ROBYN SHREIBER
Born and raised in Philadelphia, Robyn relocated to Los Angeles in 1982 to work for J&J Snack Foods, the company her father bought out of bankruptcy in 1971. J&J Snack Foods Corp. is a leader and innovator in the snack food industry and manufactures well known niche snack foods and beverages to food service and retail supermarket outlets throughout the county and internationally. When Robyn first began her career with J&J, the company produced only soft pretzels and churros. Today J&J produces over one thousand products -- from an expansive line of soft pretzels and pretzel bread products, to cookies, breads, biscuits and frozen novelties. Robyn has played a strategic key role in the company’s growth and expansion over the years, helping J&J Snack Foods grow to where it is today – a billion dollar company. She currently serves as VP of Sales for National Accounts and specializes in selling to regional and national restaurant chains as well as specialty retailers. In late 2011, Robyn met Italo when she arrived early to a Zumba class and saw Italo leading Louis Van Amstel’s LaBlast® Dance Fitness class. Impressed by his high energy and talent, Robyn became a LaBlast® regular and soon after started taking Latin ballroom lessons from Italo. They began competing in 2013 as a Pro-Am couple and are now regular competitors in Latin and Smooth ballroom dance styles at competitions throughout the US. Grateful for the tremendous positive impact dance brought into her life, Robyn decided to form a non profit organization using dance to positively impact the lives of those in need. Together with Italo, who shares Robyn’s passion for dance and the need to help the human condition around the world, the pro-am couple formed RIDE, Robyn & Italo’s Dance Events.

RIDE, ROBYN & ITALO’S DANCE EVENTS
The organization’s mission is to create one-of-a-kind dance events benefiting difference-making charities. RIDE’s inaugural event, DANCE FOR AFRICA was held in July 2017 and benefited the African Wildlife foundation whose mission is to ensure that wildlife and wild lands thrive in modern Africa. RIDE’s DANCE FOR AFRICA was a resounding success. The event was hosted by Step Up actress Briana Evigan, and featured specially choreographed dance numbers by Italo as well as dancing great Karina Smirnoff. The spectacular event, which featured African themed food and decor, also included performances by Trenyce Cobbins and Alexander Jean (featuring Mark Ballas and BC Jean) as well as a live art show by celebrated artist Brian Olsen. RIDE’s 2018 event will benefit non-profit organizations that combat human trafficking.
