GRAPEVINE LORDCONEWS
HOT DEALS TO CARRY YOU INTO FALL
The long summer days might be fading, but there’s plenty to keep customers excited this fall. Our RV Clearance and Lighting Clearance Flyers are packed with great finds—perfect for those last camping trips and the darker evenings ahead. We’ve also just launched the Castrol Edge and Milwaukee Flyers, giving customers trusted performance, whether they’re under the hood or on the job. These deals are only here until November 1st, so it’s a great time to point customers their way. And remember, Lordco. com has more than 200,000 parts and products, so whatever customers are looking for, chances are we’ve got it.

This event season, Lordco showed up big—sponsoring over 100 events across BC and Alberta! From car shows to pop-up shops and races, it was all about connecting with communities and sharing our love of cars. The swag table was a hit too—thousands of pens, stickers, lanyards, hats, and even t-shirts and footballs found new homes this summer. A huge thank-you goes out to everyone who pitched in. Your strong arms, smiling faces, and positive energy made it all possible. Want Lordco at your local car show? Submit your application through the Event Sponsorship page at Lordco.com.

SEPTEMBER AWARENESS

GLOBAL
September 10th is World Suicide Prevention Day (WSPD)! This day is a chance for everyone to join us in raising awareness about suicide prevention. WSPD is an event focused on communicating to everyone that suicide can be prevented with the right tools and support. WSPD is all about recognizing those impacted by a suicide attempt or loss, including individuals, family and friends, charitable organizations, medical professionals, volunteers, and community members.
World Suicide Prevention Day 2025
The theme for World Suicide Prevention Day 2025 is “Changing the Narrative on Suicide”. The aim of the theme is to raise awareness about the importance of changing the narrative surrounding suicide and transforming how we perceive this complex issue. Changing the narrative requires systemic change. It’s about shifting from a culture of silence and stigma to one of openness, understanding, and support.
What Factors May Cause Suicide and How Can We Prevent It?
Associated risk factors for suicide include job or financial loss, trauma or abuse, mental and substance use disorders, and barriers to accessing health care, which have been further amplified since the COVID-19 pandemic. Around 50% of Canadians stated that their mental health had worsened since the start of the pandemic in 2020, which is a number that can’t be ignored.
If you or someone you know is experiencing thoughts of suicide, call 988 for an emergency helpline, consult with a doctor, use our EFAP resources, and try to begin this prevention plan to keep yourself and others safe.
Early Prevention
• Early prevention looks toward preventing the emergence of risk factors for suicide. This includes providing socioeconomic and cultural conditions for life promotion, mental wellness and well-being in a population.
Primary Prevention
• Early detection and intervention for potential onset of a mental disorder, as well as support for losses including employment, housing, and bereavement.
Secondary Prevention
• Early detection of suicide thoughts and non-suicidal self-injury and development of a safety plan.
• Early intervention of psychological therapies for those experiencing suicide thoughts or engage in nonsuicidal self-injury.
While none of us can take on these preventative measures alone, try to give yourself and your loved ones the help they need by directing them to the right resources and support teams by visiting the Canadian Association for Suicide Prevention at suicideprevention.ca.
This September 10th, use World Suicide Prevention Day as an opportunity to engage in dialogue with compassion and curiosity. Discuss the impact of suicide with others and try to promote understanding and connection.

Matt Remillard - Machine Shop #1
had the absolute best experience with Matt at the machine shop at Lordco. I came in needing a wheel stud for my wheel spacer, and this guy went above and beyond to help me. He literally spent over two hours working with me to track down exactly what I needed, making sure I left with the right part. You don’t often come across people willing to put in that kind of time and effort just to make sure a customer is taken care of, but Matt did it without hesitation. His knowledge, patience, and dedication are on another level, and I left beyond impressed with his customer service. If you ever need help, Matt is 100% the guy you want in your corner. Huge thanks to him for going the extra mile—Lordco is lucky to have someone like him.

Matt Lodge- Kelowna #34
I went to Lordco to get a replacement part for my windshield washer nozzle. Matt, a gentleman who helped me went above and beyond. When the part didnt fit correctly he took the time to actually come to my vehicle to take a look and in no time he replaced all three parts.
Thank you Matt.

Ethan Statham - Merritt #54
Five stars to Ethan for his help, his recommendation of engine oil, and even assisting me in checking how much I needed to add to my engine and one more check with the dipstick. Thank you for your friendliness. If I’m ever passing through Merritt, I’ll definitely stop by again just to say hi.
