Tuck Everlasting
Cinderella goes to the festival, and marries the prince. Jack climbs the beanstalk, and steals the giant’s gold. The Baker and his wife are bestowed with a child...then what? In this imaginative and beguiling takeoff of familiar fairy tales, the real story begins once wishes have been granted, and the characters learn to live with their “happily ever after.”
The woods of Treegap, New Hampshire beckon eleven-yearold Winnie Foster to escape her humdrum, small town life. Once within, she discovers a spring with a powerful secret, and a boy with a mysterious past. Pursued by a strange man in yellow, she learns the truth about the connection between the boy’s family and the water, and is forced to make a decision with everlasting consequences.

CAST Ian Atwood (The Baker) is a native of the St. Louis area, moving to Cleveland after receiving his BFA in Musical Theatre from Ohio Northern University. Ian has had the pleasure of working at many professional and educational theatres in the area. Some favorite roles include Horton (Seussical), Robert (Company), Max Bialystock (Producers), Carl Magnus (A Little Night Music), and Caractacus Potts (Chitty Chitty Bang Bang). Thrilled to be back, French Creek credits include The Duke (Big River), Adam/Noah (Children of Eden), and Oliver Warbucks (Annie). Huge thanks to Anthony, Jeff, and Rick for this incredible opportunity and to this wonderful cast of talented folks for providing an ever needed message and good word. Thanks to Jess for allowing him to check one more Sondheim masterpiece off his personal list. Neil and Maggie, daddy loves you very much and remember: “You know what you want, then you go and you find it and you get it.” To the journey!! TPOG Jayne Bartish-Kacik (Jack’s Mother) is excited to be performing in Into the Woods at French Creek. She has performed onstage and off as a music director and Pg. 12 accompanist at area
theaters for many years. Some of her favorite performances on stage are Big Mama in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Joanne in Company, Jellylorum in Cats, and many, many more. Jayne enjoys spending time with her family, especially her grandsons, Bronson and Kylin and her new puppy, Lulu. Many thanks to Anthony and Jacqi for a memorable show. Karyn Bellush (Cinderella) is so excited to be back at French Creek, and to be a part of such an amazing cast! She last preformed as Hope Harcourt in Anything Goes with LCMT last summer, and was in the Marilyn Bianchi Playwriting Festival at Dobama Theatre. She is so proud of how far her and cast have come with this show, and hopes that you all enjoy your time “in the woods.” Megan Campana (Cinderella’s Stepmother) has been a part of many French Creek Theatre productions since 2016. Pan and Charlotte’s Web at Olmsted Performing Arts, and Schoolhouse Rock Live and Annie at the Beck Center. This is her second show at French Creek, previously appearing in Children of Eden. Outside of theatre, Anna loves to bake, read books, play guitar and roller skate with her friends. She would like to thank all 11 of her best friends for making her the best she can be! She would also like to thank her family for driving her to rehearsals. Anna can’t wait to be a part of more productions at French Creek! Michael Emery Fox (Rapunzel’s Prince) is very excited to be back at French Creek in one of his favorite musicals ever. He was recently seen here in She Loves Me this past winter. A Kent State graduate, some of his favorite productions are Children of Eden (Japheth), Spring Awakening (Melchior), The Little Mermaid (Chorus), and The Rocky Horror Show (Columbia). When he’s not onstage, Michael enjoys reading, spending time with his friends, and catching up on Schitt’s Creek. He would like to thank his amazing cast and crew and his amazing mother for supporting him even through shows that she hates (like this one). As always, Minnie, this one’s for you.

Actor/Actress Bios Elaine Guthrie (Cinderella’s Mother/Granny/ Giant) received her Bachelor’s degree in Music from Brigham Young University. Since then, she has focused on raising her four kids, and teaching music lessons out of her home. She loves to sing, play piano, and volunteer for her kids’ music and sports programs. Into the Woods is her first ever professional theater experience, and she is thrilled to be part of the cast with her daughters. She is especially grateful for her wonderful and supportive husband who has helped make the experience possible. K e n d a l l G u t h r i e (Sleeping Beauty) is a freshman at Avon High School. She got her start in theater at the Beck Center, followed by French Creek’s production of Annie, and is now happy to be part of the Into the Woods cast with her mom and sister. In her spare time, she enjoys playing the flute, drawing and painting, and participating in track.

M o r g a n Guthrie (Snow White) is a freshman at Avon High School. She enjoys singing with her A Cappella choir, color guard, and the dance team. She has been involved in theater at school, and is happy to have her first professional theater opportunity with Into the Woods. She wants to thank her friends and family for their love and support, especially her mom and sister who helped her audition for this show. Jackie Luthy (Florinda) is tickled “mauve” to return to the French Creek stage! She was last in Into the Woods about thirteen years ago at Kent State Stark Campus, where she played Cinderella’s Mother, Granny, and the Giant. She appears to be aging backwards, which is just fine by her. Caitlin Hamm (Baker’s Wife) is thrilled to be returning to the French Creek Theater stage in Into the Woods. She was last seen as Betty Haynes in Irving Berlin’s White Christmas. Caitlin is a Cleveland native and has been performing most of her life. She is a graduate of Kent
Actor/Actress Bios State University with her BFA in Musical Theatre. By day, she is an elementary school music teacher at Immaculate Heart of Mary in Cuyahoga Falls. She would like to thank her family and friends for their never ending love and support. Mark Hilan ( N a r ra to r/ Mysterious Man) is a Chicago native and retired radio news anchor. Mark is appearing in his second production at FCT following his work in She Loves Me. Since his first appearance onstage nearly 50 years ago, Mark has enjoyed dramatic, comedic and musical roles from Benedick in Much Ado About Nothing and Mortimer in Arsenic and Old Lace to George in George M and Richie in A Chorus Line. He is dedicating his performance in Into the Woods to his incandescent niece Connie. Marlene C. Karpinski (Witch) is making her second appearance on the French Creek Stage, and although she prefers to be behind the scenes, she is delighted to be performing once again. She is grateful to director Anthony Trifiletti for his patience and
faith in her, and for allowing her to perform her role in this wonderfully intimate theater. She is humbled to be part of an amazingly talented cast, exceptional musicians, and outstanding technical staff who have devoted their time and talent to the show. Also, she extends a special thank you to Jacqi Loewy for understanding and embracing her dancing. Marlene would like to thank her family and friends who have encouraged her, and supported her in her theatrical endeavors. Russell (Jack) Muzyczka (Cinderella’s Prince/Wolf) is thrilled to be a part of this production, and hopes that his performance won’t cause any “agony” in the audience. Jack will be attending the University of North Carolina at Greensboro this fall to study Musical Theater. He was most recently involved in the Akron Civic Theatre’s production of Hairspray (Link Larkin). Jack is so proud of his amazing cast mates for the work they’ve accomplished over the course of the past few weeks, and he could not be more excited for everyone in the audience to see this show.

Zach Palumbo (Jack) is thrilled to be back at French Creek Theatre, where he’s previously appeared in The Gifts of the Magi (Willy Porter), Little Shop of Horrors (Seymour Krelborn), and Children of Eden(Snake / Storyteller). He has performed throughout northeast Ohio on stages including None Too Fragile, Cleveland Public Theatre, Blank Canvas Theatre, Near West Theatre, and Western Reserve Playhouse. Later this summer he will appear in Cleveland Public Theatre’s Good at Heart at the BorderLight International Theatre Festival, and then in Shakespeare’s R&J at convergence-continuum. Much love to his friends and family, including his best friend in the whole world, Milky White. D r e w Schoenhofer is very excited to be performing in his first production with the French Creek Theatre. Drew is a junior at Capital University, studying vocal performance with an emphasis in Musical Theatre and Opera. The next role he will play is Governor Slaton in Parade at Capital.

This is her first show with French Creek Theatre, and is very thankful to be working alongside so many wonderful people! Her favorite past roles include Virtue in Anything Goes, Beth March in Little Women, Andrina in The Little Mermaid, and Gretel in The Brothers Grimm Specatulathon. Production Team: Anthony Trifiletti (Director/ Music Director) is an active solo pianist, collaborative artist, and music director throughout much of Ohio. As a pianist and music director, Anthony has held positions at TrueNorth Cultural Arts Center, The Lorain Palace Theatre, Lorain Palace Youth Theatre, Sandstone Summer Theatre, Amherst Workshop Players, Lorain Community Music Theatre, The Human Race Theatre Company, Dayton Opera, Dayton Philharmonic Youth Strings, and numerous other venues. Anthony is currently serving on the Board of Directors for TrueNorth Cultural Arts Center. He is a recent graduate of the University of Dayton with a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance. While at

Actor/Actress Bios UD, Anthony was the recipient of the Award for Outstanding Collaborative Pianist and performed at the American Choral Director’s Association National Convention in 2013. Besides working in theatrical and other performance related settings, Anthony is an active church musician having served at numerous parishes throughout the state. He is currently the music director at St. Peter in Lorain. Congratulations cast, crew, and orchestra on a wonderful performance! David W. Coxe (Conductor/Piano) is pleased to make his French Creek debut for Into the Woods. No stranger to local theatre, Dave has worked from Chardon to Amherst and all points in between. He has music directed such shows as Little Shop of Horrors, You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Jesus Christ Superstar, and Guys and Dolls, among many others. When not involved in a show, David works in the software industry, and is a church musician. AEA/SAG/AFTRA member, she has appeared on Broadway, in international touring companies, at several Cleveland venues and in many recognizable feature films/commercials. Production and/or playwright credits include Mr. Lewis Rules: Stories from the Juvenile Justice System, Legally Addicted (opiate addiction epidemic) and Both Sides of the Family (interfaith relationships). As an AEA Production Stage Manager, she supervised Cleveland’s longest-running show, Tony ‘n Tina’s Wedding, and was the SM for Cleveland Music Theatre’s new production of Jane Eyre. A recently retired Associate Professor at Notre Dame College, Jacqi would like to thank Anthony and this terrific cast/crew and YOU for supporting live theatre! Jeff Lockshine (Stage Manager) Jeff is thrilled to been making is French Creek Theater debut. He last served as a Production Stage Manager more than 20 years ago at Ohio University where he earned his MFA in Production Design and Technology. Primarily a lighting designer, Jeff has lit more than 100 productions at local theaters including Beck Center, Dobama, Clague Playhouse, Cleveland Public Theater, Blank Canvas Theatre and the defunct Halle Theater-JCC. Recently, Jeff directed Suds: The Musical at Clague Playhouse. During the day he is an Account Executive producing Trade Shows and Events. Justin Bilewicz, III (Costume Designer) is graduate of Ashland University where he works as the Costume Shop Supervisor, and also works as a freelance costume designer for the local area. In addition to designing costumes, Justin is the production manager for Sandstone Summer Theatre in Amherst, is the new Co-Drama Director at Marion L. Steele High School, and the Palace Youth Theatre’s Director in Lorain. Some of Justin’s favorite costume credits include Carrie, The Musical (Sandstone Summer Theatre), A Streetcar Named Desire (Mamaí Theatre Company), Jesus Christ Superstar (TrueNorth Cultural Arts), Antigone (Clearview High School), Mothers and Sons (Beck Center for the Arts), Waiting for Lefty (Case Western Reserve University) and Little Women (Ashland University). Justin’s recent French Creek Theatre designs are Annie, Willy Wonka, Parade, Joseph...Dreamcoat, and Death of a Salesman, just to name a few. Justin will be costume designing Sandstone Summer Theatre’s 50th anniversary show Disney’s Beauty and the Beast this summer, and will be directing the area premiere of Disney’s Frozen, Jr. for the Palace Youth Theatre.

Stan Kozak (Sound Designer) Stan Kozak, currently in his twenty-seventh season at Great Lakes Theater, has more than 50 design credits including Bat Boy: The Musical, The Mystery of Edwin Drood, Comedy of Errors, Amadeus, You Can’t Take It With You, Private Lives, Into the Woods and the Tom Hanks’ benefit performances. His work in 1979 and 1981 with Geraldine Fitzgerald on Streetsongs at GLTF led to the original cast album. Mr. Kozak was the resident sound designer for four seasons at the Porthouse Theatre Company, including productions ofDriving Miss Daisy, Niteclub Confidential and a Nightingale Sang. His collaborations with Victoria Bussert at Baldwin-Wallace College include productions of Chess, Hair, Company, Cabaret, West Side Story, Tommy in Concert, Parade, the Ohio premiere of Stephen Sondheim’s Passion, and one of the first nonprofessional productions of Phantom of the Opera. For Cain Park, his design credits include Secret Garden, Fiddler on the Roof, Grease, Bat Boy, Tick, tick…Boom, Nine, The Wiz, Harold and Maude and Pippin. Mr. Kozak has also designed sound for Wit and Last Five Years for the Dobama Theater, Iolanthe and Sweeney Todd for the Cleveland Opera, I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change and Forbidden Broadway SVU for the Hanna Theatre and A Shayna Maidel, Brooklyn Boy and Pangs of the Messiah for the JCC. He has served as sound designer for the All-City Musical for the Cleveland school system for eight seasons. Tobias Peltier (Lighting Designer) is a transplanted West Coast native where he cut his teeth in Theatre and Film working on multiple Emmy award winning television shows including NCIS and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. After moving to New York City, Tobias worked on various Broadway productions including theTonyawardwinning Wicked and winner of the Drama Desk Award The Best is Yet to Come: the Music of Cy Coleman. Tobias currently serves as the Technical Director of the premier event space on the West Side of Cleveland at the Breen Center for the Performing Arts. Tobias is a Guest Designer in residence at Illinois Wesleyan University. Tobias’ newest residency is at Ohio Northern University where he serves as the Resident Sound Designer. Recent lighting design credits for the Brecksville Theatre include Chicago and Newsies!. Other credits include: Fame! (Sound
Design) at Illinois Wesleyan University; Angels in America and Angels in America: Perestroika (Sound Design) at Baldwin Wallace University. Tobias is a proud member of Actor’s Equity Association. Sarah Rounds (Sound Board Operator) is excited to be back working on her tenth show at French Creek! She graduated from Full Sail University in Orlando, Florida, earning a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Recording Arts and currently works at Playhouse Square as a Ticketing Concierge. She is an Avon High School alumni where she was hugely involved in the drama club, and was inducted into the Thespian Society. She enjoyed being onstage as much as working off in runcrew and as head of the makeup/hair crew. In her free time, Sarah likes to sing, teach herself new instruments, hang out with friends and family, work on her sound design skills, and cuddle with her puppy.
