The garage sale, which is expected to run from from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., is a Greenutley initiative designed to raise awareness of the importance of reducing, reusing and recycling.

The sale was originally scheduled to take place the weekend of Sept. 23 and Sept. 24 but because of an inclement weather forecast, it was moved. The permit issued for the original date is valid for the change of date or any future date in 2023.

Permit applications are available at the Department of Public Works in Town Hall, 2nd Floor. As with all past townwide garage sales, the $10 permit fee from all participants will be put towards future Greenutley programs. Wasko is a mentor at Lebanon Valley College

Alexandra Wasko, of Nutley, is one of more than 50 talented students selected as a Lebanon Valley College first-year mentor to guide first-year and transfer students through their early weeks at The Valley. Wasko, a graduate of Nutley High School, is pursuing a bachelor of science in neuroscience.
