NUTRITION CLUB PRESENTATION IS TUESDAY, APRIL 5 Senior intern and Tri 9 student Anthony Pasek will present a lecture on Epigenetics to the Nutrition Club on Tuesday, April 5 at 11 a.m. in room G46. NEXT APPLIED KINESIOLOGY MEETING IS TUESDAY, APRIL 5 The Applied Kinesiology Club will meet on Tuesday, April 5 at 11:05 a.m. in room G40. Dr. Katharine Conable, associate professor in the Logan Chiropractic Science division, will teach the Tuesday meetings of the A.K. club, beginning with the most basic basics of A.K. This week, she’ll play a video of Dr. Walter Schmitt explaining the neurologic basis of Applied Kinesiology. All trimester students are welcome to these hands-on workshops. No previous experience is required. These meetings afford students an opportunity to practice these and more advanced AK skills with the help of club officers and experienced club members. Learn to evaluate muscle function with scientific precision and to use muscle responses as functional neurological feedback. Gain certainty on your ability to correct postural deviations and to identify subluxations. Learn simple manual methods of optimizing muscle function to prevent injury and help adjustments hold. Through the trimester, videos of Dr. Goodheart telling his stories of the early discoveries in AK and then practicing those techniques will be presented.
