August 15 - 21, 2011 LOGAN SET TO GRADUATE 66 NEW DOCTORS OF CHIROPRACTIC AND 26 MASTER’S DEGREE STUDENTS AT SATURDAY, AUGUST 20 COMMENCEMENT Logan College of Chiropractic will hold its 165th commencement at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 20 in the William D. Purser, DC Center on the Logan campus. Approximately 66 graduates are scheduled to receive their doctor of chiropractic degrees while 26 students will be awarded their Master of Science degrees in sports science and rehabilitation. Logan President George A. Goodman, DC, FICC, and other college officials will lead the ceremony. The commencement speaker will be Kent S. Greenawalt, president and CEO of Footlevelers. Mr. Greenawalt will receive an honorary degree of doctor of laws at the commencement. LOGAN SPORTS COUNCIL ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT PANCAKE BREAKFAST IS MONDAY Adam Ligon, vice president of the Logan Sports Council, reports that the Logan Sports Council will sponsor an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast, Monday August 15 from 7 to 10 a.m. in the cafeteria. The breakfast cost is $5 for pancakes with sausage and beverages. Students, staff and faculty are all invited to chow down! CONSTRUCTION UPDATE ON THE LOGAN EDUCATIONAL WING • • • • • • • •

A REMINDER TO STUDENTS: If you have a mixed schedule and see that there is a conflict in the finals schedule, remember that all conflicts and make-up exams take place on Friday, August 19. You also must complete the paperwork from the Testing Center to ensure that a final exam is available on that day. Keri Szwarc, financial officer at Logan, advises August 2011 graduates that this is the final week to stop by the Financial Aid Offices to pick up their Exit Counseling Paperwork. This paperwork must be completed and returned to Financial Aid prior to Graduation Checkout. Your packets can be picked up in office 267. Logan LRC Director Chabha Tepe is developing a Leisure Reading Area to give students, faculty, and staff access to popular literature for recreational reading.
