Friends of theLorain CoUnty Metro parks Volunteer Update

The park district is looking for volunteers! Anyone interested in volunteering with the parks is required to become a member of the Friends of the Lorain County Metro Parks. Volunteering is open to those 16 and older, individuals under 18 require a partnering adult. To begin the process, it is necessary to complete an orientation (information below).

Also, the Lorain County Metro Parks requires all volunteers to complete a background check/ fingerprinting and in some instances additional training with park staff. Please bring a driver’s license to your orientation to complete a fingerprinting/background check with an LCMP Ranger. All fees associated with the background check are covered by the park district. nExt VoLuntEER oRiEntation Tue., July 13 | 10 am & 7 pm Carlisle Visitor Center Pre-registration is required and can be completed online through the program registration page.
