TRADITIONAL CAMPS (ages 7-17)

A well-rounded camp experience designed with progressive programing as a camper ages and a variety of camp activities.

HORSE CAMPS (ages 10-17)

This program helps campers learn riding techniques, beyond just the experience of being on horse back.

RUSTIC ADVENTURE CAMPS (ages 11-17)

This camp focuses on the experience of tent camping, outdoor cooking, and outdoor skills such as canoeing and knot tying.

PARENTS NIGHT OUT

March 21, 5:30 – 8:00pm

Take the night off—you deserve it! While you catch a movie, enjoy a meal, or simply relax, your kids will be having a blast at the YMCA. Our Parents Night Out offers a safe, fun-filled evening for children aged 6 weeks to 12 years, packed with supervised activities, games, and entertainment. Offered at the Cooper, Copple Family, and Fallbrook YMCAs.

During Lincoln Public Schools’ Spring Break March 10 -14, the Y offers Out of School Days, which is a licensed child care program offered at the Cooper, Copple Family, Fallbrook, and Northeast YMCA locations for youth in Kindergarten through age 13.

SPORTS EQUIPMENT DRIVE

NOW through March 24!

In partnership with the Lincoln Lancaster County Health Department and Lincoln Community Learning Centers, we are collecting new and gently used youth sports equipment to be distributed to youth in need. Drop off at any Lincoln YMCA location. ITEMS NEEDED: court shoes, soccer cleats, shin guards, knee pads, swimming caps & goggles, dance/gymnastics leotards, and athletic clothing.

EVOLT CHALLENGE

February 16 – April 12

It’s not too late to join the Evolt Body Composition Challenge – FREE for Lincoln Y Members! How does it work? Complete three Evolt scans (beginning, middle, and end) between NOW and April 12. First, second, and third place prizes will be awarded based on Body Fat Percentage Loss.

WOMEN’S WELLNESS WEEKEND AT CAMP KITAKI

Ladies! This spring, take some time for yourself by relaxing and recharging in a peaceful forest setting at Camp Kitaki’s Women’s Wellness Weekend! You can be adventurous or stay low-key. The weekend is yours with opportunity for social connection, relaxation, adventure, fitness, and fun!

FATHER DAUGHTER DANCES

Last month, fathers and daughters enjoyed a special night of dancing, crafts, snacks, and fun at the Cooper and Northeast YMCA – complete with photo booths to capture the memories!

EARLY CHILDHOOD FAIR

On February 16, Y staff hosted a booth at the Early Childhood Fair at Gateway Mall. Event goers had the opportunity to create bracelets and learn more about the Y!

EXPANDING ACCESS TO YOUTH SPORTS

In 2024, we launched an initiative to give 4th and 5th grade boys and girls from Pershing Elementary Community Learning Center (CLC) the opportunity to participate in the YMCA Youth Sports recreational soccer league. Thanks to the generous support of Lincoln Industries, 40 kids were able to participate in soccer. Click here to read more about this initiative on our blog!

ANNUAL MEETING AWARDS

We held the YMCA of Lincoln Annual Meeting at Cornhusker Bank on February 6. We were pleased to recognize several employees for their dedicated service to the Y, along with Lincoln Industries (Corporate Partner Award), Ann Ringlein (Outstanding Volunteer Award), and Claire Savage (Outstanding Youth Character Award).
