Local People Macclesfield & Compass Wilmslow are FREE community magazines and business directories for the residents of Macclesfield, Tytherington, Prestbury, Alderley Edge and Wilmslow with a regular combined distribution, directly through doors, of around 34,000 individual homes and businesses. Our purpose is to serve the communities into which they are distributed and to support the local businesses that operate within or close to these communities by providing an extremely affordable, effective and popular means of getting their brand out in front of the people who matter most to them – potential customers! Indeed, our mantra since the outset has always been: "Affordable, effective and popular!“
This is demonstrated by the overall distribution growing to nearly 34,000 individual homes and businesses between the two magazines. Throughout 2014, we’re challenging businesses to discover the marketing power of the magazines. To show our commitment and loyalty to local businesses, we’ve also frozen our advertising rates as we enter the new year.

Local People Macclesfield is hand delivered to around 22,500 homes & businesses throughout Macclesfield, Tytherington and the surrounding villages. Additional copies are left at collection points around town and in Chelford village. Compass Wilmslow is hand delivered to 11,000 homes and businesses throughout Wilmslow, Alderley Edge and Prestbury.
We offer the largest, most concentrated circulation of any other similar printed media, potentially reaching even more people in the area than local newspapers. Both magazines have been established for over 8 years and embrace local values with content that includes interesting and informative editorial, community and charity news, event information, competitions and puzzles alongside advertisements from local suppliers and service providers. Local People Macclesfield is published 10 times per year (ie monthly with joint editions July/August and December/January). Compass Wilmslow is published 6 times per year (ie every other month)

Terms & Conditions If you would prefer to mix and match sizes within a booking, we can build a tailor-made package of advertising for you and if you advertise for three issues or more, we would be happy to fit in some free editorial (of the same size as your ad) in one of the issues where you appear. We provide a free basic artwork service if you wish to take advantage of this or we can put you in touch with professional graphic designers. Otherwise, artwork should be sent as a print ready PDF or JPEG of min 300 dpi. Please ask if your artwork is in any other format. Exact sizes for all ads can be seen on our website www.localpeoplemacclesfield.co.uk. Other than premium pages, we do not guarantee position in the magazine but will always try and accommodate any particular wishes if at all possible. Similarly, we do not offer exclusivity of category but do not generally place more than 3 /4 ads from any one category of business unless they are significantly different. Our payment terms are strictly 7 days from date of invoice otherwise any discounts given will be forfeited and the full amount will be due. Advertisements booked but cancelled after booking deadline are subject to a 50% cancellation fee. We accept payment by cash, cheque, bacs or debit/credit card. Adverts are accepted subject to our Terms and Conditions and placement of any order for advertising, whether in writing, by email or verbally, is deemed to an acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. Our booking deadlines are generally between 12th – 18th of the previous month depending on the magazine. Artwork deadline will be advised at time of booking.
