Golf Players showed incredible endurance through the torrential downpour during our annual Roadrunner Golf Classic. One golfer told us his ball stopped rolling and started floating down the watery green! Even with the rainfall, our 16th tournament brought in $67,776 for student aid. The tournament is a main component of our tuition aid funds. This year brought in over $8,000 more than last year. 16 volunteers along with 3 student volunteers helped make this year a success. We are so grateful to those of you who came out to help! Golf

Tournament raises money through sponsorships. If you know someone who you think may want more information about supporting student aid through playing golf or sponsoring a team, let us know!

Despite threats of rain, the Community Fair miraculously stayed dry! Jewel organized the first ever enrollment booth to meet potential new families. There was also a car show displaying classics including the Loma Linda vintage firetruck and our own 1957 Chevy (SOLD!). The fair had a great turnout and as always, was a lot of fun.

Young alumni returned to the LLA football field for a night of pizza, reconnecting, and competition! The young alumni ended up victorious over our varsity flag football teams. It was a fun night!

Magazine Drive had a lot of donations. Here is the breakdown:

The recruitment season is 12 months long. This last fall, we spent some time on the soccer field! Mini inflatable soccer balls in hand, Jewel met with potential new parents at the Loma Linda University Church soccer league. Last year, a mom Jewel met ended up not only sending her kids to LLA, but has also become a valuable ambassador for the school.

All donations are returned to each school. We processed over 460 gifts. Way to go!

Our 1957 Chevy has been sold! You may have heard about this car generously donated to us for fundraising purposes. The vintage red chevy made 2 appearances in 2015 at car shows. Thanks in particular to Gene Oswald who spent his time at one of the car shows sharing his vast car knowledge.

Our parent ambassador program brought parents together for an evening to share their stories of why LLA means so much to them. It was a chance for parents to build relationships with other parents and for us to thank them for being shining witnesses for LLA. There is no better way to fuel the passion for the quality education we all work hard to provide than by gathering supporters together to openly express why they value LLA.
