DEGREE OVERVIEW

Logan’s Master of Science in Chiropractic Pediatrics (MSCP) is a specialized, evidence-based program designed to transform chiropractors into pediatric experts. As the first of its kind in the United States, this program equips chiropractors with advanced skills to adapt their clinical expertise to the unique needs of pediatric patients. The MSCP program provides high-quality, clinically-focused training for U.S. and internationally licensed chiropractors and chiropractic students, through a people-centered, integrative approach to healthcare delivery. Obtain the knowledge, skills, and confidence to enhance the trajectory of children’s lives by improving their health.

CURRICULUM

Logan’s MSCP is a two-year, part-time master’s program designed to elevate pediatric expertise. Primarily offered online and asynchronously for maximum flexibility, this program includes two in-person sessions (three days once a year) for essential hands-on training and experience.

The program emphasizes the following:

• Advanced manual therapies, equipping students with specialized skills in pediatric-specific spinal, cranial and extremity techniques.

• Managing children with sports injuries, mild traumatic brain injury, and extremity conditions to meet the unique needs of pediatric patients.

• In-depth exploration of pediatric anatomy, physiology, neurology and nutritional needs.

• Ability to diagnose and manage children with a wide range of pediatric conditions, from common issues to more complex conditions.

• Working collaboratively with other healthcare providers.

• Highly skilled, specialized faculty with a passion for pediatric chiropractic care.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

U.S APPLICANTS

• Doctorate of Chiropractic (DC) degree

• Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher

• Chiropractic license in good standing

INTERNATIONAL APPLICANTS

• Degree equivalent to the U.S. Doctorate of Chiropractic

• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, or approval from the program director

• Chiropractic license in good standing

• Proficiency in English

DC STUDENTS WITH ADVANCED STANDING

• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher

• Completion of one or more terms as a primary treating clinician in a facility approved by your chiropractic institution

Logan’s program has been developed and is overseen by Elise Hewitt, DC, DICCP, FICC, a board-certified pediatric Doctor of Chiropractic and one of the foremost authorities in the specialty of chiropractic pediatrics. She has spent more than 35 years advocating for the chiropractic care of children and served as president of the ACA Pediatrics Council for 10 years. In addition to treating children in her pediatric practice, Dr. Hewitt has published textbook chapters and numerous papers in the scientific literature about chiropractic pediatrics. She is a member of the prestigious NCMIC Speakers Bureau, for which she teaches all aspects of pediatric practice. Dr. Hewitt was named 2023 Academician of the Year by the ACA, in addition to many other awards.
