Our meeting this month was on the 6th June which was the 80th anniversary of D-Day. In memory of the brave service men who lost their lives Lowton WI dedicated their heart felt rendition of Jerusalem to them. Our speaker for the evening was Ruth Sanderson who has been a lecturer at Manchester Met University for 20 years, Ruth gave us a very interesting talk about Branding and how companies use pictures, colours and words to influence what we might buy. Due to the general election being on the 4th July and the unavailability of the Social Club, our next meeting will now take place on the 18th July at the usual time of 7.15pm at Lowton Social Club on Newton Road.
