How do you celebrate a musical genius’s 250th birthday? Why, with a London Philharmonic Orchestra FUNharmonics family concert, of course! Today we mark a quarter of a millennium since iconic composer Ludwig van Beethoven was born, by exploring some of his greatest orchestral music. In the concert you’ll have a chance to guess Ludwig’s mood from the music you hear, conduct the Orchestra just like he did, and join in with the LPO with your voice. Along the way we will find out about Ludwig’s life and what he was like – why was he so grumpy? In what way was he a genius? And why, oh why, did he throw the stew?
