Great things! GROWTH
Over the past year, we have received outstanding support from our local community and businesses! Through generous donations of goods, volunteer time, and financial support, we have expanded the Boulevard Teen Center Program to include regular Late Night activities, monthly family dinner nights, Teen Field Trips to destinations such as the Ape Caves, Long Beach, and a zip-line obstacle course.
LIFE SKILLS
As featured recently in The Daily News, our newest development is our Life Skills Program. Due to the overwhelming popularity of activities such as cooking classes, gardening, and “life skills” such as basic sewing and balancing a checkbook, we are thrilled to be launching regular Life Skills classes and activities at the Boulevard!
Plan in action
Through crowdfunding donations, grants, and a stellar group of volunteers, we were able to install an upgraded garden where teens are learning how to grow and harvest their own fresh fruits and veggies. The Longview Parks and Recreation Foundation is closing in on its goal to raise over $40,000 to renovate space at the Teen Center to install a functional kitchen to teach cooking classes in the near future!
thank you to our Teen CEnter partners and sponsors! We can’t do this without you!
