President’s Letter

Hello Team Loyalty!

Can you believe this will be the last newsletter of the year; I certainly cannot believe that 2022 is one month away from being over, Halloween was yesterday it feels like. Well enough of that.

I truly hope you all had an amazing Thanksgiving! It is that time of the year that I feel we must think of others; our team members, family, and our clients. We are in business to make a profit for sure, but we want to do that by living our Vision, Values and Goals. We produced those and I believe we have been able to truly grow and do a better job of living these Values and have done an incredible job of building our culture. Culture makes profit; culture amongst us, culture with our teams and culture with our clients. If we did not have clients, SLA team members, our leadership teams, and our corporate office Wayne, Javi, HR, and our bookkeeper, we would not be in business. I feel we have built a culture where each part of our puzzle relies on the other to run an efficient and profitable company. I am profoundly grateful for all that every one of you does for me, for your peers and for the company Loyalty Pawn. Thank You!!

December will be a busy month and as you have seen already from Black Friday this should be by far our best retail month of the year. We as a team will need to communicate with each other, especially about clients' wants and needs if we want to reach our sales goals. We can help each of us hit those revenue goals and end the year with a bang. I KNOW we will be able to hit our goals; we have more inventory, knowledge, and better culture this year. Reach out to your friends and families, post on Face Book, Snap Chat, Instagram, etc. and let all your followers know we are here to help with great deals on amazing products this holiday season especially in the jewelry, watches, and luxury goods departments. If you have any friends or family that has any special requests for larger diamonds, a particular handbag, a watch we do not have in inventory, or any other unique item please reach out to me I have contact throughout the entire United States and a few outside the United States and can track down anything.

Thank You all again for a great 2022, I am looking forward to the New Year and continued success and growth in each of you, in our Loyalty Pawn family and of course the company.

Happy Holidays

Letter from the General Manager

Greetings Everyone,

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. AS November ends, we have a cold December to look forward to. I can’t believe that we’re entering December. Where has the time gone? As we near the end of the year, we will naturally have a cycle of loan growth, but we will have to stay on top of creative sales through the holidays. Please make sure to finesse and tidy up our store merchandise and displays for our inventory. We are counting on a strong December to finish off 2022.

Speaking of sales, our top salespeople for November were Dominic T. in first place. Mark X. got second place, and Paul M. was 3rd place for the month. Great job, gentlemen. I’m sure someone from team Broadway will be looking to be in the top 3 in December!

Soon, we will be getting our jagi lot back to get out to the stores. Also, we have had some nice watches and silver rounds that we have come across. These items will be priced and sent out for the holidays as well. While we have a phenomenal sale for December, please consult your management team member if offers are given on inventory prior to a client leaving. We want to entertain offers and ensure that if the sale cannot be secured, then the layaway will be.

To conclude, it’s nice to see the locations embracing the holiday spirit. We have received compliments from clients regarding how nice the stores look and how friendly the team members are. These testimonials are also being pushed through our google reviews. Keep up the great work, teams and continue the positive holiday cheer!

Sincerely,

“Things turn out best for the people who make the best of the way things turn out.” – John Wooden

Loyalty Pawn Family

Hi there, Loyalty Family!

First, I'd like to wish you and yours a very merry Christmas and happy new year. I really couldn't believe it was already December and the end of the year. This is always a wonderful time to reflect on what we've accomplished and where we fell short. Fortunately, a new year means new opportunities. While we're getting increasingly familiar with Bravo, I'm excited to see how much we can accomplish with this software and a full year of data. If you guys have ideas for promotions or ads, we can run please don’t hesitate to let us know. This month we would like to introduce you to Quincy, who works on the Broadway team.

1. Who is your hero and why? I've never really considered anybody my hero, but I've had my fare share of hard times. I've found that music has helped me pull myself out of those bad places by reminding me of the things that are truly important - and the things I need to hear.

2. What is your favorite family vacation? My pop and I went to Kauai a few years ago. He used to have a firearm store there, so he reunited with some old friends, and we went boar hunting, hiking, and fishing. It was amazing to be brought into their family and experience the food and island culture. It also helped that my pop knew all of the local spots. The corporate tourist stuff has always grossed me out so I feel pretty lucky to have had the experience I did

3. What did you want to be when you were small? Unlike most kids, I had no idea what I wanted to be when I grew up, so I've always felt a type of stress and urgency to figure that out. I figure I just always wanted to be the best I could be at whatever I did

4. What is your favorite game or sport to watch and play? I started skiing about the same time I started walking, and before that - my pop would strap me to the front of him with a baby harness and ski with me like that. In my early teens I started racing the PNW circuit and my u19 year I ended up the #1 downhill skier in the PNW.After years of racing, I lost love for the adrenaline, and I just missed skiing with friends and family. I'll always and forever be a skier and watching a good downhill race still gives me the same feeling of excitement and adrenaline.

5. What would you sing at karaoke night? All I Want to Do - Sheryl Crow Or Family Tradition - Hank Williams Jr. It really depends.

6. Have you ever had a nickname? What is it? My current nickname is Coldcuts referring to my copious consumption of deli sandwiches and love of meat over all other food.

7. Would you rather win the lottery or work at the perfect job?And why? Id rather work the perfect job because ideally, I'd be working for myself, doing what I love, and making a lot of money doing it. I'd rather have something of my own that I can shape and grow, and have a consistent stream of income, rather than winning the lottery. That money runs out.

8. Who would you want to be stranded with on a deserted island? I don't want to say because at some point one of us is going to be eaten - and it's not me. So that factors into my decision.

9. If you could go back in time, what year would you travel to and why? The mid 1980s no specific year, I would just really like to see Dire Straights in concert among many other bands.

10. How would your friends describe you? Questionable in a good way.

11. What is the worst gift you have ever received? Aplastic monster truck. It would have made sense if I was into that type of stuff but I wasn't.

4

12. What are some of your hobbies? I enjoy cooking, reading, hunting, and being outdoors to name a few.

13. If you were a super-hero, what powers would you have? I'd have the power to see into the future.

14. What would you do if you won the lottery? Buy a house in the mountains by the river on a big piece of property and stay there.

15. What is your favorite holiday and why? Thanksgiving because I enjoy food. And my family lives far away so it's just me, my partner, and an 18 lb. turkey. And stuffing, and gravy, and herb potatoes, and cranberry. Basically, all of my friends.

16. What is your favorite sports team? None. Teams are overrated, it's all about the individual sports.

17. What is one of your favorite movies? Caddyshack.

18. What three items would you take with you on a deserted island? A. a boat, B. MRE'S, C.Aloaded .45 CAL.

19. 20. What was your favorite subject in school? CULTURALANTHROPOLOGY.

20. What is the most unusual things you’ve ever eaten? a raw deer kidney.

21. 22. Do you collect anything? Animal skulls, teeth, pelts, vintage and antique items, old coffee grinders.

22. What three things do you think of the most each day? Food, My lovely man, Creating scenarios in my head to gain a false sense of confidence to create and apply a persona that would theoretically get a physical or verbal response that I desire.

23. On a scale from 1-10 how funny would you say you are? Ask my coworkers. I don't like to come off as pretentious.

24. Where do you see yourself in 6 months? Pulling up to Loyalty Pawn in a big ole truck.

Roseville

Hello Team Loyalty,

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and is looking forward to an awesome December. I first want to congratulate Florin on getting 1 st place in sales for November. Great job team Florin you crushed it, and team Roseville is more motivated then ever to be in first place for the month of December. I also want to thank everyone who has help with Decembers Facebook ad video. I know its not easy and it takes a lot of effort to get in front of the camera. I appreciate you and I would encourage everyone to try it and step out of your comfort zone because it is a huge tool for brand recognition. It may also help your personal sales numbers when people start recognizing you face as the “hey I saw you on Facebook” person. If you want to try filming the ads just reach out to me or your store managers and we will get it rolling.

Broadway

Hello Team,

Well its finally here the month that we all love and fear. The holidays are upon us and the holidays gifts need buying. Broadway has put out a challenge that if they are able to sell $135k this month both John and Stan will dress like the tooth fairy for an entire day of work wings and everything. The store is all decorated and the layaways are getting picked up and we are excited to see what we can accomplish with the last month of the year. Ebay has been ramping up with listings and shipping to accommodate the holiday season.

December …

Did you know…December originally had just 30 days according to the ancient Roman calendar. When the calendar was changed for the Julian calendar, December gained a day, making it the seventh and last month in the year with 31 days.

Loyalty Pawn | Payroll Transition Update

Team Loyalty Pawn is now in the transition process of leaving ADP Run and preparing for a new/revised go live date with ADP Workforce Now on February 10th as the first Workforce Now pay date.

Loyalty Pawn leadership has made the decision to leverage the full power of MobileHRnow as its 24/7 HR and PR business partner. We’re super excited about this change happening in February 2023.

Be on the look out for your invitation to register for the new ADP Workforce Now employee account and mobile app midJanuary! Once we transition, you will no longer have access to Run and your employee dashboard will look a little different, but your time and attendance will be the same, just in the new Workforce Now account.

All employees will be required to register with the new ADP Workforce Now account so that you can start using the new Workforce Now time card. Details to be provided in January Nothing you need to do right now.

Back in the day, it was exceedingly common for businesses to have Christmas parties, give out Christmas bonuses, and send out Christmas wishes to their employees. The 21st century workforce, however, is becoming increasingly more diverse and those changes have an impact on the holiday season. Today, depending on where December falls in the lunar calendar, other cultural holidays can include, Eid al-Fitr, Ramadan’s festival of gift-giving (Muslim), Hanukkah (Jewish), Kwanzaa (African-American), Pancha Ganapati (Hindu), Yule (Pagan) or there are many people who don’t feel Christmas is a religious holiday but rather they view it as a secular holiday where they can spend time with friends and loved ones without any religious association.

It’s all about perspective. Read on→

How to Celebrate your team’s diversity during the holiday season.

For the 21st workforce, however, this can be challenging and while employers cannot require employees to participate in a religious or secular practice as a condition of employment, it’s difficult to try to find balance when the workforce is so diverse from both culture/secular and religious context.

There are holidays and celebrations that happen all throughout the year and yet they don’t seem to get the same kind of attention that holidays at the end of the year do. So, to truly foster an inclusive workplace during the holidays, we should be encouraging employees to share how they celebratewith one another. A LoyaltyPawn store/team could, for example, create a structured event, like a potluck, to cultivate sharing, or simply encourage your department heads and employees to read up on holidays different from their own. To keep from alienating employees and to help manage the variety of holidays and celebrations that accompany the end of the year, here are a few tips to keep in mind.

1. Include Everyone.

Instead of hosting a Christmas party, invite all employees to celebrate “the holidays,” and put the focus on happiness, hope, peace, the spirit of giving, and the importance of friends and family.

2. Show Decorum and be Civil with one another.

Most winter holidays are based on a religious belief, so if we’re not careful with our communications and wording, you could inadvertently offend some employees. Be aware of the decorations your store worksite uses, for example, a nativity scene and

16

be mindful that not everyone celebrates the same way. While it’s probably easiest to just refrain from using religious decorations altogether, they can still be part of a multicultural environment with the caveat that you must ensure all religions are represented. A straightforward way to be inclusive of winter holidays could be with a potluck lunch where contributors make a holiday dish from their culture. Oooh..Yum!!

3. Be Accommodating.

In a multi-cultural workplace, employees will have unique needs for holiday celebrations and observations. Offer floating religious holidays or provide flextime that employees can use on days of observance that might not be part of each store’s cultural holiday calendar.

4. Be Thoughtful.

If you do have a holiday party, provide non-alcoholic beverages for guests who don’t imbibe, as well as vegetarian and vegan options. And don’t just offer bottled water in lieu of booze. Create a custom mocktail and offer juices and mixers. When it comes to the food, a veggie tray or salad for the non-meat eaters could look like an afterthought. Plenty of catering companies offer vegan and vegetarian options so take advantage of a few menu items.

5. Don’t Make Festivities Mandatory

Be sure to offer employees an out from participating. Some are energized by the liveliness of a holiday party, but others find it exhausting and would rather stay home and re-charge their batteries. If some teams give gifts to each other or gather money for a gift card or nonprofit remember that some folks’ finances might be stretched thin, especially around the holidays. Make sure that everybody knows it’s perfectly okay to say no.

6. Communication is Key.

The best way to ensure inclusiveness is to keep your lines of communication open. Form a holiday committee made up of a cross-section of employees when you start planning. Encourage everyone to share holiday traditions, decorations and meals.

Remember, the holidays are meant to be a time for friends, family; a season of happiness and giving. Holiday celebrations and decorations should enrich the spirit of the season, not detract from it.

December…Celebration Days

• December 6 is Saint Nicholas Day. St. Nicholas, the patron saint of children, inspires traditions around the world from hunts for presents to stockings or shoes filled with sweets.

• December 7 is National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day.

• December 13 is St. Lucia’s Day, which has long been associated with festivals of light. Before the Gregorian calendar reform in 1752, her feast day occurred on the shortest day of the year (hence the saying “Lucy light, Lucy light, shortest day and longest night”).

• December 15 is Bill of Rights Day.

• December 17 is Wright Brothers Day.

• December 18 marks the beginning of Hanukkah.

• December 21 is the Winter Solstice the astronomical first day of winter in the Northern Hemisphere and first day of summer in the Southern Hemisphere.

• December 25 is Christmas Day, a Christian holiday commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ. Learn more about American Christmas traditions.

• December 26 is Boxing Day (Canada, UK) and the first day of Kwanzaa.

• On the last evening of the year, December 31, kiss the person you hope to keep kissing!

December … Just for Fun Days

Did you know that December is National Pear Month? Celebrate these fun holidays this month:

• Dec. 11: International Mountain Day

• Dec. 13: National Violin Day

• Dec. 13: National Day of the Horse

• Dec. 16: Underdog Day

• Dec. 26: National Candy Cane Day
