LABOR DAY PLANS? JOIN US FOR THE FALLBROOK YMCA YOUTH TRIATHLON ON SEPTEMBER 1!
Kick off your Labor Day with fun, fitness, and community spirit at the Fallbrook Y’s 9th Annual Youth Triathlon! Open to kids ages 5 and up, this exciting event features age-appropriate swim, bike, and run segments, all starting and finishing at the Fallbrook Y.
All skill levels are encouraged to participate in this fun, untimed event! Proceeds from the Youth Triathlon support the YMCA of Lincoln’s Annual Fundraising Campaign, which provides financial assistance for families in our community.
Ages 11+ | 9:30am start
100 yard swim, 2 mile bike, 4 laps running
Ages 8-10 | 10:00am start
50 yard swim, 2 mile bike, 2 laps running
Ages 5-7 | 10:30am start
25 yard swim, 1 mile bike, 1 lap running
Registration Details: $25 per participant, race t-shirt included!*

EMPLOYEE APPRECIATION WEEK
Last month, we celebrated Employee Appreciation Week across our association. From 80s themed parties to food trucks and yummy snacks, our staff enjoyed a week dedicated to highlighting their service and commitment to the Y.

Although it’s Back to School Month, we’re still holding on to the summer vibes a little longer! The last few weeks have been packed with awesome end-of-summer events across our association . . . carnivals, pool parties, and more!


CITY SWIM CHAMPIONSHIPS
On July 19, our very own Cooper YMCA Crocodiles, Copple Family YMCA Sea Turtles, and Fallbrook YMCA Flying Fish competed in the City Swim Championships. Congratulations to our swimmers and coaches on ending the season with some hardware!

RAILYARD RIMS
August started out strong with our 3 on 3 Street Ball tournament in the Railyard. A record number of 39 youth teams participated along with16 adult teams. THANK YOU to the volunteers who made the weekend a success along with our event sponsors: SCHEELS, Downtown Lincoln Association, Bison, Broadcast Media House, Raising Cane’s, JKK Medical Billing Services, Ink Alley Screen Printing & Embroidery, Shoot 360, and Five Nines.

Youth Policy Reminder
As we gear up for the school year, we would like to remind families of our After School Youth Policy:
At Copple Family, Fallbrook, and Northeast YMCAs between the hours of school dismissal to 5:00pm, when Lincoln Public Schools is in session, anyone 14 years of age or younger must be participating in a supervised program or be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
