WHY LOOT RENTALS LOVES COMMODORE PERRY ESTATE The Commodore Perry Estate sits upon 10 acres of blissful retreat smack dab in the center of Austin. Once you enter the gates, you’re completely transformed and taken to another era full of European glamour and luxury all curated by the highly acclaimed designer, Ken Fulk.

We are enchanted with all the little details and high design offered throughout this property. From the expansive lawn and gardens to the details of the mansion. It is hard to pick just one location for an event on the grounds when all the areas are a perfect fit for entertaining guests.

One thing is for certain, guests will definitely feel special spending time at this historic property.

We are excited to offer Loot Rentals for your next event at Commodore Perry Estate. We had a great time hand selecting pieces from our collection to help highlight the space’s charm and adaptability to any type of event whether it be a small intimate gathering, a wedding with 250 guests, or a corporate meeting. CHAPTER ONE

THE MANSION Built in 1928 by “Commodore� Edgar and Lutie Perry, the Italianate manor of the property located directly across from the Inn is adequately dubbed The Mansion. It boasts 10,800 square feet full of five expertly decorated suites, a Solarium, Loggia, Library, and Terrace. Many elements of the structure are from the original 1928 construction, such as the Solarium floors, and the manually operated elevator located to the right of the entrance. The impeccable interiors were designed by Ken Fulk, who for two solid years sourced antique furniture and decor for the whole property from our favorite treasure trove, Round Top. We envision an intimate rehearsal dinner in the Solarium and a cocktail hour on the Loggia allowing guests to enjoy this modern take on Old World glamour hidden around every corner.

CHAPTER TWO

THE SUITES While the ecelctic elegance of the Roaring Twenties is carried throughout the design of each of the five suites situated within the mansion, the LaVerne Suite already stakes its claim as the crowd favorite. The “Instagrammable� pink patterned walls, ceiling, and upholstery lends itself to influencers and honeymooners alike. The Hal Thompson Suite, pictured in the following pages, masterfully melds the geographic features of Texas in its black and white toile wallpaper with the look and feel of an Italian villa. Choose from these two rooms, the Edgar Perry Junior Suite, or the adjoining Mr. & Mrs. Perry suites.

CHAPTER THREE

THE ESTATE LAWN Situated between the mansion Loggia and the pool, the Estate Lawn is nestled under an abundance of the Texas Hill Country’s famous Live Oak trees. We created a cabana scene filled with neutral-colored lounge furnishings for an initmate oasis for guests to mingle under the sun. Flank the cabana with Turkish pots and plants like we did here, or go all out with a floral and greenery installation.

CHAPTER FOUR

THE POOL This stunner of a hotel pool can only be described as a jewel among the lush greenery that surrounds it. Imagine sunbathing on these canary yellow loungers and feeling like Grace Kelly or Cary Grant could walk by with a sophisticated, “How do you do?� It transports you to a time of luxury and high society, and is arguably the most stylish way to beat the Austin heat.

CHAPTER FIVE

THE GREENHOUSE LAWN Tucked away behind the Inn and adorned in young olive trees lies the Greenhouse Lawn. The space is idyllic for an outdoor bridal brunch or baby shower, thus the design of our bistro sized Vince Tables and Brasserie Chairs paired with our Brooklyn Bar. Our Boho Blues dishware and fun florals by Bricolage pair gorgeously with the bar’s signature cocktails creating a kind of Alice In Wonderland feel.

CHAPTER SIX

THE COURTYARD The arches and palm trees of the mission-style courtyard located in the Inn hardly calls for any additional aesthetic help. That’s why we kept things simple with our Pepper Pub Tables and Leather Woven Stools. You and your guests can commune in style in the open air enclosure, and then sneak away under the covered hallways for a more intimate conversation.

CHAPTER SEVEN

THE CHAPEL The Chapel’s classically vaulted ceiling and bare walls are like a blank canvas for a couple’s creative vision. To reflect the decadence and luxury of the rest of the Estate, we used a variety of our upholstered furnishings as ceremony seating for guests. Right outside, our eye-catching Black Prism Bar and Greta Shelves give an ode to the Art Deco style popularized in the 20s, while the Chase Waterfall Tables and Oscar Stools ground the scene with elegant simplicity.

CHAPTER EIGHT

THE SUNKEN GARDENS No, you’re not looking at a miniature Versailles, you are still within Austin’s city limits in these sun-soaked Sunken Gardens. Right below the Estate restaurant, Lutie’s, a concrete staircase encased by an inclined rose garden leads down to four quadrants of freshly mowed grass and trimmed hedges. The ideal reception spot, these Sunken Gardens are perfect for both the traditional romantic, and modern bohemian. We used our X-Base Farm Tables and Oslo Chairs for a dining setup made complete by the venue’s own glass and dishware. An oversized Judd Cube conversation pit is great for guests to reconnect and interweave with clusters of pub tables close by. This dreamy setting will undoubtedly make your party one that is remembered fondly for years to come.
