A very warm welcome to our special ‘Euros’ edition of Headlines, your bi-monthly brochure packed full of brilliant seasonal deals and advice to help you drive sales and profits this summer. The domestic football season reaches its exciting climax in May! But there are also hugely important cup games in the European competitions to look forward to as well. Prepare for higher footfall as customers savour all the dramatic action on the big screen.

forward to with the final on July 14th.

Everyone looks forward to spending happy times outside at this time of year! The outdoor spaces come into their own in these warmer months of Spring, so give them a spruce up in good time to attract families and larger groups, providing the comfort and relaxation that will keep them with you for long afternoons stretching into pleasurable evenings.

As well as the football, there is a summer of sport to plan for. Royal Ascot from 18th – 22nd June, the Betfred Derby on 1st June, the French Open tennis from

20th May – 9th June and the U.S Open golf starting on 13th June - the list goes on! There really is something for everyone once Spring comes.

Finally, make plans for Father’s Day on 16th June, a date in the diary that grows in popularity each year. Make sure you have your deals and offers ready for when Dad and the family come to enjoy themselves. It’s the perfect opportunity to bounce back and take advantage of our super promotions on soft drinks, spirits, ciders, cask ales and bottled beers.

Make the most of Father’s Day with careful planning & strong deals to boost trade:

Advertise well in advance online and with posters both inside and outside your venue.

Run a social media competition to help spread the word – offer the winner a free meal or a FREE PINT for their Dad on Father’s Day.

Encourage reservations and take pre-orders for large groups to help minimise wait times for guests and to plan staff and stock levels.

SUNDAY ROASTS and STEAKS are classic favourites for Dads.

Offer a deal such as a FREE PINT or DESSERT for dads, or a FREE BOTTLE OF WINE with a meal.

Promote your beer offer and run a GUEST ALE for the weekend. You could even host a BEER TASTING EVENT – why not link up with a local brewery?

Have outdoor games or activity packs ready to entertain the kids. If they are happy the whole family will stay longer!

Beer Day Britain, a.k.a. National Beer Day, is celebrated on June 15th to mark the signing of the Magna Carta. Britain really is the birthplace of some of the most iconic kinds of beers, lagers, stouts, pale ales, porters, and ciders in the world. Promote your beers all weekend – all Dads love a beer !

An outdoor sports bar area can make for a unique and memorable experience for your customers. Who doesn’t like the idea of sitting outside, enjoying their favourite chilled beer or cider, while watching the big summertime matches with friends?

Ideal to handle a little rain as well as the sun.

Give your TVs some shade and cover. Even if you get weather-resistant TVs, giving your TVs some shade and cover isn’t a bad idea. It’ll help the TVs from overheating, plus it’ll be easier for customers to watch the matches.

DON’T FORGET ABOUT LIGHTS

You’ll have sunlight during the day and your TVs will give off some ambient lighting at night, but you’ll probably still want some outdoor lighting.
