Solo e soltanto nel momento in cui questo valore nasce e si afferma, un luogo prende vita e comincia ad esistere davvero.

L’identità di luogo si genera attraverso l’incontro tra l’architettura e le persone che l’attraversano. L’architettura suscita sensazioni ed emozioni alle persone, che rispondono attribuendole un senso intimo, un significato solido. Così, un luogo, si distingue dal più grande spazio indifferenziato.

Tutto ciò che rende un luogo unico e riconoscibile è la sua capacità di relazionarsi con le persone e far nascere in loro un sentimento di appartenenza e attaccamento empatico.

A sense of place is created when architecture comes into contacts with the people passing through it. Architecture conjures up feelings and emotions in people, who respond by assigning it some intimate sense and solid meaning. In this way a place stands out from more expansive indistinct space.

What really makes a place unique and recognizable is its ability to interact with people, generating a sense of belonging and emotional attachment in these people.

So what distinctive traits must a place now have in order to “exist” and play a part in people’s lives and experiences?

Segreen Business Park is located 10 km from Milan city centre and 5 km from Milan Linate Airport.

The exits from the East Ring Road are extremely close by and Rivoltana Highway runs alongside. Segrate Station, connected to the campus by a new cycle-pedestrian path, is an integral part of the “S” system of railway lines connected to the Milan underground network. All this already constitutes an excellent system of links to the Business Park.

The infrastructures will be further enhanced by a connection to the BREMBI motorway link running between Brescia, Bergamo and Milan that also joins up to the Rivoltana Highway and the terminal of the new Milan Underground network at Linate.

It also helps people go about their personal business, assisting them in solving either big or small individual or family management issues with the aid of a kindergarten inside the Business Park, shuttle systems connecting Segreen to Segrate Station, and a whole range of services that will gradually evolve in accordance with the tenant’s needs.

U R B A N I TY The San Felice neighbourhood is located alongside the Business Park. This neighbourhood was devised by the architects Luigi Caccia Dominioni and Vico Magistretti in the 1970s and provides a further extensive range of services and amenities for people.

Forlanini Park, the Idroscalo (artificial lake), the green part of San Felice, and Marconi and Malaspina Sports Centres, all provide plenty of sports facilities and top-notch landscaped areas helping this place to be positively integrated into the general setting of Milan.
