There Is a Place for You at Lord of Life by Pastor Karen Geisendorfer-Lindgren You are so very important! You are valued and loved. And no matter who you are or where you are on your faith journey, there is a place for you at Lord of Life. This fall offers more occasions than ever before to worship, to learn, to serve and to build relationships with others. There is a place for you to worship For those who like to worship in the evening, there is a 5:30 service every Saturday night. For those who prefer Sunday morning, we have three services: 8:30, 9:45 and 11. We are also adding a short, devotional worship experience called “Ecclesia” on Sundays at 7 pm and repeated on Wednesdays at 5:45 pm. All who are in the building for C3, L5 or any other activities are welcome to be a part of Ecclesia! There is a place for you to learn Our new effort for adults – L5: Life Long Learning at Lord of Life –
provides a wide array of opportunities to grow personally and spiritually. For those who are new or a bit apprehensive about Bible study, try “Discovering the Bible, Conquering the Fear.” For those who want to dig deeper into the Bible, there is an in-depth class on the prophet Isaiah. Want to learn more about communicating with God? Sign up for “Prayer School.” We have classes that help us understand the teachings of the Mormon Church, classes that focus on parenting teens, and classes that help us become all God created us to be (“Exercise Daily. . . Walk with the Lord” and “Wiser Women – God’s Power in the Midlife Experience”). And then there is Alpha – the 10-week course that addresses foundational questions about the meaning of life. Of course, for our young people, Church School and confirmation
(C3) are at the root of our learning experiences. But also new this year are Explore for jr. high young people and Express for sr. high young people, both on Sunday nights from 7:30 to 8:30 pm. In addition, we’re adding an all-new jr. and sr. high Sunday morning Bible study in The Gathering at both 9:45 and 11 am. There is a place for you to serve Whether you feel called to serve within or outside of the church building, there is a place for you at Lord of Life. You can serve God by joining a worship team (includes ushering and reading), being a C3 leader or helping with donuts on Sundays. Or you can serve God by preparing a meal at Hope Lodge for those going through cancer treatments or spending time with elderly residents at the Ambassador Good Samaritan in New Hope. Pack food for Feed My Starving Children or go on a mission trip. Whether you

Our family is excited to start the new Church School year at Lord of Life. Not only for the kids, but for Wendy and me too with the new L5 program. It was so cool to receive the August LifeTIMES with all the options for learning and fellowship with other adults. We both looked over the schedule and highlighted the different courses we found interesting. Now, we just need to
figure out which ones fit into our schedule. Lord of Life has made this pretty easy as the entire year is available for us to review and pick the courses that work for our family. This is a big thing for a family of six, being able to have all of those options. We are all looking forward to going back to school this fall at Lord of Life.
