Letter from the President

Hello Team Loyalty,

First let me start off by Thanking all of you for the birthday wishes, I am clearly getting older as my eyesight is going and my hangovers last longer but I feel truly blessed with my friends, my family and all of the team members I get to work with, Thank You!

I think, wait I know we had a pretty great October, while we did not hit our instore sales goals (except Florin, WAY TO GO TEAM FLORIN), we did hit the overall company revenue budget. Congratulations Team Loyalty, we had our second highest Pawn Service Charges (PSC) month ever and our largest Scrap/ Corporate sales month ever. I have been receiving great feedback from our jewelry training seminars and want to thank all of you that attended. Mr. Weiss is a leader in the jewelry field and especially when it comes to the pawn industry. The information we all learned from the seminars I believe will make us a stronger and obviously more informed team. We look forward to continuing our training programs with an upcoming watch seminar as well as the NorCal CAPA conference.

Fourth quarter (Q4), we are in November already, unbelievable! I have set revenue budgets for each location and have gone over these sales goals with each store manager. These are realistic expectations based on historical data and trends that Loyalty Pawn has achieved. We have all invested into our success and I believe we will all want to see us hit our targets. Loyalty Pawn has invested into our store’s appearance, into our inventory hard goods, jewelry and luxury goods, into our teams not only more team members but also into the knowledge and training and most importantly we have all invested into the Culture that Loyalty Pawn now has and will continue to grow. I know we have the tools to hit our numbers; we can do this together! Q4 is especially important to retail and the pawn industry is no exception and that is why we have been making these sales goals so important. At the same time we need to make sure we service all our clients pawn, buys and redeems, because we strive “to provide the highest standard of quality, commitment and value to every customer in our Loyalty Pawn Family”.

I am excited to have been visiting with each store and changing my normal “pop-in” visit to more “engaged” visits and have conversations with as many team members as I can. If I happen to be coming in on days that one of you is not scheduled please reach out and I will make certain to move my schedule around to make sure we get a few moments together for a brief discussion as I am trying to share my knowledge of the business with you but at the same time want to learn from each of you and get your opinion on what we can or should change and hopefully improve on.

Gratefully,

A Letter from the General Manager

Hello Everyone,

Even though October has 31 days, it sure flew by quickly. Overall, we had a pretty good month. We are a third through the 4th quarter and we’re expecting to beat last years numbers significantly. It was nice to see Greg Weiss this last month. We have received the feedback from those who attended the diamond training course and it was hands down a great learning experience! This will not be our only lab class for grading stones and viewing imperfections. We understand that more time is needed to go through grading and many of you would like to view larger stones as well.

In the middle of October, you may have noticed that Stan and I have made some appearances to the stores. We are committed to making this more routine. With the advice from ICG and knowing that many of you like us coming around, we plan on weekly visits. This is a great time to speak with everyone and to check out the uniformity within the locations. We continue to do many things right but we often catch the small things that are different store to store that are meaningful for correction. We truly hope that everyone is proud to be a part of the Loyalty Pawn family as it has been much work from many to make it what it is.

I would like to take a moment to mention the sales leaders for October. In first place, Dominic Tognolini sold $27,369.75, 2nd place was Dylan Tinklenberg sold $15,522.50 and 3rd place was Mark Xiong who sold $13,776.94. A big congratulations to Dominic for being the top leader in sales for the year. Dominic has been in first place 9/10 times so far this year! We sincerely thank you Dominic for your hard work and dedication to your team!

We are happy to expand inventory to the stores especially though the holiday season. There has been much focus in tracking your aged merchandise, add -ons and jewelry sales per day. We are committed to fulfilling the needs of your store contacts so please continue to collect your customer wants so we can track down these items. Let’s have a fun and strong November!

Sincerely,

Loyalty Pawn Family

I can’t believe the holidays are among us! I don’t know you, but this year has flown by. What great training we all got from our friends from ICG Greg Weiss. I love how hands on you get to be with the diamonds as far as measuring and testing your skills on grading diamonds. I can’t wait to see all of you put your skills to work for the holidays so we can move all our new jewelry that the company has provided. October was a fun month with new team members joining the family and stores being creative with decorating their stores. Another great change that we are implementing to my schedule is changing up the rotation of our Loyalty Walks. As you all have seen now, I will be going around visiting every store every week. I am excited to see some the changes of direction we are going with this and the sense of urgency this provides. I read a quote that goes with what we’ve been saying on our meetings by Jim Rohn it says, “without a sense of urgency, desire loses its value”. Let’s treat all of our goals with a sense of urgency and let’s crush all of our November goals! This month we are going to get to know Marcos Barragan from Florin Mall Dr. He has been in the Pawn industry for 10 years. He loves this industry because as nice of a guy that Marcos is, he can really make a difference when someone is going through a hardship like some of our clients. Marcos was born at Sutter memorial in downtown Sacramento, but he was raised out in the country Clarksburg California on the other side of the river in Yolo County. Some of his best memories was always going fishing with his grandfather Jesus. Marcos is the second oldest of 5 boys no girls just like you imagine growing up with 5 boys it was total was mayhem fighting, wrestling, and just all-around horse playing. As I can relate from experience, we should all feel sorry and give big props to his mother for raising them. At the age of 8 years old Marcos and his family moved back to the city because a better opportunity that his father got with a job. He worked in the fields where he would pick and cut produce. He has done everything from corn to berries. Working for a few years there gave him the opportunity to buy his family a house. When they moved into that house it opened opportunities for Marcos and his brothers to get involved with sports. That was the time where he got introduced to the beautiful sport of futbol not soccer. From a very young age he realized he was better than most of the other children he played with. His future in the sport looked very promising until he got to the age of 17 when he met his soon to be future baby momma Rachel and his main focus started to shift as well. At the age of 19 he had to put his dream of being the next Messi on hold because he found out he was going to be a father. Soccer has always been his passion and still plays on teams on his time off. Now even his son Joshua is following in his footsteps and plays on a team. Marcos has always been an advocate of one of our core values in being creative. Another one of his hobbies is he like to partake in the Tonsorial art or in other words barbering. He’s a really good barber an actually even practices on himself cutting his own hair using mirrors every week. His dreams are to someday own his own barber shop where people can come in and relax and get freshened up. Marcos is once again a father to his daughter Pricilla. She was born July 17th, 2019 weighing in at 8.2lbs and she was 20” long from what we hear from Marcos she loves to sleep. Mother Rachel is doing great with new baby Pricilla. Congratulations to the new parents I know we can’t wait to meet our newest member of the Loyalty family.

Fun Fact: Topaz, a semi-precious stone that symbolizes friendship, is found in many colors, but it is the orange-yellow version that is the traditional birthstone that ranges from yellow to orange in color, is considered another November birthstone. It is often for November. Citrine, which is a quartz crystal mistaken for the orange-yellow topaz, which is the more expensive of the two stones. Yosemite National Park was established on October 1st, 1890.
