HAND DELIVERED TO HOMES IN LOWTON, GOLBORNE & SURROUNDING AREAS
Welcome to the December issue of Local Living Well, it’s that time of year again folks Merry Christmas, and Happy Holidays! We here at Local Living are wishing you all the best this holiday season, and thankfully it’s looking a lot more festive than last year, so let’s all keep our fingers crossed that it stays that way! In this month’s mag, we have a bunch of holiday offers from our advertisers, so make sure to check those out. We also have some updates from a couple of local groups. Breastfeeding Together and the Leigh & District Family History Society, both of which are slowly reopening their sessions, so keep an eye out for information about that both in this edition and on Facebook! And, of course, it wouldn’t be the holiday season without some carolling, so check out the events in our What’s On Guide. For a chance to meet Santa, head on down to the Carols Around the Tree event with Lane Head South Residents’ Group, and for some al fresco entertainment stop by the Epiphany Trust Carol Concert later this month! That’s all from us this year, we can’t wait to see you all in 2022!

Product designer goes back to his roots to launch new start up
A product and mechanical component designer from Leigh has launched his new business, RYRO Design, at Moss Industrial Estate. Hamed Faridfar (46), has come full circle as he started his career on the industrial estate back in 2003 when he worked for a small design company developing sensors for automation and safety. Five years later, the company moved off the industrial estate and, in 2019, Hamed left the business to start up on his own. Hamed has developed two lines of business at RYRO Design. One provides mechanical design consultancy services, 3D modelling, 2D Drawing, Prototyping, engineering parts sourcing and jigs and fixtures for the manufacturing industry. In the other, Hamed is developing his own range of products for the commercial catering industry. Hamed Faridfar, founder of RYRO Design, said: “It has been tough starting a new business during a global pandemic but it has also forced me to develop the business in a more robust way and identify sectors and industries where I can see long term security as well as great potential for growth.” Visit www.ryrodesign.com.

Girl Guiding Lowton West
So proud of our girls from Girlguiding Lowton West units representing 1st Lowton Rainbows, 2nd Lowton Brownies, 1st Lowton Guides and Lowton Rangers. We placed our poppy wreath on the Cenotaph on Saturday to pay our respects and to be Covid responsible by not attending the church service at St Luke’s on Sunday to protect our more vulnerable adults in our community. We will remember them. We are really enjoying being back together, meeting face to face after continuing to meet during the pandemic virtually on zoom. We have waiting lists for girls to join in Lowton West as we are the only units open at the moment. We really need new adult volunteers to come forward to help Girlguiding units reopen in the area. If you could spare a few hours a week please email GirlguidingLowtonWest@gmail.com or text / ring 07309673724 and we will be in touch with further details.
