Lessons are available for ages 0-11, including their Baby Swim sessions!

If you’re looking for something to get you out of the house this month, St Thomas’s Church in Golborne is hosting their ‘Good As New’ shop every Thursday! Be sure to drop by between 10AM and 12:00PM to snag some great deals and support our local church.

Alternatively, Golborne and Lowton West VOICE are hosting regular Community Walks through Byrom Hall Wood, so check them out and make the most of the sunshine!

Whatever you decide to do, be sure to send in your photos! We love to feature community photos of everything that’s going on in the community, and we can’t wait to see yours!

Lowton WI Wow! What a wonderful evening we had at our recent meeting, it kick started our jubilee celebrations off in a very stylish manner thanks to our speaker Frances Raferty who gave a talk about the Royal Jewels it was really interesting learning about the history of the pieces, with the added treat of a fine display of replica jewels for us to try, all the sparkles certainly caused plenty of excitement and here’s Norma wearing one of the tiaras!

Our next meeting will also cause excitement as we are hosting a indoor street party for our members to celebrate the Queens Platinum Jubilee, this will be held on Wednesday 1st June.

The Voice We held our first Community Walk since the beginning of Covid last Tuesday, to coincide with Mental health Week.

Too often our residents sit alone and don't have the opportunity to meet other people and just have a good chat. This seemed like the ideal opportunity. Linda Graham from Lowton led the walk around Byrom Hall Woods and we completed the circular walk with plenty of stops to take in the beauty of the Woods.

We were accompanied by Tracy Lamb from the Wigan wellbeing team who kept us entertained with her non stop encouraging chatter.

Sixteen people attended and all said how much they enjoyed coming together as a group. We intend now to resume our regular monthly walks exploring different areas of our Ward each time.

MLS Gardening Services My business has been set up now for over 5 years and has gone from strength to strength.

My general maintenance client base is expanding every year and areas which are covered are Golborne, Lowton, Leigh and as far as St Helens.

I have recently done jobs for Stone Cross Estate Agency and Redwaters of Leigh.

My landscaping is also going well with an extended portfolio of work.

So now I have been accepted by Wigan Council for the good trader scheme.
