On our first meeting of spring we held a garden in a teacup competition, which saw several beautiful arrangements created by our members. The winner of the competition was Liz Jones, well done to you Liz. We then had a talk from the lovely ladies of Golborne in Bloom who explained how they try to create a colourful and bright space around Golborne, this is done entirely by volunteers who meet on Thursday and Saturday mornings at the back of the library.

Lowton WI meet on the first Thursday of the month at 7.15pm in Lowton Social Club on Newton Road.
