A LOOK AT LMU AS A TEAM LMU saw Tusculum storm back from a 2-0 deficit to win 3-2 and advance to the Food Lion SAC Volleyball championship match. It was the third time that Tusculum defeated the Lady Railsplitters this season. All three wins were come-from behind. LMU is now 4-4 in SAC tournament and has made the semifinals three consecutive seasons. LMU went 9-3 at home this season and 6-3 in SAC2 play at the Mars Gym. LMU is 9-3 on the road and 6-3 on the road in league play. LMU went 10-0 in regular-season non-conference play in 2010. All of LMU’s matches this season were regional matches. The 12 SAC wins are the most conference wins in school history. Conversely the six conference losses are the fewest. LMU’s current regional ranking of fourth is the best in school history. Walton is ranked fifth in hitting percentage and eighth in kills in the SAC. Walton’s seven aces vs. Carson-Newman on Oct. 12 tied the school record for aces in a four-set match.
