DIRECTOR REPORT DIRECTOR REPORT DECEMBER 1 - 31, 2025

Lake Oswego Parks & Recreation’s mission is to Build Community, Enrich Lives and Care for the Urban and Natural Environment. This report is a look back and summary of operations supporting our mission and promise of excellent services to the people of Lake Oswego.

A Season of Celebration, Inclusion, and Record Participation December reflected exceptional participation across Parks & Recreation programs and facilities, combining holiday traditions with strong operational performance across the system. Community-focused events such as SensoryFriendly Santa Visits, Santa Letters, and the sold-out Tinseltown Trolley brought families together, while parks and facilities remained active and well-used despite significant weather events. Behind the scenes, staff supported record-setting Winter/Spring registration, responded to a high volume of community inquiries, and coordinated storm response, facility operations, and seasonal maintenance citywide. These efforts ensured continuity of service, safety, and access during a busy and demanding time of year.

DECEMBER WAS MARKED BY EXCEPTIONAL PARTICIPATION ACROSS LOPR PROGRAMS AND FACILITIES, HIGHLIGHTING THE FULL SCOPE OF PARKS & RECREATION SERVICES WHILE ALSO EMBRACING THE SPIRIT OF THE HOLIDAY SEASON.
