Nutley Public Affairs and Health Administrator Meredith Blank was recently honored as a “Leader of Change” at the “Leading the Change: Women Shaping a Sustainable Future” event held at the Brownbox in Orange. The luncheon’s goal was to recognize women who are leading sustainability efforts across environmental, economic, educational, and social justice movements, according to a press release from the township. “I am truly honored and humbled to receive this award, and proud to stand alongside such an incredible group of honorees—each one dynamic, inspiring, and deserving of recognition,” Blank said. “I want to thank Mayor (John) Kelly for this nomination and for his trust in me to help carry out the meaningful programs and events we bring to the community, especially those celebrating Women’s History Month. I also want to recognize Assemblywoman Morales and Assemblyman Venezia for this honor, and the strong, fierce women of Nutley and beyond whose vision and dedication laid the foundation for all of us who follow.” In the Legislator's commendation from Assemblywoman Carmen Morales and Assemblyman Michael J. Venezia, Blank was cited for her dedication and service, her lasting and positive impact on the Township of Nutley, and for exemplifying the highest ideals of civic responsibility, sustainability, and community empowerment. Mayor John V. Kelly III, representing the Township of Nutley leadership, was also in attendance at the event. “When I looked at the criteria for the award, I immediately thought of Meredith Blank,” Kelly said. “Not only does she lead these efforts for the township, but she has a personal passion for each and every aspect of the award. She is part of the driving force that makes Nutley a destination in life and I was proud to nominate her.” The commendation also highlighted
