A New Era of Care

Jordan Valley’s Kingsley Dental Clinic Expands to Serve Patients with Special Needs

Going to the dentist isn’t always easy, especially for kids, adults, and families with unique sensory or special healthcare needs. But thanks to a big expansion at Jordan Valley’s Kingsley Dental Clinic, more people in the Ozarks can now get the care they need in a space designed to help them feel safe, welcomed, and even relaxed! This summer, Jordan Valley completed the first phase of its Kingsley clinic

remodel, growing from just four dental rooms to twenty-five! That means more appointments, shorter wait times, and less travel for families. Jordan Valley built their clinic with comfort in mind; from calming bubble walls and soft fiber-optic carpeting, to noise-cancelling headphones for patients who need a quieter space. There’s even a sensory-friendly waiting area to help patients feel calm before their appointments begin.

Jordan Valley’s Kingsley clinic is the only facility in the area that accepts Medicaid and offers sedation dentistry. Because of this, people travel long distances (up to 4 hours!) to be seen at their clinics. With the expanded capacity, you’ll no longer have to run around town to different dental offices. Jordan Valley is ready to serve entire families! This also means fewer barriers related to transportation, language access, or finances.

Expanded services include: comprehensive pediatric dental care from infancy through adolescence; specialized services for children and teens, including sedation dentistry and behavioral support; and dedicated adult dental care for individuals with complex or special healthcare needs. With this expansion, Jordan Valley is not only increasing its capacity, it’s re imagining what inclusive, patient-centered dental care can look like for the community.

“This investment in our Springfield: Kingsley location ensures that more families— including those with unique sensory or special healthcare needs—can get the dental services they deserve in a supportive environment.”

Jordan Valley

Jordan Valley Dentists Accepting New Patients!

Dr. Shannon White has been caring for patients at Jordan Valley for six years, specializing in pediatric dentistry. She has a soft spot for kids with special needs, making sure each child feels safe, comfortable, and cared for from start to finish. She’s also trained in behavior management, so she knows just how to help visits flow.

Dr. Derek Smith brings his own special touch to adult dentistry, with years of experience working with adults who have special needs. His priority? Helping every patient feel at ease while they get the care that they need. Like his colleague Dr. White, Dr. Smith has also received training in behavioral management.

Dr. Anna Price is a pediatric dental specialist, trained in behavior management, pediatric restorative care, and sedation dentistry.

Dr. Bethany Anders specializes in general dentistry and has experience with adults

and special needs care. Jordan Valley recommends children begin dental visits by age one or within six months of their first tooth. Early visits help establish a dental home, prevent future trauma, and build healthy oral care habits from the start.
