It is impossible to guarantee the quality of a product without respecting its origins.
Don Gambero® was established in 2015, but in few years it has inherited and successfully passed on the long tradition of Sicily’s sailors and fishermen.
In this story the main characters are real people, who have always handed down the tradition of an authentic, responsible model of fishing.
The story of Don Gambero has many nuances, but just one colour.

We are from Mazara del Vallo, a fishing village that embodies the identity of Sicily in a product which has, over time, become an icon of authentic flavour: the Mazara Red Prawn.
Here, we have inherited this dish as an art form to be defended and handed down to future generations.

An Explosion of Taste!
Our prawn is a rare experience for the palate, to be enjoyed “raw”, in a first course or on the grill and here the magic happens: the “black” head - that means a female prawn with the roe - turns to an intense red colour. A true explosion of taste and an ancestral flavour of the sea that extends far beyond the Mediterranean Sea to reach international markets, earning itself the title of UMAMI of Sicily.
