door visitation. A few unsaved attended and surrounding assemblies supported well with excellent prayer meetings nightly. One young woman was saved on the last night and has since been baptised.
Following Ayr I joined my son-in-law, Paul Thomas, for a further series of gospel meetings in Cheddar, Somerset using a community hall, which saw a few unsaved men attending regularly.
In September/October Samuel Kyle of the Portavogie assembly joined me in the portable hall in Port William for two weeks, following on from Craig Munro and Alasdair Baijal who preached the first two weeks. During the last week, a young farmer showed great concern about his need of salvation and professed a week or so later. The truth of baptism was mentioned during the meetings, and a believer was convicted of her need to obey the Lord. She has since been baptised and is now in fellowship in the Newton Stewart assembly.
In November, I had a most enjoyable few nights of bible teaching with the assembly in Bandon, Ireland. Then later in November and into December, Gwen and I had our annual visit to Shetland, visiting mornings and afternoons on the west of the island with calendars and tracts and catching up with some of our contacts. This is in fellowship with the Selivoe assembly. Most evenings were given to ministry/gospel in three of the other assemblies.
Part of January and February was occupied in the visitation of the coastal village of Gourdon. During March we had an encouraging few nights of ministry with the Wick assembly in the far North of Scotland, followed by a few nights of ministry with the Fletcher Road assembly, Stoke-on-Trent. Unfortunately, our dear brother Norman Mellish suffered a heart attack while we were staying with him and was hospitalised for a few days.
I am presently in gospel meetings in the village of Dunragit in conjunction with the Glenluce assembly, using the Village Hub. There were five locals in attendance last night.
During June DV, I will be sharing with our brother Tim Coltman in three weeks of tent meetings in fellowship with the Bicester assembly, Oxfordshire. I first preached there 50 years ago. How time flies! (Acts 26 v 22–23)

This week we are back to our full schedule of additional meetings and school visits after the Easter school holidays. The whole of the first term each year in the three secondary schools we visit week by week is spent considering the AUTHORITY, VALUE, AND IMPORTANCE of the WORD OF GOD. We print out visual aids (a new alliterated outline each year) so that all the students can see the points being emphasised each week.
The truth of God is certainly well-received at each school with very positive comments being made at the assemblies frequently by the teachers making their announcements. They regularly endorse the points made, which is most encouraging. Being able to visit these schools each week, with over 1,100 students in each, is truly a marvellous opportunity.
Last year, on two occasions, we were given the opportunity of showing the sets of visual aids used in 2024 and 2025 to all the education officers in the Palapye Department of
Education so that they are aware of the truths being presented to the students. The feedback and response given after the two meetings we had there was most encouraging.
The interest of the young people attending the Children’s Meeting each Friday evening has been maintained for the first three months of the year, with up to 170 attending. Christine and I are very thankful for the help of a sister in the assembly here called Ruth and for Andy’s help giving the young people their points on the registers. Behaviour management is always a challenge, but we are grateful for the weekly opportunity to explain the way of salvation and are encouraged to see a very good number of teenagers attending.
We also recommenced our English Bible Study in our home each Saturday morning, for secondary school students – the only activity in which we are engaged that is all in English. Next Lord’s Day we recommence the Sunday School 3.00–4.00pm and the Bible Class 4.00–5.00pm. We have been pleased to see an increased number of Sunday School children this year, but sadly we have lost three of our teachers who were once fully involved in all the assembly activities, so classes have had to be joined together wherever possible.
Prayer points:
• Please pray for the Sunday School children attending week by week.
• Prayer would be valued for the secondary school students attending the Bible Class.
• We would appreciate your intercessions at the throne of grace that there might be a turning point in the lives of each of the young people who attend the English Bible Study on Saturday mornings.
• Prayer is requested for the large number of young people coming weekly to the Children’s Meeting – please pray that the Spirit of God will work in their lives.
• Please pray for the children at Central Primary School where we take the assembly each Thursday morning.
• Prayer would be valued for the maintenance of our health and strength in the work.

In Três Passos we continue with the usual meetings in Braga and Linha São Paulo as well as the meetings in the gospel hall. In recent years the assembly has become smaller, and we have lost our beloved sister Dona Vone. Her bereaved husband underwent surgery last week and will soon begin another round of chemotherapy. We miss him at the meetings and remember him much in prayer.
Some others are aged and unwell and cannot be present either, but we are thankful to enjoy precious fellowship with the others who continue faithfully. Sr Balduino was saved 27 years ago during the first series of meetings in the gospel hall and has made steady progress over the years. He is an esteemed overseer and a beloved fellow servant in all these efforts.
On Lord’s Day evenings, a fair number of unsaved gather. We would mention for prayer a young woman called Josiane, who has started to attend quite recently and listens well. Her boyfriend, Junior, comes with her sometimes. At Braga, a young man called Tiago, who has been hearing the gospel for the past three years and never misses a meeting, has wept about his soul, but remains unsaved, and we long for his deliverance.
Brother Elton from Sombrio plans to join us for another gospel series, this time in a community hall in a district on the opposite side of town from the hall. We held meetings there some years ago, and since then many new houses have been built. Please pray that we may make new contacts and that we might see God’s hand in salvation at this time.
On 1st May, God willing, the Novo Hamburgo assembly will hold their annual conference. We pray that we might know a rich sense of the presence of God, that all the saints may be edified and encouraged, and that sinners may be saved. It is a special joy for us to go there, as we commenced our service in Brazil in Novo Hamburgo under the loving care of our esteemed brother and sister, Tom and Dorothy Matthews. We have happy memories of those days and it’s always a pleasure to see our dear brethren and sisters of the assemblies of Novo Hamburgo, Sapiranga, Ivoti and São Leopoldo again.

Faith House, Belfast
Faith House Eventide Home was opened as a residential home in 1960 on the outskirts of Belfast. The original objective of the home was to provide comfortable accommodation with a Christian atmosphere for older believers; to care for them and brighten their latter years in a way that would be glorifying to God. This objective has not changed, and the present Trustees and staff seek to retain the original purpose of the Home.
Faith House now cares for a total of 65 residents across the Residential and Nursing Homes. There are also six Apartments on site for those capable of independent living.
Some years back, the Trustees became increasingly aware of the need to invest in Faith House and upgrade the rooms, seeking to provide en-suite rooms where possible. This presented a problem, as like many Homes in the Care Sector, we were finding it difficult to generate sufficient surplus funds to finance the needed investment. We took two actions. One was to make some sensible adjustments to how the Home was managed, without compromising on the quality of care provided. The other was to commend our need to the Lord.
It is with much thankfulness that we can report that through the Lord answering our prayers, expressed in the kindness and generosity of the Lord’s people, we were able to build a new wing and commence a major refurbishment of existing rooms. To date we have taken 27 of the existing rooms and created 20 refurbished rooms all now with ensuite facilities. Just as we were giving thanks, we received further very generous gifts which have enabled us, last year, to build another new wing with six rooms which will be known as the Ebenezer Suite. The first residents are due to move in after Easter 2026.
At the time of writing a further very generous gift has been received and we are planning to commence work this year to refurbish 16 rooms creating 12 rooms all with en-suite.
Faith House
We are also installing solar panels on suitable roofs to mitigate against the rising cost of electricity.
While all this has been ongoing, the devoted staff have ensured that the residents continue to receive loving care and attention. We are indebted to a number of assemblies and brethren who come and enable us to hold meetings for the residents every Tuesday and Sunday. These, together with other activities, help ensure that the spiritual needs of those in the Home are met, and that residents continue to enjoy fellowship and regular ministry.
We do pray for all who reside in and work in Faith House that it will continue to be of blessing to them and their families. This short report only touches on how gracious the Lord has been, and we very much appreciate your prayerful interest in Faith House.
‘Then Samuel took a stone, and set it between Mizpeh and Shen, and called the name of it Ebenezer, saying, Hitherto hath the LORD helped us.’ 1 Samuel 7:12

Your prayers for the following outreach activities would be much appreciated.
The Monday Bible Club has almost 70 children on the roll: please pray for all the families involved. Last Monday we had a full hall for our Parents’ Night and Prizegiving.
The Coffee Morning / Parent and Toddler’s Group is giving us the opportunity to introduce new families to attend our little hall. Through this we have recently met one father who, we believe, has trusted the Saviour. He has been along to our Sunday morning Breaking of Bread meeting and Bible Study.
“The SHED” Teenager’s Outreach meets on the last Saturday of each month –usually around 30 attend. Please pray for these teenagers. Some are young

believers who need encouragement, while others are in need of salvation.
The Men’s and Ladies’ Bible Studies have given local people an opportunity to come along and ask questions about God’s word. It has been encouraging to see their interest.
Sunday Gospel Meetings have been encouraging, with a good number attending who are still unbelievers. It is time-consuming keeping in touch with people, and giving them a personal invitation regularly, but each visit to a home strengthens bridges of friendship and opens opportunities to share the word of God.
Postal Bible School Prizegiving Season came to an end in March. Over the course of seven weeks Gareth and Margaret, and the team, visited 30 venues all over Ireland. We give God thanks for safety in travel and pray that, as the gospel was presented to hundreds who never otherwise hear it, the seed of God’s word will germinate and bear fruit in hearts. There will also be around 16 further venues to visit in September.
Building Project: We are currently developing the site beside the Drum Gospel Hall which was left to us by a sister in the assembly. Please pray for safety on the site, that God will provide all that is necessary to complete the work, and that the new facilities will be used for His glory. We are praying that it will help us to build further bridges with the community and enable the light of testimony to shine a little brighter, till He comes again.
STEP Weekend (Sharing Truth and Encouraging Practice): Postal Bible School run three of these weekends each year. They are specifically for young believers. At our last “STEP” in January around 90 young believers attended. The next weekend is planned for 19th – 21st June. Pray that we will be able to encourage these young believers to fully commit their lives to the Saviour.
Summer Outreach plans are now taking shape. We are planning two Holiday Bible Clubs between June and August; and also Postal Bible School summer camp at Avoca, Co Wicklow in July (last year 120 young people and leaders attended).

ZAMBIA Loloma
Loloma Mission Hospital was established in 1956 in rural Northwestern Province, Zambia with the purpose of communicating by word and deed the Gospel of Jesus Christ to members of the community. In the 70 years since then, through the grace of God, the facility has grown into a well-equipped hospital with 120 inpatient beds as well as a busy outpatient department and various other services. The hospital serves as the only one for the 85,000 people of Manyinga District and receives patients from other districts on a daily basis, as well as occasionally patients from other provinces and even other countries.
from the outreach team preaching in the wards and giving out literature
Despite the growth and many changes since the hospital was established, one thing has remained unchanged and that is the focus on the Lord Jesus Christ and making Him known to every person who enters our facility. We are thankful for a senior management team comprised of committed believers who help maintain this focus. One of the ways that Christ is made known and the gospel shared is through preaching over the PA system every morning and evening. There is also a group of believers that regularly pass through each ward, speaking one-on-one to patients and caregivers and distributing gospel literature.
In 2025 over 4,000 patients were admitted and over 70,000 patients received treatment through the outpatient department. Our medical team is often stretched thin with the many demands of a busy hospital, but we are also thankful to the Lord for the additions He has brought to our team particularly in the past year and a half. The Clinical Care team is comprised of six Medical Officers and four Medical Licentiates; a significant increase from only two Medical Officers in 2020.
The past few years Loloma has started hosting biannual Orthopaedic programs in Caregivers receiving literature

conjunction with FlySpec (an African NGO). These visits take much planning and organisation but are also such a blessing. It is thrilling to be able to bring this service closer to the people (as opposed to a 3-hour journey to another hospital). It also brings in many people from far and near providing an excellent opportunity to share the gospel. The most recent Orthopaedic visit saw patients travel for hundreds of kilometres to be seen.
The hospital has been gaining reputation as a teaching facility with many nursing, midwifery and other students passing through every year. Currently there is a group of 29 nursing students here for an eight-week clinical placement. It is a privilege to be able to share the gospel with each of these young ones and hopefully impact a future generation of health care workers.
• Please pray for the hospital management team that they will lead well with wisdom, grace and unity. Also, that they will continue to keep the focus of the work on the furtherance of the gospel and showing forth the love of Christ.
• Please pray that those who come to our facility will receive not only physical help but also spiritual help and ultimately eternal life.
• Please pray that each student who spends time in our hospital will be impacted for eternity.

We are thankful to the Lord that the work in the schools continues steadily another year. Lessons are presently delivered to 16 schools in the Belfast and Lisburn areas, with up to 4,000 pupils doing the lessons as part of their RE curriculum. Not every teacher or pupil in a school will embrace the lessons enthusiastically, but the wise preacher exhorted “in the morning, sow thy seed and in the evening withhold not thine hand; for thou knowest not whether shall prosper, either this or that, or whether they both shall be alike good” (Eccl 11:6).
Belfast Postal Bible School
The Bibletime lessons open the Bible to those for whom it would otherwise be a closed book. The seed is sown and we look to God for increase.
This year again, we have had the privilege of working with brother Paul Kissick to take his Bible Exhibition into several of the Belfast schools. There has also been an increased demand to take school assemblies, and we appreciate the support of a number of brethren who help in this work. We may have just 15 minutes to tell a Bible story and give a short Gospel application, but with an audience of anywhere between 100 and 300 precious souls that need salvation, only eternity will reveal the true value of these opportunities in time. In February we were starkly reminded that these are passing opportunities, when a young pupil died in a tragic accident just the week after we had taken the assembly in their school. Pray that the Word of God sown in these young hearts will bear fruit in the salvation of many of these children while they are young.
Please also pray that those involved in the present review of the RE curriculum in Northern Ireland will be guided by God and that any changes will be for the furtherance of the Gospel. For some children, school is the only place they hear the scriptures taught and many parents want Bible-based spiritual teaching to continue. Some may be only concerned about the strong moral guidance that the Bible gives for this life, but the potential blessing for the children of Northern Ireland, as the good seed is sown, is life eternal. Pray that “the Word of the Lord may have free course and be glorified” (2 Thess 3:1).

WALES
Carmarthen
Life has moved fairly quickly over the last few months – I married Betti Dyck from Mitchell, MB, in summer 2025, and our first child is due anytime now. On April 5th 2026, we were commended to the grace of God for the work that He has called us to. Our home assembly in Carmarthen has been very supportive, and we value their endorsement. As per Acts 13, the internal call of the Spirit was verified by the assembly. After the breaking of bread on the aforementioned date, the Scripture was read, prayer was made, and we were released to the work. The words of the closing hymn were and are fitting – “We rest on Thee, our Shield and our Defender”. We praise the Lord for His goodness and look forward to serving the best of Masters.
Not a few saints have encouraged us in our step of faith, and the support of the body has been appreciated. My employer requires three months’ notice, meaning my last day in work is the 5th of June. I visited my boss’s house to resign and simply explained that I would be preaching the gospel full time, because where people spend eternity is the most important issue in life. I’ve given him a Bible in the past, when he was diagnosed with a form of MS, and he isn’t closed to the gospel. Please pray for Jason Wood.
My exercise is to preach the Word (2 Tim 4:2) and continue in the service I have been involved in to date. This has mainly consisted of ministry in the winter, and gospel work in the summer. It was a privilege to have fellowship around the Word of God in ministry with various assemblies over the winter.
We have also continued our regular open-air work in west Wales each Friday in Carmarthen. The saints in Carmarthen have been very supportive of this. Openairs are a regular feature of assembly life across south Wales. Please pray that there will be a period of reaping.
We have also continued to visit areas with no testimony across southwest Wales. Robert Davies and I have had open-airs in towns in Pembrokeshire, and we were recently in Aberystwyth for open-air work. We had an interesting conversation with two young men that are training to be Catholic priests.
This summer in the will of the Lord, we plan to take the gospel trailer to rural areas with no assembly testimony, and erect gospel tents in larger towns. There is also a planned outreach on the Island of Guernsey in conjunction with Andy Mullan, Cameron Piper and a few young men from the south of England. Please pray for the seed that will be sown.
Update from the Publisher: We rejoice that a baby girl was born to Huw and Betti on the 2nd of May and we pray for her salvation early in life.

SCOTLAND Perth
Things have been busy recently and there have been many opportunities to communicate the Gospel.
I’m encouraged by how widely the little “Exploring Christianity” booklet I wrote last year has been used over the past year, with over 120,000 copies now printed in a few different languages. I never imagined it would be used this widely!
At the beginning of March I was through in St Andrews for a few days outreach, working alongside Iain Jamieson. We were encouraged by the interest. Many Bibles and copies of John’s Gospel were taken, we had numerous good spiritual conversations with passers-by, and there were a few students along to the evening Gospel talks.
Since returning from there I have had a short series of three Friday evening meetings in a local community centre here in Perth – the first time we’ve used this venue. Numbers weren’t large, but a few unbelievers were present each evening, some of whom had never been to a Gospel meeting before.
Over the Easter weekend we held a ladies’ craft evening, kids’ craft morning, special Easter Sunday School with parents and an Easter community lunch and were encouraged by good attendances at each. In May I am hoping to visit four local villages for oneoff Gospel meetings. I did something similar last year, visiting six villages, and we were encouraged that over 50 different people attended. We would appreciate your prayers.
Our twice weekly soup kitchens bring a steady flow of people under the sound of the Gospel. Last week we had over 60 people along over the two nights. Marc, who was first contacted through the soup kitchen was baptised at the end of last year and was received into fellowship a couple of weeks ago, which was a great encouragement.
On a sadder note, earlier in March I attended the funeral of a man in his mid-30s who had been a regular attendee at our football outreach over the years. He died unexpectedly, which was a great shock to us. I feel like I’ve attended a lot of funerals recently of people we’ve had contact with over the years – a stark reminder of the urgency of the work.

‘For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ’ Eph 4:12-13.
“Edifying of the body” and “Till…the fulness of Christ” were the two main themes that came out at the Easter Conference we participated in in Trøndelag, Mid Norway. It was so refreshing to focus on the risen Saviour, and to be available and engaged in building up the saints until He comes again.
We drove past Route 666, and through the town of Hell on our way up to Trøndelag – reminders of the fate of the unsaved. In the days before, and even during the Bible conference, James did not sleep most nights – there were many battles in prayer. He felt burdened to study 1 Timothy and ended up speaking through the basic principles of gathering in the Lord’s Name. The study in 1 Timothy proved most relevant to several individuals who were full of questions. Pray for hearts to be open to the simplicity of Scripture, and the will to obey all the Lord has shown them and us.
We both had many “divine appointments” – important spiritual conversations with many individuals throughout the week. Hans and Ruth are a lovely couple and are more likeminded than most we have met in Norway so far. They are extremely hospitable and have some of the best raised children we have come across. They would appreciate prayer for their oldest son, who is trying his best to rebel but seems miserable going against his own conscience.
We also met two kind brothers – St.Vincent/German/Canadian/Swedish men endeavouring to be faithful witnesses in Stockholm, Sweden. The time was refreshing and a huge answer to prayer in that our children spent time with other believers who could encourage them in their walks with the Lord. Please pray for us to not forget our children with the demands of ministry coming in from all sides. Please pray for wisdom with the influence of the world coming into our home with all the neighbour children.
We have just received a wonderful piece of news from Trøndelag: a lady named Monica has been searching and has found the Lord! Hans and Ruth are seeking to answer her many questions. Her son (a well-known song artist) has also ended a relationship with another man after reading Scripture. Please pray for his salvation, and for wisdom for Ruth especially as she pours God’s Word into a thirsty soul. Praise God that it is still possible for a person to be saved – even in Norway!
We just got new neighbours, so please pray for openness for the gospel and wisdom in communicating it. Mika made a friend also called Mika; we had him and his father over for dinner. Please pray for wisdom as we seek to encourage believers from different backgrounds and convictions, staying within God’s leading regarding what we say and how much time we spend with them.
There was a big fire in Ålesund; no one was killed or injured, but it gave opportunity to share the gospel and show practical Christ-like love to those evacuated. The city burned to the ground in 1904, so a fire like this hits close to home. Please pray for the fire to awaken people in Ålesund to the realities of eternity with or without God.

N. IRELAND / IRELAND
I want to encourage you to pray that the Lord will prepare hearts for gospel efforts across the island, where His Word will be spread in upcoming series of meetings. It is a delight to see God’s hand working with souls in advance of tracts or invitations being distributed, or gospel meetings commencing. Some folk, when presented with literature, have told us of how it was an answer to sincere prayer on their part, that God would show them the truth. With this in mind, we ask you to pray for efforts that are ongoing and future. Pray not only that hearts will be prepared, but that the Lord’s servants will be guided.
I think of one lady who attended a gospel meeting held near Cork. She had ordered herself a Bible online, and asked God to show her the truth. When she received an invitation, she felt it was an answer to her prayer (the third such person at those meetings). We had never met her before and thought that because she had a Bible with her, she was acquainted with it. However, during the meeting when David McAlister announced where he was going to read, she asked for my help in locating the place, explaining “I haven’t read that far yet…”
Often, we do not know or hear about the harvest until well after efforts are concluded, just like we can never tell what any particular field will produce. “In the morning sow thy seed, in the evening withhold not thine hand, for thou knowest not…” Ecclesiastes 11:6. We do need to be careful of how we present the results of any effort in the Gospel. Only the Lord knows what has been done for Him.
I received an email at Easter from a dear lady in Donegal. She told us that the same day that she prayed for God to show her the truth, she received a tract through her door (July 2023). She tells us that she was saved that very day. It was two and a half years until we heard. ‘Thou knowest not…’ but God does. She has been receiving and listening to recordings of ministry. Pray for her. God is sending the gospel to those who are searching. Let us keep praying that He will ‘send forth labourers into His harvest’ and may God help us all to be just that, ‘labourers’ rather than just ‘observers’.
Brother Jonathan Black and I commenced a series of gospel meetings yesterday in Madden Old Schoolhouse in fellowship with Drumacanver assembly. It is a suitable, neutral venue and we have been praying that the Lord will prepare hearts, so that they might see further blessing in the area. Do remember also gospel meetings planned for Quilly (outside Coleraine) commencing on the 14th of June with brother Willie Fenton. This is beside a farmyard, where other brethren have had meetings over the last couple of years, which locals attended well.
Also remember planned summer gospel series and tract distributions in ROI in the will of God. In July gospel meetings are planned for Nenagh Arts Centre, Co Tipperary, The Maldron Hotel, Portlaoise, and then a centre in Mountrath. In August there is a series of meetings planned for a centre in Carrigaline, south of Cork City. During these summer efforts we are thankful for help with invitation distribution, and indeed help with the preaching, and ask that you pray again, not only for hearts of the people in these areas to be prepared of the Lord, but that we who help in any way might have prepared hearts also, that the blessing of the Lord might be known. God is able. Let us be like Samuel, who “cried unto the Lord… and the Lord heard him” 1 Samuel 7:9.

VENEZUELA
Our activities in the Lord’s work at present are mainly to maintain, together with the help of my brother David Perez, the children’s work in different areas in the city and places close by, as well as the preaching of the gospel in each of these places after having the class. Sowing the seed in tender hearts and waiting for results requires much patience, but we believe the Lord will fulfil His promise, “My word that goeth forth out of my mouth, it shall not return unto me void.” This has been proved so many times.
San Carlos
We are grateful that already this year several trips have been made by boat to indigenous communities where we have found people willing to hear the gospel and so many children with absolutely no knowledge of the scriptures who are now learning very basic truths which may lead them to the Saviour. We value very much your prayers that we may be able to make more progress in this work and reach many other places in Delta Amacuro where there are small communities along the river, some which are very far away and to get there would require many hours by boat. The dangers are always present, as it is not a secret that these routes are used by drug traffickers and there have been fatal confrontations recently.
The believers here are always willing and desirous to go to ministry meetings which are held amongst the assemblies every two months here in southeastern Venezuela. Last Saturday we took our bus to the assembly in San Felix (3 hours away) and 29 were able to go including 3 or 4 unsaved. This way they are able to hear ministry from other of the Lord’s servants.
In a couple of weeks we purpose to take a few to the conference in Los Altos, where Mr. Noel McKeown labours. For us it’s a journey of 7 hours. We are thankful that the situation in the country is maybe a bit more stable and journeys like this are still possible.
Please continue to remember Venezuela in your prayers, that the gospel may continue to be spread, but that also the assemblies may be preserved. We fear that if materially the country might begin to get out of its crisis, the interest of people in the things of God will decrease and the hearts of the Lord’s people may get lukewarm and the condition of Laodicea (seen already in the world) will begin to prevail.

We would appreciate prayer for the children of the Christians in the assembly at Arame. We mention specifically Sara and her sister Isabele both in their teens. They are the oldest of five siblings, the other three being João Marcos (10), Emily (3) and Estevão (2). We would also mention Lorena (19) and Geovana (23). Brought up under the sound of the Gospel, they attend most meetings and they profess to be saved, but there is no visible fruit which causes worry and sadness to the parents.
We also mention Jonathan, the husband of a dear sister. He says he is saved but there is no visible fruit. They have two children, Enzo (10) and Melissa (7), that attend regularly with the mother. She has asked us to help her in prayer that she may be granted wisdom in dealing with the situation and that she may see her husband also invested in serving the Lord. There are many brothers and sisters with unsaved spouses in the assembly. There are eight sisters and five brethren in this situation, and this causes many difficulties. Pray they may have wisdom in dealing with the difficulties that arise and that they may not get discouraged.
Every Monday evening, we send out a Gospel message of around 30 minutes using WhatsApp. These are sent to some local contacts, but especially to some living further away in other states of Brazil, Portugal and even some Brazilians living in Ireland. We would appreciate prayer for this effort, that souls that have no other contact with the Gospel may be reached and saved.
We would appreciate prayer for the distribution of tracts in the towns of Lagoa Dourada and São João del Rei. We long to get an open door in these towns and to start gospel meetings in the hope of seeing an assembly formed there in the near future. The fortnightly gospel meetings in Diamante continue and we hope to get a hall there to be able to have a permanent meeting place there.
We have just arrived in N. Ireland for a visit and will be here until mid-August. Pray for the assembly in Arame, that they may be preserved from the attacks of the enemy and persevere in the doctrine of the apostles.
