President’s Letter

Hello Loyalty Pawn Family,

Another month of 2024 is behind us. School is starting soon; my youngest daughter, London, is starting high school unbelievably. I am getting old! The good thing is, is that I do not feel old. Lilly my middle daughter is turning 19 on the same day she is moving to Mississippi to attend the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss, Hotty Toddy). I hope that everyone with kids is prepared or getting prepared for your children going off to school. The Loyalty Pawn family has children of all ages, and this time of the year is exciting for the kids and us parents. I am all excited, worried, and ready to watch my girls mature and become young ladies.

What a phenomenal loan growth month another all-time high, well-done team. We should be ready for another strong loan growth month or two. Back to school has typically been large growth month or two. As always, we need to focus on rollovers and sales to keep growing organically. Continue to loan aggressively on our “A” type goods and watch how much inventory we start accumulating on “C” type goods and loan accordingly. Keep up the amazing job and we will watch each of us and the company continue to do better.

Gratefully, Stan Lukowicz, III

Letter from the General Manager

Greetings Everyone,

Another month blew by! Summer feels as though it is going by quickly. However, Summer also seems like it isn’t going by fast enough with the back-to-back 100+ degree heat. We are gearing up for back-to-school. Children going back to school will be right around the corner. We have an excellent promotion for August that should gain a lot of traction. The sale for August will be 30% off. This is a great time to highlight the aged product!

We were able to keep up a strong pace in July. Our loan growth for the month improved and we grew by over 220k. We serviced more clients than we did in July 2023. We continue to suspect that this demand for capital is because of the inflation we all feel. Even though we had a strong loan growth month, our retail sales compared to July 2023 stayed relatively flat. However, our buys for July across the board increased by 50% compared to July 2023. We anticipate August to continue the growth trend in both loans and purchases while seeing retail increase a minimum of 5%.

As always, we love to present the top salesman of the month. Dominic T. got first place, Ah X. 2nd place, and Matthew S. 3rd place. Many thanks to those who continue to push and challenge yourselves to be excellent! You continue to utilize the business tools from Layaways, follow-up binder, proper sales presentation, and Sales standards and the results begin to show in your performance. Thank you!

To conclude, we have purchased a couple gem lightbox pro. These cameras/ lightbox’s can take far better professional pictures of our inventory than we have used in the past. One of our goals is to obtain 1 per location to highlight our inventory better, as well as our current jewelry loans. We believe that when we get set up with mobile pawn, our clients will have access to view their active items via the Bravo mobile app. If our clients can look at their item with a picture that enhances the item, the client might be less likely to default on their item. This would be a win/win for the client and the company. We will have more to come regarding this and mobile pawn.

Sincerely,

“Adaptability is about the powerful difference between adapting to cope and adapting to win. –Max Mckeown

While we faced some challenges in retail sales at certain locations, I want to take a moment to celebrate our successes. Security Awareness

With the rise of loan balances, our clients are in greater need than ever before. Unfortunately, as gold prices continue to skyrocket, criminals are becoming more desperate to strike. The 7-11 store located next door to El Camino has only been open for a few months, yet it has already fallen victim to three robberies, one of which occurred in broad daylight at gunpoint. In light of these incidents, it is imperative that we take every precaution to ensure our safety and security.

One of the key steps we can take is to conduct consistent inventory counts. This will help us identify any discrepancies or missing items, allowing us to promptly address any potential security breaches. Additionally, it is crucial that we always ask for identification when customers request to view jewelry. This simple yet effective measure can help deter criminals and ensure that we are dealing with legitimate individuals.

Furthermore, it is essential for all of us to become part of the jewelers' crime alert network. This network provides valuable information, tips, and news about the industry, helping us stay informed and, most importantly, safe. By actively participating in this network, we can collectively work towards preventing and addressing security threats within our industry.

In conclusion, with the escalating need of our clients and the increasing value of gold, the risk of criminal activity is on the rise. To protect ourselves and our business, we must remain vigilant, conduct regular inventory checks, request identification from customers, and actively engage with the jewelers' crime alert network. By doing so, we can better ensure our safety and contribute to the overall security awareness of our industry.

Shop Talk Manager Updates

Greetings Loyalty Pawn Fam,

I hope everyone had a fantastic July! Can you believe we’re already halfway through the year? Time flies when you're having fun or in our case, selling, buying, and gearing up for the holidays. Speaking of which, Christmas is only 4 months away! That means it’s time to kick things into high gear. We’ve got a shiny new goal of $66,000, but here at Team El Camino, we’re not just aiming to hit that target, we’re gunning for $70,000!

As we continue to fill up our buy room and lend out like there’s no tomorrow, let’s get serious about clearing out our current inventory. We’ve explored every platform under the sun to spread the word about our amazing deals. Now, let’s put that strategy to work and make this month a blockbuster! Here’s to a fantastic August for everyone at Loyalty Pawn!

Roseville

Hi Team Loyalty

I want to take a moment to express my deep appreciation for our incredible Roseville team Brittany, Dom, Danni, and Matthew. Your hard work and dedication truly shone through last month. We set a sales goal of $49,000 for July, and not only did we meet it, but we also surpassed it by an incredible margin, achieving $79,000 in sales! This is a testament to your commitment and teamwork. As we move into August, let's carry this momentum forward. We've proven what we can achieve when we work together, and I have no doubt that we can exceed our goals once again this month. Let's keep pushing, stay focused, and continue to crush it!

Thank you for all that you do,

Broadway

Hello Team,

As we approach the holiday season, it's the perfect time to strengthen our team spirit and uplift everyone's mood. Let's come together to foster a sense of unity and collaboration that extends beyond our daily tasks. By celebrating our collective achievements, recognizing individual contributions, and sharing moments of joy, we can create a supportive and positive atmosphere. Engaging in team-building activities, expressing gratitude, and setting aside time for informal interactions will help enhance our connection and enthusiasm. As we enter this festive season, let’s embrace the opportunity to build camaraderie and ensure that our workplace is not only productive but also a place where everyone feels valued and motivated.

Florin Mall

Hello Everyone,

I hope everyone had a wonderful July! Team Florin set a sales target of $79k for the month, and I'm pleased to report that we exceeded it, reaching nearly $83k. As we approach the midpoint of the third quarter, our focus for August is to achieve a 20% sales goal. I’m actively reaching out and searching for qualified candidates to join Team Florin. Additionally, we are excited to announce that we have achieved a remarkable loan balance of $2 million, That is a significant milestone for us. Moving forward, I aim to reach $100k in layaway by the end of this month, which could translate to an extra $25k in pickups, assuming a 25% pickup rate and that will help us achieve our sales goal. We have a great sales for this month on all music instruments and laptops 30% off.

As Bruce Lee said, “Knowing is not enough; we must apply. Willing is not enough; we must do.” Let's strive for excellence!

AUGUST…

A Silly Poem by Spike Milligan

Said Hamlet to Ophelia, I'll draw a sketch of thee, What kind of pencil shall I use? 2B or not 2B?

AUGUST CALENDAR OF NATIONAL EVENTS

• August 1, traditionally known as Lammas Day, was an old festival to mark the annual wheat and corn harvest. It was a sort of Thanksgiving (harvest time) in Britain. Lammas also marked the mid-point between the summer solstice and autumn equinox.

• August 5 is also a Civic Holiday in many parts of Canada. Celebrations and names for this holiday vary across the country. For example, in Alberta, it’s celebrated as Heritage Day; in British Columbia, it’s known as British Columbia Day!

• August 10 is St. Lawrence’s Day. “Fair weather on St. Lawrence’s Day presages a fair autumn.”

• August 11 marks the end of the Dog Days of Summer, which began on July 3.

• August 17 is when the Cat Nights begin, harking back to a rather obscure Irish legend concerning witches; this bit of folklore also led to the idea that a cat has nine lives.

• August 19 brings National Aviation Day, chosen for the birthday of Orville Wright who piloted the first recorded flight of a powered heavier-than-air machine in 1903.

• August 24 is St. Bartholomew Day. “At St. Bartholomew, there comes cold dew.”

• August 26 is Women’s Equality Day, which celebrates the 1920 ratification of the Nineteenth Amendment and, with it, women’s right to vote in the United States.

Here are some more fun things to celebrate in August:

• Aug. 1–7: International Clown Week

• Aug. 3: National Watermelon Day

• Aug. 8: National Sneak Some Zucchini Onto Your Neighbor’s Porch Day

• Aug. 10: National S’mores Day

• Aug 12: Vinyl Record Day

• Aug. 13: International Left-Handers Day

• Aug. 20: International Geocaching Day

• Aug. 20: World Honeybee Day

• Aug. 25: Kiss-and-Make-Up Day

• Aug. 31: National Trail Mix Day
