2022 in review
“Two thousand twenty-two was another great year for Haire Group thanks to our amazing employees and customers. Haire Group continued to grow and expand. In addition to our Apstar line of flexo folder gluers and rotary die cutters and the Encore set-up-while-run line of flexo folder gluers and rotary die cutters, we began selling the Engico Jumbo flexo folder gluer. With our expansive line of machinery, we are able to pair clients with the best machinery solutions for the best value to meet their specific needs.
Our customers consistently look for ways to improve their operations to better serve their clientele. In turn, we do the same and provide next-level technology that will further enhance the efficiency and product quality capabilities of existing and future customers. As the exclusive sales agent of Engico, we are excited to be adding to our product line and offering our clients new technology. This Italian-born machine has unparalleled flexibility, set-up-while-run capability, and style. The Engico Jumbo Flexo Folder Gluer can handle short-run orders and the largest-sized boxes in the world. All Engico machines are equipped with remote access, allowing real-time, remote service from Engico engineers. And, with replacement parts coming from our facility right outside of Chicago and permanent state-side technicians, our customers have the assurance of immediate service.
As everyone has returned to traveling, we have had the privilege of having many of our customers visit our New Machinery Showroom & Training Center. Our flagship sales and training center allows our customers to see our machines in person as well as have their teams train on the machines prior to installation. We have hosted everyone from Independents to Fortune 500 companies over the past couple of months. We are extremely excited to be adding another one of our machines to the showroom in Q1 of 2023.
In addition to a tier-one and personal buying experience, our service department is here to help our customers, assist them post-purchase, and provide ongoing support. Through professional 24/7 service and support, a pre-install training center, and an expansive parts department at our facility just outside of Chicago, we help our customers maximize uptime and profitability.
As an owner of Haire Group, I have really enjoyed watching our team continue to grow throughout 2022. Our President, Mike Mulroe, has been instrumental in that growth, infusing his prior corporate knowledge and experience. Part of the excitement of that growth has been adding younger professionals. I grew up in the industry, so to speak, so it’s fantastic to see the next generation take on leadership roles and young professionals start their careers here at Haire. By nourishing and molding young professionals, they become masters of their craft which is imperative to maintain the high standards we have for our employees to service and support our customers.
One of the things we were really proud of this past year was our ability to deliver Apstars that were ordered in 2022 in 2022. When you’ve been in business as long as we have, you start to be able to anticipate the market’s needs. While the industry was experiencing year-plus wait times, we were able to deliver and install Apstars within months. We earned a 99% record for on-time installs, and with pre-install, hands-on training in our training facility, our customers were at full production two weeks after installation. For our customers, that meant they were able to keep up with increasing market demands and maximize profitability.
