VEHICLE SHOWCASE
RACING SEASON 24/25

The iconic drifting culture seen in Initial D and other racing media traces back to one man: Keiichi Tsuchiya, the "Drift King." Tsuchiya popularized drifting—intentionally oversteering to slide through corners—through his early exploits on Japan’s touge roads. His style inspired Initial D, the Fast & Furious franchise, and countless racing films and games. His 1995 video Drift Bible became a go-to guide for aspiring drifters, and his cameo as a fisherman in Tokyo Drift was a nod to his influence. So, next time you watch a drifting scene, remember – it all began with the Drift King!

HYPERTENSION AWARENESS MONTH
What is Hypertension?
Hypertension is the force of blood being pumped from your heart into your blood vessels. This force makes blood flow possible, delivering nutrients and oxygen to organs and tissues throughout the body. Blood pressure is measured using two numbers. The first number, called systolic blood pressure, measures the pressure in your arteries when your heart beats. The second number, called diastolic blood pressure, measures the pressure in your arteries when your heart is resting between beats. A healthy blood pressure is around 120 systolic and 80 diastolic, or 120 over 80.
Blood pressure usually rises and falls throughout the day, depending on your activity level. For instance, it increases when you exercise and decreases when you sleep. High blood pressure occurs when there is too much pressure in your blood vessels for a prolonged period, resulting in hypertension.
What Can You Do to Prevent High Blood Pressure?
To keep your blood pressure in a healthy range, try to get at least 150 minutes of physical activity each week, eat a healthy balanced diet, limit sodium and alcohol, and manage stress. Exercise can be one of the most important factors in maintaining blood pressure. When your heart is conditioned to natural stressors such as exercise, it is more resilient to everyday stressors. Physical activity also helps to maintain a healthy weight, lowering your risk of high blood pressure. If you’re looking for support and inspiration to increase your physical activity, join us on our new wellness platform on Lordco Connect and take part in the Get Your Heart Rate Up community. This community will be sharing workout tips, tricks, and routines to get your heart pumping!
How Do You Know if You Have High Blood Pressure?
High blood pressure has no signs or symptoms, so it is important to measure your blood pressure often. Many pharmacies have blood pressure testing stations so that you can test yourself. Additionally, many people find it helpful to keep a log to track their blood pressure and develop a baseline so that any changes can be caught early. High blood pressure is any measurement higher than 130 over 80, so if you notice your blood pressure increasing throughout your logs, be sure to contact your doctor.
What Can You Do to Manage High Blood Pressure?
To keep high blood pressure under control, work closely with your healthcare team. They will inform you of steps to lower your blood pressure such as diet and exercise changes, or medication if needed. Log on to Lordco Connect or email HR@Lordco.com to view your health benefits and take charge of your health and well-being!
Kudos
Jayden Hockley - Victoria #37
Jayden is amazing at her job, she goes beyond and above to help you out. Even if it’s a nightmare to find the right part, she worked her butt off to find the right one and we appreciate heavily. So if you need a part, I 100% recommend going to Jadon for it. Always lovely and very helpful.
Emerson Schack
Robert Frizzell - Sechelt #56
Bob was super helpful and incredibly generous for helping us with our car troubles. Thanks bob!
Breanna Walker
Raymond Sebastian - Kelowna #34
Ray went so above and beyond to help me, I came in looking for double-sided tape (not knowing anything) to reattach the trim on my car door, but instead of simply handing me the tape, he took the time to ask questions and offered to take a look at the door himself. Rather than a temporary (and probably horrible) fix done by me, he went out of his way to find the proper clips for my car and reattached it himself. His kindness not only really made my day but also saved me money.overall customer experience to the next level. (something was lagging - may be he could have given more attention…)
As for the store itselfx, it’s huge! You can find almost everything in one place. I’m not an expert in price comparison, but the way everything is displayed makes it easy and convenient to shop. Overall, it was a great visit.

Mark Stocker - Port Coquitlam #6
Hello. My name is Scott Wallace and I recently had the pleasure of dealing with Mark Stocker, first on the phone and then in person. I was looking to buy an air compressor to inflate my trailer tires/car tires and Mark spent all the time needed with me on the phone to go over the various options available. I eventually settled on the Dewalt portable compressor which I again dealt with Mark for when I went up to order and pay for it in person. Mark also helped me get the friends and family discount as I am good friends with Liam Klassen from your head office (and previously the same store). I just wanted to say thank you to Mark for the great service and to ensure that hopefully this is seen by his supervisor.

Kaleb Good - Osoyoos #77
I purchased a battery while on vacation in Osoyoos last summer. I needed to return it in the lower mainland locally on warranty. Kaleb at Lordco in Osoyoos was extremely helpful in completing the process.
Ken Mattice
Veron sighn - Vancouver #33
Was searching for an AGM battery for my car and visited a few places, including Lordco Auto Parts and several other branches, but none had stock. eventually i called the Lordco hotline to check availability, and my call was answered by a gentleman named Ron. He was quick to check and confirm the battery was in stock, and I let him know I’d come by in the afternoon to pick it up. True to his word, the battery was ready for collection when I arrived, big thanks to Ron for the prompt service.
The cashier was also very helpful and supportive. She clearly explained the warranty claim process and explained the importance of keeping the original receipt, which I appreciated.
From a customer service perspective, Ron did his part well. That said, a slight improvement in soft skills could take the overall customer experience to the next level. (something was lagging - may be he could have given more attention…)
As for the store itselfx, it’s huge! You can find almost everything in one place. I’m not an expert in price comparison, but the way everything is displayed makes it easy and convenient to shop. Overall, it was a great visit.

STARS OF SAFETY
MAY RECOGNITION
A DAY OF MOURNING AND COMMITMENT TO SAFETY
On April 28, Lordco participated in observing the Day of Mourning, a solemn occasion dedicated to remembering those who have lost their lives due to workplace injuries and illnesses. Across Canada, this day serves as a reminder of the importance of health and safety in the workplace. In British Columbia, 146 workers, and in Alberta, 203 sadly lost their lives last year due to workplace injuries and illnesses.
Communities, families, employers, and workers unite in grief and reflection. At Lordco, we stand in solidarity with these workers and their families, reaffirming our commitment to creating a safer work environment for all. Today, we renew our shared responsibility to protect the health, safety, and well-being of every employee in our workplace.
Let this Day of Mourning remind us of the critical importance of workplace safety. Together, let’s commit to ensuring every employee returns home safely at the end of each day.
