Popular musician passes away

THE Bus Pass Buskers are mourning the passing away of their leader and founder member, Steve Brearley.

Under Steve’s inspirational leadership the group has, over the last 10 years, played in numerous venues including the major Flower Shows at Harrogate, Southport and Chatsworth, as well as pubs, clubs and private functions.

Steve was the driving force behind the band’s development, constantly pushing for higher standards and his infectious humour and easy rapport with the audiences made him a very popular front man.

He loved people to sing along and the blend of golden oldie skiffle, blues, C&W, ballads and rock and roll music has made the group particularly popular with older generations whilst also raising large amounts for charity.
