A MESSAGE FROM WGA President

Spring is finally in the air, and it’s officially golf season in Texas!! Thank you all for participating and making our Sand Clinic a terrific success! We had an outstanding turnout and will host another “Clinic then Cocktails” event on Thursday, May 26th.

Please mark your calendars for the WGA Spring Fling Tournament. It will take place on Wednesday, April 20th with a 9:00 a m shotgun start Individuals should sign up by emailing the pro shop at assistantgolfpros@braeburncc com Teams will be put together for a fun and creative competition. Look for a flyer soon with all the details!

I’m so proud of our very own WGA Members who represented us well: Maria Rosenfield and Cecile Marcoux played on the Champions team, while Lyn Jones played on the 2nd Place Gross team at the River Oaks CC Pink Tee Tournament! Great job ladies!! See their photos below. I recently played in the Royal Blue Invitational at the Boca Raton Yacht & Country Club and my team won the Tournament!

Coach Michael Martins began his teaching career at the American Embassy Lagos and American International School, where he taught from 1986 to 1989. Upon moving to Houston in 1990, Coach Michael taught tennis at the Jewish Community Center Houston from 1990 to 1994, followed by the Southwest Tennis Center Houston from 1994 to 1996, and Fondren Indoor Tennis from 1994 to 1997. In 1997, Coach Michael started Michael Martins Tennis International Sugar Land, and opened the West University Place location in 1998. Our Tennis Coach is available for private and group lessons for Kids and Adults.

Rates: $85 for 1 hour private, $50 for 30 minutes private; Group- $25 per person per hour- max of 5 attendees
