LOWTON WI Lowton WI celebrated their 61st birthday in September, we had a lovely evening with fancy cakes and nibbles. As cake was a theme of the evening, it was appropriate that we had a quiz all about cakes!

Our speaker for the evening was Hilary Scott who gave a very interesting talk about 'Rivington, past, present and future'. Rivington is a place most of us are familiar with and have spent time walking around the area.

In October it is the annual AGM so no speaker that month as we will be voting in our President who will take us forward for the next twelve months.

Lowton WI meet on the first Thursday of the month at Lowton Social Club Newton Road at 7.15pm.
