Christmas Holiday or Winter Solstice. Which do you celebrate?

No matter your religious affiliation or non-denominationalcultural preferences, the end of the Gregorian calendar year holds special meanings to all. Something for everyone is what makes the end of the year event so special.

For me, celebrating Winter Solstice is my preference. The winter solstice, also known as midwinter that is an astronomical phenomenon marking the day with the shortest period of daylight and the longest night of the year. It occurs when one of the Earth's poles has its maximum tilt away from the Sun. It happens twice yearly, once in each hemisphere (Winter and Summer). I marvel at all the ways people find to honor and celebrate what’s important to them like enjoying festivals, spending time with loved ones, feasting, singing, dancing, fires, and PRESENTS... duh!!

I take this time to thank each and every one of you from the Loyalty Team, in allowing me to continue to support you and provide tools, resources, and most importantly comradery as we collectively share in the growth, peace, love and prosperity that Loyalty has provided us all throughout this amazing 2018. Here’s to YOU...and may you continue experiencing all the fabulous bounties and blessings that the magnanimous universe has to offer as we get ready to leave 2018 and start 2019 with fresh ideas and renewed commitments to the things that matter the most individually and collectively. ~Namaste

December Birthstone – Dual Stones!

December’s birthstones offer three ways to fight the winter blues: tanzanite, zircon and turquoise – all of them, appropriately, best known for beautiful shades of blue. These gems range from the oldest on earth (zircon), to one of the first mined and used in jewelry (turquoise), to one of the most recently discovered (tanzanite). All of these stones are relatively inexpensive, but their beauty rivals even precious gems. Colorless zircon is a convincing replacement for diamond, tanzanite often substitutes sapphire, and turquoise is unmatched in its hue of robin’s egg blue.

Whatever your style preference or budget, one of December’s three birthstones will match your true-blue desires. Happy birthday to our December babies of Loyalty Pawn!

Winner of November’s – Who’s That Baby Now?

November’s Who’s that Baby showcase is non-other than... “Zabi Iqbal” of Florin Store. There were many guesses and only three employees guessed correctly! I held a drawing for those three and the winner of the drawing is JOSHUA BONTON of Broadway. He will be awarded an 8-hour PTO Day off and Zabi will be receiving a $50 Amazon Gift Certificate just for allowing us to get to know her better!

Things you didn’t know about Zabi.

Where did you grow up? San Mateo, California

What did you want to be when you grew up? A healthcare practitioner-but I fainted at the sight of blood, so I followed my heart which still wanted to help people and now I do...in the Pawn Industry. I’m so grateful and blessed!

What thing(s) would you like to share with the team-(things about you) that most people don't know? I’m a busy mom with two growing daughters and that keeps me super busy when I’m not working. Being a parent is my greatest adventure!

What three adjectives best describe you and why? Honesty. I do what I say and say what I do as I expect it of others. Loyal. Once you befriend me, I’m your friend for life and will be there to support you no matter what. Go-To. I am the kind of person who can be counted on and will take initiative and get things done.

What is it about the pawn industry that keeps you in it? I love that each day is always different like customer needs and stories they share, but the one thing that gives me career joy, is the “customers”. If I can’t help them from a healthcare perspective, I can help them in their financial time of need and that gives me tremendous satisfaction.

What is your favorite color? Sky Blue.

What is your favorite sport? I am not really into sports, per se, but if raising two very active daughters, counts, then I would have to say, “parenting” is my favorite sport.

What is your most memorable achievement-personally? When Javi was the store manager, he encouraged me to go through the GI Certification course. I’m so glad I did as I use the training and knowledge that I gained from this training both personally and professionally. I encourage anyone interested, who has not yet taken this course, to do so! You’ll be so glad you did!

What is your most memorable professional achievement? Continuing as an SLA for Loyalty Pawn.
