ORGANIZERS OF THE SESSION |

Dear participants of EUTIN 2023, after long years of separation we finally have the chance to spark the flame of European spirit once again in Eutin. After challenging steps and hard-working past months we are joyful and honored for you to be the first guests after our COVID-related timeout for our very own 4th international session of our European Youth Parliament Project.

When asked what the EYP is and why she commits to organizing it a fellow organizer of the EYP Plzen said: »We invest ridiculous amounts of time, energy and brain-power into spending a couple of days with complete strangers in strange cities with minimum sleep. We do things for free that in any different circle we would get pair forquite generously.«

As this might not sound too compelling, let us stress what benefits the weekend might offer: the EYP will most likely leave you with a deeper understanding of challenges and possible solutions inside and outside of Europe; it will leave you with a fresh perspective on what constitutes your personality and values and it might leave you with new found contacts that have the capacity to evolve into relationships that will alter our lives and trajectories in the best ways possible.

In this day and age, shaped by increasing attempts of separation instead of unification, in times of condemnation instead of discourse and appreciation, we feel that the EYP could potentially have exceptional merits for all of us.

As a the lead topic for EUTIN 2023 we have decided to focus on the war that continues to rage at the borders of Europe. We should count ourselves lucky to have have the opportunity to get together as mostly unaffected European citizens.

Dear Delegates, my name is Anneke Werthen and I am an alumnus of the CarlMaria-von Weber Gymnasium, the beautiful venue for the 4th international session of the EYP project. It is my greatest pleasure to welcome you to EUTIN 2023 as president. I would like to thank your for joining us this year. I cannot wait to see all of you work at the session.

I did my first EYP back in 2017 in Odense, Denmark, and this event had a great impact on my life. I am very excited to be one of the two presidents. I will do my best in fulfilling all your expectations and I hope you will enjoy the session as much as possible.

Dear Delegates,

Joana Froebel and I have graduated from the Carl-Mariavon-Weber school in 2020. My EYP journey started in 2018 and I’ve participated in four sessions so far. This is my first time as a president. I’m very excited to be part of this session and I’m looking forward to meeting you all and hearing your great ideas!
