Next w e h a v e t h e irresistible type — a t least h e thinks h e i s irresistible. He is considered a l o t of f u n w i t h the fellows, b u t he is not a v e r y g o o d i n g r e d i e n t f o r mixed company.

Lastly w e h a v e t h e clear, cut, well dressed, g o o d l o o k i n g b o y who i s neither Bohemian n o r i n tellectual ( i n large doses), nor the over-confident sports hero, nor the party b o y n o t f i t f o r mixed company; but rather he is a good conversationalist, dances w e l l , a n d handles a l l situations beautifully.

WhatEveryTeacher ShoultiknowAboutMe Once upon a time I took a personality test, a n d d i d I surprise myself! I found out I ' m n o t quite the person I t h i n k I am. A n d I ' v e been living with myself for seventeen years, e l e v e n months, a n d 350 days. H o w can I expect a p r o fessor i n college to know me when he has never been i n m y company for more than an hour?

My personality t e s t revealed that I l i v e i n a n optimistic a n d visionary w o r l d . M y ideals p r e vent me from quite believing that the people I l o v e could d o a n y thing wrong and that to do wrong is very grave indeed. I weave the pattern o f m y l i f e o n a v i v i d l y colored tapestry. I a m t h e b r i g h t bluebird of cheeriness, the purplerobed confessor a n d sympathizer, and t h e rainbow-threaded b u t t e r fly o f talent t h a t shyly kisses a l l with pollened lips. Ye t I am not a chameleon, a l t h o u g h I s i n c e r e l y endeavor t o change a m o o d t o oblige a friend. I dislike my tapest r y t o be commonplace and o r d i nary; therefore, I shun all cut and dry formulas. I m a k e exceptions for myself a n d others a n d insist upon a standard o f conduct f o r everyone. I l o v e G o d because I believe one m u s t have great faith, hope a n d c h a r i t y. I h a v e a n i n satiable q u e s t f o r knowledge o f my religion and am very interested i n t h e s t u d y o f a l l subjects.

I h o p e some d a y t o a d d t o m y tapestry t h e l i f e o f a m a n w h o shares m y a v i d interests i n G o d and l i f e . I l i k e t o d o m y best a t all times w h e n I ' m n o t overcome by seizures o f laziness. Occasionally I t a k e o f f m y r o s e colored glasses. Looking around, I f i n d i t quite difficult t o believe I l i v e i n the M i l k y W a y G a l a x y o n t h e planet Earth. Each glimpse o f m y world gives m e added conviction to " s t i c k to soy guns" and do m y best, letting God do the rest.

May I never be tempted t o lay aside my rose colored glasses, may I respect w h a t I a m a n d respect the individuality o f others.

T h e " p i o neer spirit"? Mother Ursula w a l k ing i n the door and teasingly holding her precious burden? Loud and tinny, Big Torn Donahue's v o i c e echoed t h r o u g h t h e halls i n 1957-58, W I B G , t h a t v i o lent supporter o f r o c k a n d r o l l , was t u n e d i n f r o m t h e m o m e n t eyes s l e e p i l y o p e n e d t i l l t h e y even more sleepily shut.

With t h e passing o f a summer dedicated t o acquiring n e w m a turity, many returned w i t h a collection o f records, a n d J o h n n y Mathis crept into our building. Joe Niagra and B i g Tom were present but less noticeable.

A t l a s t — J u n i o r s i n college, ready to face the future, one hardly hears W I B G Strains o f P r o boxiev, F r a n k Sinatra, The K i n g ston Tr i o , and even, i f one listens very c a r e f u l l y, sometimes W a g ner, compete f r o m room t o room for supremacy.

A m o n g t h e sneaker-clad girls were the hopeful Frosh. O u t standing i n t h i s n u m b e r w e r e Doris R i l e y a n d Patricia Schelle.

I t has been said that a team i s only as strong as i t s bench. 'This year the substitutes supporting the first team w i l l b e Patricia B a r n i ville, S a n d r a A n d e r s o n , J e a n Pearson, Marianne Hillegas, Patricia Redden, Agnes Orsatti, M a r y Mitchell, Rosemarie M e n n i t i , a n d t _ Judy Wachter. Games h a v e been scheduled w i t h Immaculata C o l lege, Gwyned-Mercy a n d Eastern Baptist College.

Of c o u r s e , a t e a m c a n n o t achieve a n y success w i t h o u t a n able coach, and Cabrini is no e x ception. Miss Crowley has devoted many hours i n t o m a k i n g C a b r i n i a winning team.
