Morning All...
Welcome to the first edition of the official Templeton Times.
For those of you who have followed & supported Templeton through its first 18 years in business, you will have seen my marketing & advertising ideas rise & fall following the trends of the moment.
I hope this magazine will withstand the test of time and evolve to become a valuable medium giving every reader an insight as to what makes the world of Templeton Tick (& Tok) and how we can enhance your businesses.
As this is my first ‘Introduction’, I thought it appt to sum up what Templeton is all about.
We deliver everything you pour over your bar / counter to every city, town & village across West Wales seven days of the week.
Our top two eye rolling questions are “I didn’t know you delivered on Sundays” and “I didn’t know you sold wine”.
We are official wholesale partners with most major National & International drinks brand owners.
This means we can give you access to all the associated support, investment, technical services and point of sale material to accompany their products with the added value of 24 hour ordering, 7 days a week deliveries & no minimum spend.
We are a member of the ‘Independent Wine Buyers Consortium’ an eclectic bunch of eleven large & small Wine Merchants from across the UK.
We collectively buy & import wine direct from producers across the globe.
With no middleman costs our wines punch way above their weight allowing you to put a £6 bottle of wine halfway down your list and you make the increased margin it deserves.
You can place your orders overnight via App, WhatsApp or Answerphone and if you fancy a chat you can call Kathy & Kara during daylight hours.
With today’s fandangled technology, a voice mail saying “Evening, Dog & Duck here… two cases of Riviera Sauvignon Blanc for tomorrow please… thank you” is a 6 second ordering process.
Please make sure you have good signal & tell us where you’re calling from.
Sam, Jamie & Gareth our logistics team leaders process, pick & despatch your orders every day from 05:00 and love the mid-day call from the girls asking has the Aberystwyth lorry left yet?
So without further ado… Welcome to Templeton… The Uber / Amazon delivery service to the West Wales Hospitality Trade. Cheers
Brian Scarfe

NOTICE BOARD PEMBROKESHIRE
Pembrokeshire's Pub of the Year 2025 is the Fynnone Arms, Newchapel. Branch Chair Mrs Alwen Thomas presented landlady Hedydd Phillips with the award at a ceremony in early May.
Last year's winner, the Cresselly Arms, Cresswell Quay, went on to win Wales CAMRA Pub of the Year. However, under Pembrokeshire Branch rules, no pub may win the same award two years in a row, to give other good pubs a chance.
This year's runner up was the Farmers' Arms, St. David's, the westernmost pub in Wales.
BAE CEREDIGION
Members of the Bae Ceredigion branch of CAMRA have chosen the Rhos yr Hafod in Cross Inn, Llanon as the winner of their pub of the year and cider pub of the year awards. This family-run freehouse has several drinking areas including a lively front bar, a quieter back bar to relax in, a function room, a large rear garden and a sunny front terrace.
The choice of cask ale is constantly changing and the two hand pumps usually offer beer from Welsh breweries, alongside at least two bag-in-box ciders and a range of bottled real cider.
CARMARTHENSHIRE
Carmarthenshire's Pub of the Year for 2025/6 the Cresselly Arms in Pontargothi. Perched on the banks of the River Cothi, the recently revived pub continues to grow, serving quality cask conditioned ale predominantly from local brewers.
Our outgoing selection the Stag and Pheasant in Carmarthen continues to offer the same beer attractions. As ale continues to grow in popularity and form and if you are new to Welsh ales, a visit to Beerpark in Llanelli provides a great opportunity to taste an array of Welsh and world beers in can and bottle form.

BB Skone's
PICK OF THE POPS
Hello, I am BB Skone. I’ve been promoting, and broadcasting and writing about, music in Pembrokeshire for over 35 years. I’m currently working on programming the music for Narberth Food Festival, Tenby Blues Festival, and the Old Point House Summer Festival.
My Pembrokeshire Music Show is broadcast at 7pm every Sunday on Pure West Radio. I play local music, keep you up to date with the local music news, and deliver a weekly Gig Guide (also available online).
It never ceases to amaze me the depth and breadth of music on offer in our beautiful part of the world, magical music of all genres, for all ages; it enriches the cultural and economic life of the Shire.
What I intend doing in each issue of this great magazine is to give readers a taste of this wonderful musical menu. If those that are featured do not suit, well there’s more to come, just contact me on studio@purewestradio.com for more info.
