LITTLE NEST RESCUE FUNDAY SUCCESS
The sun shone on us for the Funday this year! Alongside the Dog Show we had some amazing Crafters sharing their amazing creations with us.

NEW JUNIOR BRITISH RECORD FOR KATIE!
Katie took part in her first International Competition in the 2* Open at Gauchoux, France.
Katie scored 58.874 in the Tower 90 finishing in 6th place. The Tower discipline was Katies toughest challenge riding the beautiful Nadjie but she stayed calm and smashed her previous best set the week before at the 4 Nations Competition where she finished in 3rd place.

LOWTON WI
On Thursday 3rd September, Lowton WI painted the town red with our 60th birthday celebrations. We were joined by friends from Atherton WI, Lancashire Federation of Women's Institutes Chairman Heather Williams and WI adviser Helen Aldcroft.
Following a rousing rendition of Jerusalem and our usual business, we enjoyed an afternoon tea of delicious sandwiches, quiche, cakes and scones with all the trimmings. Yes, it was 8 at night but anytime is afternoon tea o'clock when you are in the WI!
We were then treated to our entertainment for the eveningPink Vintage. Marie and Lindsey had us bopping through the decades to a fabulous fun filled selection of floor fillers until well past our bed times.
All this was topped off by our raffle, then we all took home a piece of the lovely cake to enjoy the next day. After all, you haven't really been to a party unless you take something home in a serviette!
Here's to the next 60 years!
October is also a busy month as our meeting is the Annual AGM on the Thursday, followed on Saturday 5th October with our charity coffee morning held in St Mary’s Church Hall at 10am - 12pm everyone welcome. Entrance £3 which includes a drink, cake and entry in the raffle. Proceeds are going to Wigan & Leigh Hospice.
Lowton WI meet on the first Thursday of the month at Lowton Social Club on Newton Road at 7.15pm.
