1. First Contact • Player information (position?, age?)

• Medical / Patient history (past and present injury?, fracture?, surgery?)

• Practical information (foot size?, weight?)

• Trouble identification (hip, pelvic, knee pain?, callus,?) ?

2. Observation table Pelvic to Foot examination: Ø Abnormalities that the patient has not noticed. ØComparaison of muscle and joint rotation: § Flexion / Extension. § Internal / External. § Non weight bearing.

3. The podoscope • To find position of patient (arch: low, middle or high).

• Check global alignment (spine, pelvis, knees, feet…).

4. Pressure Plate Analysis • Dynamic • Static position ØAllows to see the distribution of the weight on each foot. (front / back and lateral). Ø It is thus possible to correct imbalances, using additional support and corrective wedges in the insole manufacture.

5. Treadmill • This step allows us to see the body movement during the walking and running action . • Video gait analysis.

1. Boot / Trainer consideration • Cut and shape.

• Width and depth.

• Flexibility of the sole.

2. Choice of the materials • Adaptation of resins and of the reinforcement /support solutions that you want. • It is important to sand angles created by the layers added during the manufacture to provide better comfort and compliance.

3. Orthotic selection • Choice of hardness and shape corresponding to the data from pressure plate and podascope along with type of boot / trainer. • Constructing the orthotic to achieve the required solution.

PHASE III. v Customisation 1.

Footprint Heating Moulding Releasing

1. The footprint The footprint is taken by the Sidas Silicone Pillows Ă˜ Vacuum the air in order to have the perfect footprint.

2. Heating Place the insoles in the «Podolab» ØInsert the Orthoics. ØActivate the air pump and adjust the temperature. ØHeating time is approximately 5 minutes.

3. Moulding • Placement of Orthotics in the footprint. • Then the player stands on the insoles for a few minutes.

Position : slight flexion.

4. Releasing • After a few minutes the player can step off Sidas machine.

• Wait for 5/10 minutes… the insoles are ready !

PHASE IV. v Tuning 1. Orthotic fitting.

2. Final test.

1. Orthotic fitting • Cutting of the new insoles respecting the origin template .

• Sanding and brushing of angles to avoid any pressure point.

2. Final Test • Test with the player on site! • Satisfaction checking after training session.
