“We’ve increased the range and increased the availability,” explains Bahee. “The stock value we are holding is nearly three times higher than it was under the previous owners.”

The alcohol range has been increased significantly, with multipacks of beer and cider in tall and unmissable stacks, and an extensive wine range, including presenting all the white wines chilled and ready to drink.

“Alcohol is really key,” says Bahee. “There is a very good range from Londis and we have added some local products too. We have some Somerset ciders here which sell really well.”

We are improving the sourcing of fresh produce in general, and particularly with better quality control. Quality checks will be taking place for all produce arriving at the Londis depots, so we will be able to closely monitor incoming quality. This is a big thing for us, a really strong statement, that will result in a better offer for the shopper.
