WELCOME TO FRENCH CREEK THEATRE Welcome to All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten! Robert Fulghum’s stories urge each of us to rediscover the meaning in life’s teachable moments. It is our goal this Thanksgiving season that the lessons learned through Kindergarten will enhance our homes and communities with love, tolerance and joy, so we can all be a light each day. My thanks to Brian McNally, our staff and most importantly our youth. Next month in Ewing Theatre Irving Berlin’s RICK FORTNEY Artistic Director, White Christmas returns to the stage, back by Lorain County Metro Parks popular demand, running December 2 – 18. Please get your tickets early for this Holiday Classic! Also in Ewing Theatre, Death of a Salesman runs January 13th through 29th. As relevant now as it was when it opened 68 years ago, witness Arthur Miller’s Pulitzer Prize-winning treatise on the price of the American Dream. DIRECTOR’S NOTE Every day I have at least one moment where I know I could have been better. Being short with the cashier at the grocery store because they spent an extra 15 seconds exchanging pleasantries with the customer ahead of me when they could have been scanning my spinach. Losing my patience with my four-year-old son because he wants to have an Aristotelian discourse about what’s on his dinner plate while I simply want to eat. “What’s this daddy? Where did it come from? Why is it on my plate?” Neglecting to tell my wife “I love you” before she leaves the house to go to work in the morning.

In part, I wanted to direct this play because the lessons it contains correct me; they remind me, “You know better. Quit being dumb.” Some of the best theatre is the kind that gives us a genial kick in the butt, simultaneously entertaining and admonishing that we can be better - that we are better. I hope you see something like that in this play. Thank you for coming, and please enjoy our show.

CAST KAELI BUSH has been acting for three years. She was last seen at French Creek in A Midsummer Night’s Dream ( H e l e n a ) . Previous credits include All I Really Need To Know I Learned From Being a Zombie, Back to the 80s (Ensemble) and Seussical the Musical (Ensemble). She also performs with the Avon Lake High School Concert Orchestra. She would like to thank her friends and family for their support. JOE DeLUCA is excited to make his French Creek Theatre debut. He is a fourth grader at Brookside Intermediate School in Sheffield Village. Joe previously performed in the 2015 TrueNorth Summer Theatre Camp production and the Children’s Choir’s production of The Nutcracker. He would like to thank his family and friends for supporting him and encouraging him to pursue his acting ambitions, and his director for giving him this opportunity.

L U C I A N O DiFRANCO has appeared in many shows here at French Creek including Bye Bye Birdie, Tarzan and Back to the 80s, just to name a few. He is excited to be a part of this production. B R O O K LY N FREEMAN was last seen at French Creek in this past Summer Theatre Camp’s production of Space Odyssey. Other credits include 2015’s Disco Days, and Teddy Bear Picnic in 2014. She has also been in various church Christmas plays with Great Lakes Church. She plans on acting in many more French Creek productions. Thanks to her family and friends for their constant support and encouragement! ABBY GOLDEN is so excited to be part of this show. Over the past seven years Abby has performed at Near West Theatre, Olmsted Performing Arts, Lorain Community Music Theatre and TrueNorth Cultural

Some of her favorite roles include Jane Banks (Mary Poppins), Little Red Riding Hood (Into the Woods), Little Robber Girl (The Snow Queen), Janie/ Teen Zombie in (All I Really Need to Know I Learned from Being a Zombie) and Mayzie La Bird (Seussical). When not onstage, Abby is a competitive baton twirler, cellist, member of her school’s women’s chorus and in her high school drama club. J U L I E T T E KINLIN has had a great time in AIRNTKILIK. She is in 6th grade at Brookside Intermediate. This is her 3nd show at French Creek. She has also worked with the Lorain Palace Theatre in many other plays including 42nd Street and The Sound of Music, just to name a couple. Juliette has won many awards in dance, and is glad for the experience. She would like to thank her mother and father for making this experience possible. BRIAN MURPHY is in the 7th grade. He was previously in the TrueNorth Cultural Arts’ Summer Theatre Camp production of Bye Bye Birdie as Policeman/ Ensemble. He would like to thank his Mother
for introducing him to theater. He wouldn’t be where he is now if it weren’t for her encouragement. Z O E Y PAPANIKOLAOU is thrilled to make her debut performance with French Creek Theatre. She has previously performed in her school play Hairy Tale Rock as well is in summer theatre camps. Zoey is a devoted dancer, and started her dance training at the age of 3. She has performed in The Nutcracker with both the Moscow Ballet Theatre and The Joffrey Ballet. Thanks to her twin sister, Ella, for helping her rehearse her lines and for being her biggest fan! EMILY PLATO has appeared in Bye Bye Birdie, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The 3 Little Wolves & The Big Bad Pig and Back to the 80s at French Creek, and she hopes to return for more! PRODUCTION TEAM BRIAN MCNALLY (Director) is born and raised here in Northeast Ohio, and proud to call the shores of Lake Erie home. Currently he resides in Lakewood with his wife, Kristy, their four-year-old son, Marty, a pair of sloth-like cats and a goldfish. After graduating from Bay High School in 2003, he attended Ohio University before taking a 9-month sabbatical to intern with the Orlando Shakespeare Theater. There he split his time performing and working in their education and outreach department. Once back home, Brian continued his baccalaureate career at Cleveland State University where he won an Irene Ryan Nomination from the American College Theater Festival for his turn as MAN in Mac Wellman’s Whirligig. Upon graduating Magna Cum Laude in the spring of 2009 with a BA in Dramatic Arts, he auditioned for and was accepted into Great Lakes Theater’s acclaimed School Residency Program as an Actor/ Teacher, a position he held for three years before coming on staff with the Lorain County Metro Parks. Though his onstage exploits have slowed considerably since the birth of his son, Brian has appeared onstage with Beck Center, Cassidy Theatre, Cleveland Public Theatre, Cleveland and Ohio Shakespeare Festivals, The Cleveland Orchestra, Lakeland Civic Theatre

and Workshop Players’ Theatre. STAN KOZAK (Sound Designer) Stan Kozak, currently in his twentyseventh season at Great Lakes Theater, has more than 50 design credits including Bat Boy: The Musical, The Mystery of Edwin Drood, Comedy of Errors, Amadeus, You Can’t Take It With You, Private Lives, Into the Woods and the Tom Hanks’ benefit performances. His work in 1979 and 1981 with Geraldine Fitzgerald on Streetsongs at GLTF led to the original cast album. Mr. Kozak was the resident sound designer for four seasons at the Porthouse Theatre Company, including productions of Driving Miss Daisy, Niteclub Confidential and a Nightingale Sang. His collaborations with Victoria Bussert at Baldwin-Wallace College include productions of Chess, Hair, Company, Cabaret, West Side Story, Tommy in Concert, Parade, the Ohio premiere of Stephen Sondheim’s Passion, and one of the first nonprofessional productions of Phantom of the Opera. For Cain Park, his design credits include Secret Garden, Fiddler on the Roof, Grease, Bat Boy, Tick, tick…Boom, Nine, The Wiz, Harold and Maude and Pippin. Mr. Kozak has also designed sound for Wit and Last Five Years for the Dobama Theater, Iolanthe and Sweeney Todd for the Cleveland Opera, I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change and Forbidden Broadway SVU for the Hanna Theatre and A Shayna Maidel, Brooklyn Boy and
CAST AND CREW BIOS Pangs of the Messiah for the JCC. He has served as sound designer for the All-City Musical for the Cleveland school system for eight seasons. He also had the good fortune to have worked with Bebe Neuwirth in her concert performance for the Ideastream Gala in 2005. He was honored to be among the first group of LORT sound designers to achieve recognition in USA 829. MICHAEL S. MARTINEK (Lighting Designer) is currently the technology coordinator and a teacher at Saint Peter School in Lorain. He has been involved in Northeast Ohio performing arts for over six years. He has conducted various choral and instrumental ensembles; provided theatrical, technical, box office, and event oversight; and served in various behind the scenes roles of Stage Manager, Sound Designer, Lighting Designer, Projection Designer, Set Designer, Technical Director, and Event Consultant to vast number of productions at Saint Ignatius High School’s Breen Center for the Performing Arts, Notre Dame College, and Mercury Theatre Company. He is extremely excited to return for his ninth show at French
Creek, and would personally like to thank the cast for their wonderful talent, hard work, and enthusiasm; and the production staff for all their wonderful direction, dedication, and leadership in this production. DANIEL TEMELKOFF (Technical Director) Daniel is returning to French Creek Nature Center after previously working as technical director on their productions of Curious George, Bye Bye Birdie, South Pacific and Next to Normal as Assistant Projection Director. While relatively new to the technical side of theater, Daniel prefers acting and had been seen in The Wooden Nickelodeon’s The Gyntish Self (Loki, The Mutant Princess, John, Shadow), Negative Space Gallery’s FAIDS (Bill), and Youngstown State University’s productions of Medea (Jason), Reasons to be Pretty (Kent), The Crucible (Reverend Paris), Leading Ladies (Doctor Myers), The Cripple of Inishmaan (Doctor McMurrey), and As You Like It (Sir Oliver Martext). Daniel has also appears on film in Made in Cleveland and Investigation Discovery’s Homicide Hunter.
