‘I’ve done a lot of dating –but it’s good to be fussy!’

Icould be a da ting professional –I’v e been on so man y dat es o ver the pas t few y ears. A recent surv ey I read said that, in 20 19, single Brits c ollectively spent a whopping £2billion and 96 million hours on finding lo ve in 20 19. Tha t’s mad, but e veryone w ants t o find a partner. Dating is wha t w e all lik e t o talk about –as proven b y the popularity of sho ws lik e Lo ve Island and dating apps. But I reckon finding ‘The One’ is not as eas y as it used t o be . P eople go on more da tes and spend lots of time on apps, but in general, I think e veryone no w t ends to be more pick y about wha t the y’re looking for in a partner. Social media mak es it eas y t o c onnect with man y more lik ely candida tes. I do think it ’s a good thing t o go on lots of da tes, because with each experienc e, y ou learn more about wha t y ou w ant. You need t o really get t o kno w someone before y ou mak e an ything official. It doesn’t matt er where y ou go , wha t y ou do , or ho w much mone y y ou spend –it’s all about getting t o kno w someone . When I da te, I jus t think, “T ick! Jorgie on First Dates C elebrity Special in 2015

Tick! T ick!”, if the y do things right. It ’s lik e a t est! But it ’s good t o be fuss y –I’v e da ted so man y idiots. I w ant someone who is polit e, funn y, generous, caring, willing t o impress, and not t oo full of himself. I’ll tak e my time until I meet m y perfect man!

MY TYPICAL DAY :

‘I’m the wor st c ook –I usually ea t out’

I SLEEP IN AS LATE AS I CAN . I am not a morning person! I get up , feed m y dog Lady, and then ha ve breakfast, which is usually muesli or porridge with c oconut milk. I did Veganuary and really enjo yed it, so I’m trying t o ea t v egan when I can. Going out for food

I LOVE SPINNING CLASSES, AND TRY

TO G O A F EW T IMES A W EEK. It ’s lik e

being in a club! I lo ve the feeling of

ev eryone in the room t ogether, burning

those calories. I’ll then sho wer and do

some admin.

I DO A PODCAST CALLED LO OSE L IPS with [ L ove Island star] Samira

T he time goes so quickly –it doesn’t feel lik e w ork. I’ll ha ve a sandwich for lunch, then I ha ve meetings or ca tch up with friends in the aft ernoon when I’m in L ondon. I’ll get the train back t o m y mum’s in Manches ter. MY MUM’S AN AMAZING COOK. I used t o lo ve her s weetcorn beef hash before I s tarted ea ting more v egan meals. I’m the w orst c ook ev er –I’d be rubbish on Celebrity Mas terchef! If Mum hasn’t cooked, I’ll usually jus t ha ve a pizza or ea t out. ‘ WE MUST HELP THE MOST UNLOVED PETS IN RES CUE SHELTERS’

New research shows that more than half of UK shelters have seen more dogs arriving in the past

12 months than the year before. I adopted my dog, Lady, from a dog shelter, and she is the love o f m y

li fe. I absolutely adore her and she brings so m uch jo y to me and my mum. More people definitely

ne ed to adopt, but I wish they would also remember the disabled dogs. When we visited t he With her dog Lady in Manchester

sh elter, Lady was the one at the back of the k ennel w ho n o o ne wa nted. She only has one ear after her mum b it h er o ther e ar o ff

wh en she was young. This broke my heart and m ade m e w ant h er mo re! I hate that people often pick pets just for what they look like. She is an amazing dog and I’m so happy we chose her.

IF I RULED THE WORLD...

I’d have a day with everyone wearing the same colour. I think it would unite us. The colour would change each year.

…and I’d give guide or therapy dogs to people who need them. Pet power is underrated – they can really help.
